“Best on the island, a hidden Jem!”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

The restaurant is hidden away in the financial district of Georgetown, it is not a tourist trap! So much so it is closed on the weekends. We have been here twice in less than a week. Everything about it is top flight, yet it is less costly than most restaurants that we would consider sub par. We went on a Monday for the Chef Special. The best Res Snapper I have ever eaten. A total explosion of taste. On Thursday we went back for tacos. Excellent. Both htimes Adam was our server. He was attentive and great. The locals love this place, their hidden Jem and we did I too. A MUST on your trip to Grand Cayman!

“Perfect food, decor, music, service....just go”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

I should start by saying we were determined to find this place. Parked our rental in the heart of Georgetown. The level of kindness in Cayman is of another level, stopped a professionally dressed local business women who realized we were "on the hunt" for The Brasserie, she actually telephoned her workplace and stated she would be a bit delayed due to the fact that she "was assisting a lost visitor". She explained in detail that it is just behind the Cayman Administration Bldg. at 133 Elgin.....just behind the professional office space. So worth the trip. Dark cherry wood, comfortable couches with cream colored fluffy cushions to sink into. The music and wine room are a sight and sound to behold. (Sade, Diana Krall, Sting...along those soothing lyrics).....sharing plates are delightful. Chicken liver pate with grilled toast points, sweet red beet slaw and shaved prosciutto, who knew! What a combo, hats off to the chef. Shared a grilled cheese, flavor, creamy, smooth. Two salads: one baby field greens w/ all kinds of surprises & local watermelon w/ balsamic, blue cheese, cured olives....I should have known from the initial bread basket, true sourdough & 7 grain....wine by the glass (whatever you can possibly think of). Service attentive but not overbearing. Just go. Prices are very reasonable. Garden is beautiful. Will be a return guest, more proper attire for a full-on dinner experience.

“Food exceptional, service on point - nice shift from the touristy circuit”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Food was fantastic - farm to table - and there were interesting cocktails and a decent selection wines by the glass. Service was really attentive and they were helpful in getting my toddler his food when it was ready, so he was occupied sooner than later. Only downside is the location is a bit of a walk from downtown among office buildings, but it was a beautiful space indoors and had a nice patio.

“Best of the Best”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

I have dined in many fine restaurants in many locales & the Brasserie is simply the Best! Nowhere else can you enjoy top farm/boat to table cuisine in beautiful British Colonial atmosphere so professionally prepared & presented. I would never miss an opportunity to dine at the Brasserie, either indoors or outdoors in the "farm". If you have only one meal in Cayman, it should be here.

“Think it's our favorite”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

Third time and three times a dining delight. I'm beginning to think The Brasserie is the favorite restaurant for my wife and I -- we've always had such a wonderful experience. Our menu selections have always been the chef's 5-course tasting with wine pairing; easy, fun, and perfect for us, and more importantly, delicious from salad to desert. The team-oriented service is friendly and helpful from the moment you walk into the door-- in fact, I left one of two "meritorious service" pins provided to my by Trip Advisor for the purpose of saluting great service. For a special delight, ask to see the vegetable garden where the restaurant grows most of its fresh vegetables and herbs.
