“Great location. Good for families.”
Reviewed 21 July 2012

Great location. Good for families. 2 things they can improve on are there was no place to order food (including lunch) without waiter service (the smack bat only had candy, chips and ice cream) -- it would have been nice to get the kids something quick and lite to eat without having to tip all the time. The 2nd thing was we never took advantage of the children's program bc it seemed a bit boring for my active boys. A more comprehensive program would be great.

My wife and I took a long overdue vacation to celebrate my 65th birthday and our 38th wedding anniversary. Our stay at the Marriott clearly exceeded both of our expectations. From our entrance onto the property we were treated and greeted with the highest level of high touch personal professionalism. Specifically I want to acknowledge and express the delightful relationships and service we experienced with Mark Mata and Gergana at the front desk; Waleed and his constant companion, Echo the parrot and Julie and Mary two gracious baristas at the coffee/breakfast bar. They provided consistently magical service and attention. If you choose to stay here, I encourage you to make your requests and any concerns known immediately. Staff were immediately responsive. Although the beach front initially seemed too small and constrained given the volume of use, we quickly adjusted and enjoyed our use of the beach and the excellent snorkeling conditions. We also recommend Cemetery beach for snorkeling. Rick Wellock Ligonier PA

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, the services were excellent. The hotel is located at the popular 7 Miles Beach, the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Room at higher floor is recommended ...

Spent a week at the GC Marriott July 5, 2012 for a week on a family vacation. Our first time in the Cayman Islands. Hotel was beautiful, super clean and well air conditioned. All the Staff was super nice, very friendly and accomodating! Had an ocean front room which was gorgeous. Our first day or two the pool and beach were crowded after that we had no problems getting chairs. Pool area is very nice, narrow beach area but loved the table and chairs in the water and the giant rings the hotel provided to lay on. Would definitely come back here again to stay. A fabulous hotel!! Across the way is a small restaurant named Cimboco - we loved it and ate many a breakfast and dinner there. Food is delicious and reasonable. Definitely rent a car for a day or two to see the island.

The hotel was clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly............The weather was great and the water magnificent ...only drawback a very short beach....I went down to the beach at 7am daily and set up 2 lounge chairs by the water as their is limited front row space and that worked out fine.........We had a comp for breakfast daily and a 100 resort credit which was a big plus......the Red Parrot restaurant on site was very good........everything is expensive in the Caymans ...a 50 dollar charge in CI money is 60 US money...all considered we had a very good time and would go back...The Marriott is scheduled for a renovation next year........

We had a group of 7 and the hotel staff were very accommodating. Had 2 rooms adjoining and another just down the hall. Staff were all outstanding. Ceasar the greeter and doorman was a joy. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Very interesting conversations with many of the 57 nationalities of people working there. Everything we asked for was addressed. We arranged a Stingray City snorkeling trip thru the hotel http://www.captainmarvins.com/ and it couldn't have been any better. Highly suggest taking your own snorkeling gear as there are good spots to go right at the hotel and you won't have to buy or rent. Many good restaurants nearby but you need to take a cab to some. La Dolce Vita (great Italian), Deckers (all you can eat lobster), and Copper Falls (steakhouse) all highly recommended. Shopping was a disappointment, GeorgeTown has lots of jewelry shops, etc. but we just didn't see anything we wanted. We wanted to see the local crafts but apparently they are way down on one end and we just didn't make it down that far. Seven Mile Beach is beautiful and we took many walks. Narrow beach but plenty of room for all. Attentive service on the beach and delicious daily drinks.

Wonderful staff! From the front door to the beach everyone was helpful, happy and went way beyond what was necessary to make our trip fantastic. I wish I could remember everyone’s names! Thank you for making my birthday trip unforgettable. The rooms were a great size, very clean and well supplied. We didn't have to ask for anything, I always love a robe and slippers. We had corner room towards the front of the hotel with a great view and a very large balcony; we were also near the stairs which made getting to the beach super easy.
The beach service is wonderful with everyone remembering your name, that you like an umbrella and your favorite drinks all week long, the beach menu was also delicious. (We did buy beer and snacks at the grocery store and brought cooler with us, keep it on the qt) Make sure to eat at Coconut Joes or Cimboco's for breakfast/lunch and having dinner at the Wharf is a must. Also walk down to Camana Bay, great stores and restaurants. The hotels location is perfect for you are able to walk to many different stores, restaurants and bars. Stop in and have a pint at Fidel Murphys down the road from the Marriott.
