Very clean, nice rooms with rather expensive furnishings. Coffee was extremely good. The grab and go breakfast-free-was plentiful with lots of variety. Everyone was very helpful. i went for the diving and the dive lockers and rinse tanks were wonderful. Food was very good and enough for two people. I was not interested in the beach so saved a lot of money by staying on the other side of the road but could have walked over if I had wanted to. The dive shop they are affiliated with was one of the best dive shops I have ever used. The crew was mostly female and very good at what they do. Didn't have to carry anything. Just sit on the back of the boat and it was all brought to me. Hoping to go back next year.

Stayed at sunshine suites for 10 nights. Good service very friendly and helpful staff. Great food at sunshine grill (portions are quite large but you can take your leftover to your room). Supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Only drawback is they are not by the seaside. Although beach access is just across the road, but you have to bring your own chair and umbrella (which the hotel provides).

Katie and her team will make sure your every need is met, and with a smile. Everyone we encountered in the hotel went above and beyond to ensure that our visit was perfect. Whether it was lugging a ridiculous quantity of luggage up and down three flights of stairs, finding us the best rate on rental cars and arranging for us to be picked up, searching out obscure local services, getting us extra hangers and blankets, or rearranging the furniture, we could not have been better looked after.
The rooms are exceptionally clean and bright, and the walk to the beach is not far.

We were in Room 122, near office, pool and restaurant. Exceptionally clean, quiet, pleasant. We enjoyed a relaxing, refreshing stay. While not directly on the beach, it's only a brief walk away, a benefit to us, close shopping, a few steps from bus to get you anywhere you need to go.

The kitchenette is well stocked with dinnerware, flatware, glassware and pots, microwave, nice refrigerator and 2 burner stove; as well as dish soap, towels & rack for cleaning up behind yourself.

We cannot say enough about the staff, office, restaurant & maintenance...all friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will certainly be staying here again.

Room Tip: We loved our room, number 122. It's close to everything. Ceiling fans were a real treat since...

We stayed here for a short break from 5 - 9 September.
Reception staff were very friendly at check-in, and helpful throughout the short stay with useful advice and recommendations. We asked for a higher floor room and received one. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The rooms are equipped with basic kitchen utensils for cooking etc.
As many reviews point out the resort is across the road from public beach access. We had a car however, and drove perhaps two minutes to a larger public beach just north of the resort. This beach was excellent with shade trees, and gentle fine sand. Beach chairs are provided by Sunshine Suites and beach towels of course. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with the hotels own pool if you don’t like sand between your toes.
The Sunshine Grille is to be recommended. It has a fixed dinner menu. The food is nicely prepared. Servings are large:- you will not go hungry here. Breakfast was also well taken care of with the usual breakfast offerings of eggs, bacon, sausage etc., or pancakes. If you prefer the complimentary breakfast that was also very good offering cereals, fruit, croissants and buns, plus tea and coffee. The Food and Beverage manager - Darren - was extremely helpful to us with his knowledge of the island. (I hope Nancy keeps up with the chicken technique !!! )
Bar staff in the Sunshine Grille were also lovely people to chat to, as were the Servers. Thanks to Dana, Gabriella, Annie and Karen.
Maid service was also attentive.
We did go out for dinner to Eduardos and were quite disappointed with their version of Zuppa di Pesce which was essentially a chopped tomato spaghetti sauce with very little pesce in it. Very disappointing. There are over 200 restaurants to choose from in Grand Cayman…
Even though you can walk to restaurants, and the beach, I would rent a car again when we go again. The rental rates are very reasonable and provided that driving on the left does not intimidate you, and you know how to navigate a roundabout, then you are good to go anywhere. Highly recommended. If you don’t grab a car at the airport, the Sunshine Suites can arrange one with Budget.
This hotel is to be highly recommended as excellent value for money. As they themselves say, you can stay next door at the Ritz Carlton and pay their prices, if you want to. If you prefer the trappings of the larger resorts then this hotel is not for you. However, if a smaller more intimate hotel is in line with your likes then this is a gem not to be missed. Personally, we will be back here again.
6 stars.

Room Tip: Pool side rooms may be quieter.

This is my 3rd stay with Sunshine Suites. It is so convienient to everything. The Sunshine Grill is fabulous! You really don't even need a car because the buses run up and down 7 mile beach area. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is wifi. Also, there are computers available in the office. Lots of cable TV stations. Nice pool in front of the grill. You are just 10 minutes from George Town and the busses run up to turtle farm and Dolphin Adventure. I have got to say that it was always nice coming back to a clean room after scuba diving. The housekeepers are really good. If you don't think this is a really good value and place to stay, then go ahead and spend 4 times as much and stay at the Ritz. You will still want to eat at the Sunshine Grill. :)

PS: stop by the office and say hi to Paco, The Cayman Cat.
