“Fabulous family vacation!”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

Blessed to have been able to stay at such a wonderful place. Our suite in the towers had a beautiful view (704) and was spacious, elegant and clean. Cayman is expensive but you can really save money by bringing your own wine/liquor, food and snacks, snorkels and fins and lightweight floats if you have the room in your bags! They have washer and dryers so bring less clothes and these things instead to save money! We ordered pizza for the kids from Gino's, across the street, twice so my husband and I could go downstairs to Lucas for dinner! Renata, the bartender, at Lucas is so fun and talented! Had dinner at Eduardo's, Italian, across the street as well and it was delicious! Crystal and Andy, front desk, were very helpful and accommodating- we're able to advise us when cruise ships were in so we could pick our excursions around busy times. Foster foods, across the street for all your groceries-convenient and clean. We chartered a private tour to Sting City with Ezona (Andy coordinated for us) and was well worth the money. Took us to other, less crowded areas and spoiled us rotten! We look forward to going back!

We loved the Caribbean Club! It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! We were always alone in the pool and always tons of beach chairs but it maybe just the week we were there.

We stayed in villa 5 on the third floor and it was over 2800 SF with a huge wrap around balcony. It was enormous! There were 3 bedrooms (king, queen and 2 twins). The master was gorgeous!!! We only paid for 2 bedrooms as we did not use the third. Each had their own bathroom. The living area was beautiful and the kitchen was fully equipped and had super nice appliances. We lacked for nothing. The Manager, Danielle, is the best and made sure we were taken care of. Her staff was incredibly friendly to include Kristal and Elena at the front desk. Shorty helped us with transportation and could not have been any more accommodating and friendly. We felt like we were family by the end of the week.

As I said before, The beach was never crowded and CC had noodles and floats you could use. Red Sail rents snorkel equipment, paddle boards, and arranges dives only a couple of resorts down the beach from CC. Foster's supermarket is across the street. It had anything you might want plus you can take the carts to your resort and when you are done with it you can leave it on the sidewalk and someone will come pick it up. There are also 2 liquor stores in the same shopping center. Very, very convenient. There is also a great little Pizza place directly across the street called Gino's and they deliver.

We had Sunday brunch at Luca's which is the restaurant at the resort. We did not really have a great meal there when we ate dinner one night but the brunch was fabulous and it had just about anything you could imagine! Apparently you have to make reservations weeks in advance as it is a favorite with the locals. We got lucky and were able to get in. They keep the champagne flowing the whole time you are there. We have a friend who lives on the island and he loves their brunch and also says that the CC Club is his favorite place for a staycation.

Anyhow I would highly recommend the CC Club! Oh, Kristal did show us a couple tower villas and they were huge too. I would have been just as happy in the tower I think other then the balcony would not have been as large and not all of the views were superb. Oh, and all the villas (tower and beach) are individually owned so the decor is different in each one. We liked 1 of the tower villas and not so much the decor in the second but it is luck of the draw. Not that they were not nice as they were but the one had dark Jewel colors and heavy furniture vs. the other was lighter and more beachy. So luck of the draw.

Room Tip: The beach front villas are magnificent and if you wish to walk out on the beach get a first floor vi...

To arrive to +28C in early January, after the experience of the polar vortex in New York (-20C), was a joy.
Note we picked Grand Cayman as we were on our way to Cuba and wanted to fly by US maintained aircraft rather than old Russian aeroplanes that operate from Mexico to Havana (to be well avoided!).
At the Club we had an ocean front apartment on the 7th floor - large balcony for sunbathing and sundowners, a lounge plus diner large enough to hold dancing championships in - really that big. Excellent bedrooms (3) all with good en-suites.The private beach front is good and the surf great to swim in. There is a decent pool that for the most part is occupied by small children during prime time, however, you can still catch times to swim unencumbered. The beach service for drinks is pretty non existent and is served from the Luca restaurant - decent Italian - which shares the ground floor with the Club’s reception area.
The club is definitely more a luxury condo resort than a hotel; however tucked away immediately opposite the club, just a stone throw away there is a terrific mall, with good supermarket, very decent coffee shop (Paperman’s), liquor stores and great restaurant choices; Copper Falls for excellent steak, plus good Chinese, Indian, Italian places - you’ll be well rewarded by giving any or all of these restaurants a try and such a welcome break from staying in one spot.

Room Tip: I can't imagine a bad Ocean front room - we were on 7th floor - so go higher to avoid any annoya...

Wow! I absolutely loved Caribbean Club and Grand Cayman itself. The property is beautiful and the views are spectacular. We spent each morning sitting on the balcony of our beachfront villa in our robes and slippers(provided) sipping our morning coffee and evenings enjoying the sunset view. The suite was so spacious and finishings very high end. The kitchen had every thing you could ask for...better equipped than my kitchen at home! The beds were unbelievably comfortable, the best I have ever slept in, and linens of very high quality.
The beach was one of the nicest I have ever seen and I took long walks every day. When I returned back to Caribbean Club it confirmed what a great place it is. So uncrowded compared to the Ritz, Westin, etc. It was a little slice of heaven!!!
Don't hesitate to go there if you can! It will spoil you for anywhere else!

Room Tip: If your budget allows, the beachfront villas are the best. We had room 5 which was top floor, closest...

My wife and I have been to the Caribbean Club 3 times now. First to scout out locations for our wedding weekend. Then for the wedding/reception itself and most recently last week for our first anniversary. Needless to say, we love the Caribbean Club!

Danielle and her team are some of the best folks currently working in the hospitality business. They're prompt, pleasant and all around great to work with.

Oh, and the property itself is fantastic! The rooms are all spacious, modern and well appointed. Every room has a great view of the Caribbean. And the restaurant there, Luca, continues to be incredible - both the food and the service.

Very much looking forward to our next trip there. Highly recommended.

We has a marvelous 8 day trip during Spring Break and stayed at the Caribbean Club. It was perfect as always. Danielle and the staff made sure everyone was happy and did anything to help. The dinner reservations were wonderful as well as the boating recommendations. The rooms were great and view was stunning. It was also a perfect crowd and when we walked to the Ritz we were so happy we were not with the crowds of people. We will be returning and stay here again!

Perfect for "Families" whether immediate or extended...we can understand why you'd love this place and rank it #1 in Grand Cayman. During our 8 night stay all we saw was families with TONS of little kids, with 5-8 people to a party/suite. You'd definitely save TONS of money staying here vs a hotel of comparable standards/the Ritz Carlton a few doors down... But we are just a couple...so here is our review from "our" point of view.

We arranged everything 3 months in advance via email with Elena and she was always prompt with getting back to us and answering questions. She offered us a "meet and greet" which was $150 and totally worth it. As soon as we got off the plane an airport worker greeted us and whisked us thru immigration and customs and to our driver outside (10 mins max from deplaning to car). Our driver ($200 R/T) had us to the CC within 15 mins and we were checked in and in our suite in 10 mins. (Thanks Elena).

We were given suite 504 in the tower section which has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, corner suite with tons of windows, huge balcony w/ 2 seating areas and approx. 2700SF. The décor is island chic and stocked kitchen for those who like to cook. The master bed is comfy. Tons of english channels on the living room TV, great for watching the NHL playoffs and MLB games after coming back from dinner each night.

So onto the "cons" for us: The pool and beach service was terrible, I mean the worst I've experienced at this level hotel. We maybe saw the 1 pool/beach server 1-2x a day, she/he covered the pool and entire beach area plus was a busboy inside at Luca, so I understand why it was so slow. Why can't Caribbean Club hire 2 full time servers to serve their guests? We saved a substantial amount of money we usually spend by the pool/beach during a vacation on drinks. We hated having to dry off, go up to the room, make drinks and carry them down to the beach (15-20 min process each time) but it was still faster than their beach service. This person could also help with towels and chair set-up in the mornings...instead of having to do that also ourselves. This may sound petty but come-on...I am not paying to be on vacation to serve myself.

The lobby is small with seating maybe for 2-3 people, its nice to have a large lobby with separate seating areas where you can have a before/after dinner drink, listen to live local music and relax and talk. Also a concierge to help with dinner reservations, planned activities, etc.. we encountered 6 CC workers over our 8 nights at/near the desk and all but Elena had their head in a book, texting, on cell, talking to other workers, whatever but never talked to us or ever mentioned us by last name. They weren't rude, just indifferent...

Caribbean Club advertises itself as a "Boutique Hotel" but we thinks its more of a "Glorified Condo". There really is no service anywhere. We think people confuse "friendly" with good service. The gym is adequate with no bottled water. No SPA. Only 1 restaurant. Turn down service consists of the bed turned down with 3 small snickers bars on the bed table (no exchange of towels, or light freshen up).

Will we be back...sure if we bring our families...otherwise we'll see you at the Ritz.

P.S. Fosters Food Store is diagonal from the hotel. They are full service deli, bakery, fish, meats, all grocery types...We did not cook at all but purchased snacks and went to Blackbeards (same plaza) a liquor store that has everything from cheap to fine wines and all your liquors and cases of beer.

Restaurants: Edoardo's is 5 min walk and fabulous, Luca onsite is amazing, and of course any of the restaurants at the Ritz is fabulous.

Room Tip: The 5th floor tower suites are very quiet and great views
