We got a great deal from Groupon, two nights B&B and dinner on first night. Please note this deal includes continent breakfast, which I found more than plenty, but Groupon haven't made this clear.

We paid a little extra for the deluxe room, which was lovely. Sian gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our room with its brass bed. The view from our room (no 2 ) was stunning, two comfy chairs placed strategically in front of the window made you want to stay and enjoy it! There were tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, sweets, a good hair dryer, all nice little touches to make you feel welcome. The double bed was very comfortable, the room nice and quiet.
Our evening meal was excellent. Probably the best salmon I have tasted in a long time and my husband had the best shepherds pie ever, made with big chunks of lean lamb. Dessert was also delicious, helpings generous. Wine was a very reasonable price. The staff were lovely, we felt very much at home.
Breakfast was better than many 4star hotels. There was a huge selection of fresh fruit and cereal, toast and preserves. For a mere £7 extra you could have the Welsh breakfast, my husband said it was one of the best cooked breakfasts he's ever had, with quality local produce.
We ate in the hotel again on the second night and the food was just as good. The prices are so reasonable, you don't need to go anywhere else to eat, the quality would take a lot of beating.
The owners create a nice atmosphere, making it easy to make new friends to chat to.

This is a small hotel full of lovely surprises.
The couple running it couldn"t do enough to make us comfortable , and Kevin is an excellent chef. We had 3 beautiful dinners , and very generous breakfasts , including fresh fruit "to die for".
The whole atmosphere , quality of our room , and views were perfect. We will definitelly return

Room Tip: The front for views or the side for a balcony

We visited for a drink in the bar. A warm and friendly welcome a good selection of beers on draught. Food looked excellent and good portions, although we did`nt eat at the time there was a party of about 15 people who were and their comments were very favourable. Good Luck to Kevin and Sian the new owners of The Ael Y Bryn. We shall return!

In March 2014 we stayed with our family for the weekend, two nights. Our group included four grandchildren and we occupied three rooms in all. Everything was quite wonderful as we were all made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The grandchildren enjoyd every minute of it and did not want to come home, that's worth a lot. Kevin and Sian are excellent hosts and all their staff were brilliant. Kevins food really is something special, a chef who really knows how to go that extra mile and everything sourced locally. Bar staff are brilliant and ther is an excellent selection of real ales and good wines. All in all a most relaxing break and we shall visit again when we can. THANKS. Phil C

I live locally so have not experienced the accommodation, but have eaten there, and again next week. The food is great, portions are your size choice.
The dining room is sunny with beautiful sea views.
Chairs in the bar have been covered completely - nice touch.
Sian is an excellent host - attentive but not pushy.
Kevin's food is great.
I have asked for maybe day/residential cooking course when times are quiet.
Would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at the Ael y Bryn for two nights. Lovely comfortable, spacious room - lots of little extras like sweets for the children - attention to detail. The bar and restaurant food is fabulous - great value and all home made (including real chips). Open fire, real ale and lots of laughter which made us feel relaxed and at home. Sian and Kevin are great hosts and we were made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious including gorgeous fresh fruit and local produce. We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: Room 9 is a great family room.
