I think people often forget about this restaurant because of the location, however I personally think that this restaurant is one of the best options for those looking for good food, not a turistic place. Nice atmosphere, great service and good selection of wine. Female server could be less intrusive, I think is cultural, nothing wrong but some people don't like being interrupted all the time.
Thank you for the great dinner.

The Brasserie is a firm favourite locally and never disappoints. Yesterday was no exception. A delicious, perfectly chilled Yellow Fin Tuna tartare accompanied by a glass of Veuve... just perfect. The service was charming and you can't help but relax in the restaurants sophisticated but understated ambience. Locally caught Red Snapper is a great special - if you see it on the menu - try it!

If you're visiting the island, The Brasserie is a must - truly some of the best food I have tasted anywhere.

There are a lot of fancy restaurants on Grand Cayman where you can drop more than $125 on a dinner for four (without drinks!). I'm going to tell you why you should go to the Brasserie instead of some of the others.

First of all, it has a really nice calm old British Tropical atmosphere, reminiscent of Raffles in Singapore. You would feel comfortable here wearing nice casual or dressy clothing -- the choice is yours. Apparently a lot of locals come here for special occasions. This place was recommended to us by several local people.

Secondly, if you want a fancy fussy meal but someone else you're dining with wants a burger, come on Wednesday night. They have a "build your own burger" menu that includes Kobe beef, sirloin, turkey burger, veggie burger, etc -- with all the fixings of your choice. On the night we went here, some of us had the burgers while I had an absolutely AMAZING seafood stew -- it was PERFECT!!! The burgers were also really great. And the desserts are artful and delicious, including many exotic ice cream and sorbet flavors.

The service was very good and the atmosphere was upscale without feeling pretentious.

I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!

On our final night in Grand Cayman, we elected to experience The Brasserie because of the stellar reviews we found online. This restaurant is truly a gem and was simply the perfect way to complete our lovely stay on the island.

The ambiance is elegant, yet inviting. Though we came without a reservation, we were able to claim a comfy, cushioned booth because it was a weekday night. Our server was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about wine pairing/the menu and made us feel comfortable overall.

After ordering wine, we were treated to a "shot" of a lovely chilled cucumber soup. This restaurant is special because they are largely self-sustaining. They have an onsite garden, bakery (the bread was amazing), and they even possess a fishing boat to catch some of their own fish.

The seafood pasta special was to die for - huge chunks of mahi, tuna, fresh mussels, and meaty shrimp. My boyfriend enjoyed a well-prepared Kobe burger. For dessert, we relished the homemade ice cream (the dark chocolate Cayman sea salt is a must!).

Then, as the perfect finale, the GM invited us into the kitchen to view the 90lb yellowfin tuna they had just received! All around a fantastic meal with attentive, upbeat staff. A MUST for any couple or group looking for a special night in Grand Cayman.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Brasserie on Grand Cayman. Freindly and very attentive wait staff; delicious, fresh fish caught by their own boats; interesting appetizers and wine specials, all in a lovely environment. It's located in Cricket Square in Georgetown near a newly constructed office park.
