Everyone working at the hotel is really so nice! We came for spring break with a 3 year old and 6 year old! They had a blast! There is great snorkeling at the hotel with tons of fish to see! You can bring small pieces of bread and feed them and more will come! They had docks, and trampolines for anyone wanting to sunbathe. The beach was very crowded and you did have to get a chair early. But I knew that coming! We went to grocery store after arriving and purchased beer, breakfast and some lunch items. There is plenty if service at the pool or beach and always smiling offering any help! They have activities for kids such as snail race, cotton candy, s'more party, lantern send off and few others. It was fun! The restaurants were good, we did taco night and pirate party, other nights we ate off site for dinner and few times for lunch.

Great location a few restaurants nearby and grocery store you can take local bus out front($8 for 4 of us) each way. Make sure you visit downtown Georgetown! Great snorkel area and restaurants, we missed shopping (husband happy) due to Good Friday but it looked like there was some good options!

Tip: Bring your own snorkel and fin gear, small pool toys, lots of sunscreen, sand buckets (they have a few but they disappear quickly), buy any drinks at grocery store - two near by, if hotel busy get chairs early, they have chair covers and towels so get both at towel desk, they have free water near pool, we liked lower floor room easy access for beach and pool for my little one.

Dear macdo, thank you for taking the time to provide a review of our resort. We are thrilled that you and your family had a blast! We really appreciate your generous comments about our great hotel, nice staff and good restaurants.

We really want our guests to have the ultimate beach house experience so we are delighted that you were able to enjoy snorkelling at our Artificial Reef Project, our fun sand & sea activities such as the floating trampolines and our family activities like the bonfires, S’mores and lantern send off. It sounds like you and your family were really able to reconnect and spend quality time together!

Did you and the family also have the chance to check out Stingray City? It is incredible how timid these creatures are! Being able to stand in the Sand Bar while stingrays of all sizes surround you is really an experience that shouldn’t be missed. We really recommend this excursion to our guests and they often come back to tell us that it was the highlight of their trip.

Thank you for choosing Marriott and we hope to welcome you back again to our beautiful island very soon!

All the best,
Ingrid Chaves, Director of Rooms Operations

Can't say enough about this property. Great beach, very friendly and accommodating staff, wonderful landscaping, on site restaurants were excellent. We went to a Buccaneer Buffet at the hotel. The buffet was excellent and the children in our group were enthralled by the Pirates, limbo contest, "tattoos" , etc. We will definitely go back as soon as we can. There a numerous top notch restaurants on the island with great ocean side decks . The tour to see the stingrays should not be missed. Also, catamaran trip with Red Sail to Rum Point for dinner was well worth it.

Room Tip: The courtyard view rooms were great.

Dear gary089, thank you for sharing your thoughts on your recent stay at our resort. We are thrilled that you and your family had the best vacation ever! We really appreciate your kind comments about our great beach, very friendly and accommodating staff, wonderful landscaping and excellent restaurants.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your time at the Bucaneer’s Feast. Our guests often comment that it such a fun night out for all ages! Did your children have the chance to check out our Kids Club? When my General Manager asked me to come up with a kids’ program I wanted to offer our families something different rather than having a Kids Club where children just end up watching movies and playing on the PlayStation. I thought about all the activities that we used to enjoy from our childhood – so Kathryn (our Kids Club leader) and I chose activities that families could do together such as spending time around a bonfire and making S’mores, kite flying and building boats to race in the Turtle Lagoon. Our aim was to make it less about technology and more about re-connection. I hope your children had the opportunity to enjoy our kids program!

Thank you for choosing Marriott and we hope to welcome you and your family back to Cayman again very soon.

All the best,
Ingrid Chaves, Director of Rooms Operations

This hotel was wonderful. Clean and a very friendly staff. Restaurants on site are wonderful. Their beach is one of the best on 7 mile beach. They have manmade reefs out on the beach that is perfect for snorkeling. We will be staying there again for sure!!!!

Room Tip: We didn't like staying on the first floor b/c the trees, etc (which are pretty) blocked our view so we changed to a higher floor

Dear Cheryl R, thank you for taking the time to provide a review of our hotel. We really appreciate your kind words about our great hotel, very friendly staff and wonderful restaurants!

I agree, I think Seven Mile Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches in the Caribbean with its calm warm waters and soft white powdery sand - it really can’t be beat! I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your beach house experience and were able to explore our Artificial Reef Project which is just a short swim from our beachfront. Many of our guests tell us that they really enjoy snorkelling around the man-made reef balls and often bring breadcrumbs to feed the colourful fish that surround the area.

You mentioned that you dined with us during your stay. Were you you able to enjoy one of our Specialty Nights? One of my favourites is the Unlimited Lobster evening at Solana on Wednesdays. From the Lobster Thermidor to Lobster Mac and Cheese, there is a huge variety to choose from and the dishes are always made fresh to order.

You may be interested to hear that we will be undergoing phase two of our renovations in September, which will affect our communal areas including the lobby, restaurants and fitness center. The upgrades are going to be spectacular and we look forward to unveiling our new look during your next trip to Cayman!

Thank you for choosing Marriott and we look forward to welcoming you back to our beautiful island again soon.

All the best,
Ingrid Chaves, Director of Rooms Operations

Grand Cayman Marriott Resort turned out to be a wonderful stay for my husband and I on our five day babymoon. The hotel was centrally located, the staff was courteous, the rooms were clean and the beach was ideal. There were plenty of seats on the beach with umbrellas. Hotel staff made continuous runs on the beach to take orders. The speed of service was nice. The location is situated directly on the beach, so quick and easy access. I would definitely stay at the Grand Cayman Marriott on a future visit. My only issue was the price of the food, it was the expensive side, but we had a workaround by visiting Coconut Joe's which was right across the street for cheap, but tasty breakfast and lunch. We ventured to Ortanique in Camana Bay for dinner and the food was outstanding.

Dear fashionchick604, we appreciate you taking the time to share feedback on your recent stay with us. We are delighted that you and your husband had a wonderful babymoon in Cayman! Thank you for your generous comments about our wonderful and courteous staff, clean rooms and ideal beach.

As you mentioned, our beach and pool ambassadors are at the ready to help you find the perfect place to unwind and enjoy your day by the sea. Once you are situated, they provide freshly pressed towels as well as help you set up your sun lounger and umbrella. They even go out of their way to re-position your umbrella so that you always have shade. Plus if you decide you want a bite to eat or drink, they will offer snacks and cocktails that you can savor from your beach chair. We know that finding the idyllic spot to relax and reconnect is a major part of the ultimate beach house experience. We hope that you felt pampered!

Thank you for choosing Marriott and we hope to welcome you and your family back to our beautiful island again in the near future.

stayed a few nights at the marriot. From initial check-in , the beach, room and amenities the experience was great for the value . This isn't a 5 star resort by any mean but its on a great beach, man made corals right in front of the resort there was also plenty of fish activity with or without snorkels. It also provides beach chairs, umbrellas, free bike rentals to let you go exploring . If your going to go snorkeling i recommend going to the giftshop and buying snorkeling gear as renting is $15 bucks vs $30 to buy. One downside was the downstairs bar charges you 15% service charge even for a can of soda to take back to the room which came out to $3.50. Recommend walking or taking a bike to the grocery store and buying some snacks and drinks .

There is also a great breakfast place near by cimboco which i highly recommend.

Dear Joe K, thank you for taking the time to provide a review of our hotel. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. We appreciate your generous comments about our great facility, location and service.

It sounds like you made the most out of your beach house experience by snorkelling at our Artificial Reef Project! Did you have the chance to go on the Kittiwake Shipwreck Tour, which is organized by Red Sail Sports (next to the towel hut and pool)? They offer boat rides to the Kittwake a few times a week – it is one of the most unforgettable experiences!

What I really like about it is that you don’t have to be an experienced diver to appreciate the wreck. It is one of the most accessible shipwrecks with the top of it within seven feet of the surface – it is like being in a swimming pool! Plus the wreck is slowly being transformed into an artificial reef and is teeming with colorful fish. It really is an experience that is not to be missed!

You mentioned you dined at Cimboco’s, which is a great place for breakfast but did you have the opportunity to check out Solana on our beach? The restaurant offers a number of delicious options including “all you can eat” almond pancakes. Caribbean-inspired eggs benedict and our signature lobster omelet. Plus you can’t beat our view of the sparkling turquoise blue ocean while you drink your morning coffee!

Thank you for choosing Marriott and we hope to welcome you back to our beautiful island again soon!
