Description: The George Town Yacht Club (GTYC) is located on the waterfront at The Barcadere Marina, Grand Cayman. Conveniently located next to the airport, with a FREE shuttle running every 15 minutes, it is a great place to spend time waiting for a flight. It is accessible by land or sea, with plenty of parking for your car or boat, and is the perfect place to relax after a day out on the water, unwind after a day in the office, share your fish stories, or simply hang out with good friends. The menu is appealing to all tastes with an emphasis on local seafood, from conch ceviche to our daily fresh catch, and our famous flame grilled dishes served with your choice of sides. Of course, lunchtime favourites such as burgers and wings are offered or, for those with a lighter palate, the salads are outstanding.GTYC is also an ideal place to host parties, functions and events, either poolside or inside. The private clubhouse and scenic balcony are available to individuals, companies, service clubs and other organizations, to host fishing tournaments, birthday, Christmas and New Years Eve parties, wedding receptions, business meetings, seminars, charitable and cultural events or any other casual, or formal, function.

Been back several times since my first visit! Great food, great atmosphere. My stepfather was visiting and has gluten issues, Sass, our server took over our table after our first server did not instill a lot of confidence in us regarding our menu questions. Sass easily answered all queries and was a polite, friendly professional. We had a fantastic evening.

I live here in the Cayman Islands and I most say this is one of the best "hangs" that we have seen here in 8 years. Amy the maitre'd is very welcoming, the ambience and food is great, mid budget good quality. I recommend the Oriental Ices Tea cocktail at $10 with 5 shots in it for a nice buzz and try there Cassava fries, fish and Chips and moist succulent Chicken Wings, whilst you chill out by the sailboats. Its great for lunch and dinner.

If it were possible, I would give this place more than 5 stars. When we arrived, we thought that the service would be very slow as it was a full house. We were proved wrong. Thom(as) took amazing care of us. Smiling the entire time, he promptly took our drinks and food order. Despite being rushed off his feet, he came back to ensure our food was good and our drinks were topped up. The calamari was amazing. It had the perfect amount of breading and seasoning. The burger and fries were delicious. The vegetarian pasta was also very good. The setting was how I pictured Cayman before I moved here with the Yacht Club and the boats coming and going. It has that modern tropical vibe like Camana Bay without the plasticity and price tag.

We went with our 7 year old - get's really busy at the weekends but I can see why. There is a splash pool in the middle of the outside area, which has a great design - very shallow on the outside and deeper in the middle. She had such a great time - we came back later on in the week! Food is great too - ceviche fantastic, as were the light johnny cakes. Calamari fresh and divine! Good kids meals. Lovely lounging areas all around the pool and changing available. Looks out on the yachts, and a little walk out to a landscaped beach and lighthouse. Very near to the airport, and apparently they will be running a tram/bus service to and from soon. So our final visit was a few drinks to finish our holiday before setting off home.

Looking for a light seafood meal? Recommend the Conch Ceviche and Johnny Cakes with Ginger beer. Two of us ate this and a daily special, today Wahoo, ceviche. The chef spices these nicely with an interesting bite; conch includes sweet peppers, onion, and cilantro; Wahoo included orange, onion and cilantro.

Be careful with the side sauces. The mild has a bite which kicks in on your tongue, the next has a latent bite which sneaks into the back of your mouth and stays. We did not try the hottest.
