No problem: Great AC in 1200 sq ft condo, upscale frig/oven and washer/dryer for all those wet clothes. 2 bedrooms, well separated, with 2 baths (1 with jetted tub). 3 TV's and decent cable w/movie channels. Old DVD's at front desk (maybe you could bring some to donate...). Huge sceened in porch so the walk out units feel like home as you walk into the neat garden and pool area. No ocean views, very similar views of the pool for everybody. 2 Big gas grills and large covered patio area. Out the door to the popular restaurants and bars on main street. Walking distance to shopping centers and mivie theatre. Monday free shuttle to 5 star grocery shopping. Lovely pool with long lap lanes, kid-safe isolated shallow pool, waterfalls galore, floats and noodles, outdoor shower, lots of pool side seating and towels. Plantation shutters for all windows and huge sliding door to the porch.

Rated only 3 stars because there is no lobby, there is unit #6 that has the check in, info, nice staff and welcoming attitude; Monday orientation meeting and rum punch free cokctails that evening.

No beach: just a short walkway to sit, overlooking the waves, and viewing daily sunsets with a pina colada or beer and camera. If you don't mind an adventure, you can walk along a concrete ledge, then get wet in the waist high waves, and finally reach the Marriott sandy beach/snorkel area in a couple of minutes. Actually pretty easy to do. Or stay dry and walk along the front sidewalk until you reach the access path to the sea, 8 minutes or so.

Best scuba wreck site EVER. Wonderful reefs, swim throughs, and coral formations like pillars. We dove with Ambassador Dive Shop (adjacent to the property) since the resort dive shop was closed while boats were repaired. We had 10 breathtaking dives and met very accomplished and careful fellow divers and divemasters.

Room Tip: Gound floor has a huge pool and grills in your own back yard (very quiet neighbors, so it feels priv...

Three story walk-up. Choise of rooms, younger people opted for the third floor and older people, the first floor. The resort is very clean and the employees very friendly. The rooms are a plesant surprise. Great kitchens, a TV in each room, tons of storage space and a balcony that is screened in where we didn't get any hot sun all day and no bugs, helped with a fan overhead. Very comfortable chairs inside and out. A table set for four also on the balcony. The first floor patios have a screen door leading out to the pool. All rooms have a landscaped pool view with a multiple water feature sound. Better than the backside of many other resorts.
The resort has another resort between it and the water. The beach there comes and goes depending on the time of year. Guests were snorkeling right off the end of the access road about 250 feet from the resort. There is beach access near by and the resort has chairs and umbrellas free for your use. Any earlier storm dammage to the resort has been well repaired. They have no restaurant but there are two good ones 100 feet away with happy hours. There are many restaurants within a short walk, from American fast food to very expensive restaurants including the Marriott 200' away with a beach bar. Also Sat/Sun brunches near by. Grand Cayman is expensive! $1.20 US = $1.00 CI. Alcohol is very expensive. Bring duty free with you. There are two liquor stores within a short walk. One with a fine wine selection.
On Saturdays and Mondays the resort has a free microbus to the grocery store.
Georgetown is about 2.5 miles away. The microbusses are frequent, $2.50 US each, exact change. There is a car rental across the street from the resort. There isn't a lot of night life near by. We brought CD's, DVD's and books. We went to the Monday night dinner and met many other guests. BYOB, the rum punch is boring. The food was average.
We had a great R & R time and would go back again. r

The resort is small, you cannot see the beach that is nearby, there is a walkway to get to the entrance to where the beach use to be. Since the storms they havent fixed the beach or walkout to the beach nearby. It is a treachorous walk to the nearby beach where you are unable to use the chairs as you are not staying at that resort. If you can stand laying on the sand there is some wonderful snorkeling right off the beach when the waters clear. We did see sea turtles, barracuda, tarpon, grouper, and many many smaller fish.
The washer/dryer in unit wash not working and hadn't ever, it was just a shell unit. Other units had the same problem were were told by other guests. The laundry facilities on the property only had one washer and no dryers working so wash and hang to dry. The pool was nice but need to be cleaned much better.
We also have never had to clean our unit to avoid a cleaning charge. This is a timeshare resort so cleaning should be included but its not.
We love the caymans and will definately be back but NOT to this resort.

Do not fooled here there is no beach it has been flooded by erosion and hurricane damage, the resort also suffered damage and not all amenities are available. The closet public beach is about a 1/2 mile walk up the road. The resort is right on west bay road so it is better to be towards the back of the propery there is no really good views of anything we had a great view of the pool equipment. The resort is a little run down but served our purpose and was convienent to have a kitchen an washer and dryer and near resturants.

This resort is ideally located within walking to great restaurants, shops and "town". The units are spacious, clean and well maintained and everyone faces the pool. The beach is a short walk behind the complex. Walks at sunset are fabulous ( this beach faces West) and famous but anytime there is perfect. I stayed at this complex many times before I bought my own timeshares here. The staff is wonderful and it's a great place to come with friends and family. Having a full kitchen, two bathrooms, a great fanned (and screened) porch is terrific. Dining out can be expensive on Grand Cayman so having your own apartment is a great way to splurge when you want to. Highly recommended!

7 Mile Beach Resort is on the Grand Cayman main drag and near the beach (short-walk). Decent and clean - housekeeping did a good job. We swapped a timeshare unit on Interval and it was a good location for our week away with one couple (friends). Not the most luxurious unit that we've ever swapped, but also not the worst by far. Decent pool and views of that (and the fireworks in the harbor) from our screened balcony - both nice surprises. We had a spacious 2-BR unit on the 2nd floor. A pretty good overall Grand Cayman beach vacation. My only downside was that the units and the resort could use some refurbishment, but the place was not shabby. We liked the trip, the island and the unit. It had a short walk to the beach, which we enjoyed and toured the island by rental car (British Island - so driving on the left side is a bit of a challenge). Office staff was pleasant and helpful. The island has enough to do over the course of a week, but not really any longer than that.

Room Tip: Take floor two or three if you have a choice.
