We stopped in here to watch the sunset and have a couple of drinks and an appetizer before dinner. I really cannot vouch for the food here as we only had the spinach dip - which was good. I do wish they served it with some chips as the pretzel bread was very filling...
Their drinks are the typical tropical ones you find elsewhere on the island but were very accommodating in making a concoction off the menu (and did it well I might add)!

Oct 14th 2013 1st port stop for our Disney Fantasy Cruise. We found a nice lady offering us a ride for $25 ($5pp) to Seven Mile Beach. We got it down to $15, & she actually dropped us off next door at some apts/condos & told us to walk down the pathway. It was like a 2 min walk & we were on the beach & didn't have to pay $2pp to use their beach. Nice tip!

The beach is AMAZING. It was like a dream! It rained, but it was still very warm & felt amazing. We chose not to use their $5 chairs, but used their outside showers & changing/bathroom before we left. We did not eat, drink anything there. We didn't know what to expect, so we brought drinks & snacks.

A few of our fellow cruisers were there & they ate and used their facilities and seemed to like it. We weren't there as long, so we didn't need to. The server came around several times and made sure you knew there was a fee to use their loungers or covered cabanas. They did have a volleyball net set up, but no one was playing. They also were renting jet skis.

Royal Palms is surrounded by condos & vacation rentals, to the left, and each place seems to have their own part of the shore. We walked as far as we could back towards the ship & found these really neat floating circle loungers at a vacation rental place. Me & 2 of my teens laid on one & had plenty of room. There were also 2 docks you could climb on & jump off.

Royal Palms was nice, but I'd like to see what else there is.

Dear Trip Advisor reviewer,
Thank you for letting us know that the nice taxi lady did not charge you the legal taxi fee that all taxis are supposed to abide by. It is also very impressive that you managed to bypass paying the $2.00 charge that covers the cost of the showers, changing rooms , free use of the pool, security, free wifi and keeping the beach in pristine condition for our guests. I am hoping that there are not many guests such as yourself that feel the need to cheat.
Please do look for somewhere else next time.

We traveled on the Carnival Conquest last week. Came to the Royal Palms after our excursion (Sting Ray tour, which rocked btw).

The club was great. Good food and drinks. Could've had better service ON the beach...seemed like they had more servers in the main area.

Someone stole my husbands brand new oakleys...(real ones...)...they were in his shoes and under our lounge chair with a towel on top.

And taking a cab from here to port was just silly. They wanted to cram lots of people in cabs to get more bang for the buck...but my hubby and I are not used to riding with strangers on top of us...so we paid extra to ride solo. It was like pulling teeth to get a cabbie to understand that we didn't want to ride with people we didn't know.

The cab driver we DID get...made us pray with him or he wouldn't let us out of the van. We are agnostic...so this was very awkward for us.

All in all...it was a good time. It was very affordable fun. Just wish they had lockers.

This was our second visit to Royal Palms in less than a year. This venue has so much to offer -- gorgeous beach, beach chairs ($5.00/pp), adult-only pool, bar, restaurant, changing area, showers.

The locals will try to talk you out of going here. I really don't know why. They state the $2.00 "admission fee". Don't listen. $2.00 is a bargain...especially on Grand Cayman.

This is the place to go if you want to kick back, relax and share a bucket of Caybrew beer. ($23.00/5 beer) Terrific spot for cruise ship passengers. Ample taxis to get you back to the ship.
