We had our wedding reception at Luca in the Caribbean Club and had outstanding service from both the restaurant and the staff at Caribbean Club. All of our guests kept telling us what a wonderful place it was and how it was one of the best weddings they've been too. They raved about the food and ambience and you can't beat the beautiful location on gorgeous Seven Mile Beach. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

My husband and I and a good friend of our just got back from our amazing vacation!! Caribbean Club is heads and shoulders the best place I have ever stayed and I have stayed in many four and five star resorts and hotels. The location is excellent - right on the beach and within walking distance to a grocery store and many excellent restaurants and hotels. The accommodations are exquisite. You get a gorgeous 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, professionally decorated 2500+ sq. ft condo complete with a fully-appointed gourmet kitchen. You also get a full laundry room and very large HDTVs in each of the three bedrooms and in the spacious living room. There is seating for 20 or more in the common area of the condo plus seating for 10+ on the large balcony. Best of all, you get an incredible view of the ocean from the common area and the master bedroom. As icing on the cake, the manager Danielle could not be nicer or more helpful. We will be back and we will stay at CC!!

Tips - Because the gourmet kitchen is so well appointed, I recommend a trip to the grocery store (only about a block and a half away) to get breakfast foods, coffee, drinks, and snacks. We made breakfast every morning and enjoyed it on the balcony over-looking the ocean! Heavenly! We also enjoyed snacks and drinks out there daily.

Red Sail is nearby at the Beach Suites Hotel - about a 3-4 block walk down the beach - and they rent all sorts of snorkel and other water equipment, but I recommend renting only a mask and fins and buying your own snorkel with the cover over the top air hole because the rented ones are wide open and invite you to choke on ocean water when someone splashes nearby or a wave gets you. Additionally, I recommend buying some anti-fog for your snorkel mask.

Take the bus for locations along the main road. It's only $2 (CI) per person, it has A/C, it's the same sort of vehicle as a cab (like a minivan), and it's almost as fast.

Go to Copper Falls Steakhouse, which is only about 2 blocks away and just across from the grocery store. Excellent dining experience with superb food! Beng from Texas, I am ultra picky about my steaks and this place rivals my favorite steak restaurants in Texas!

If you opt to have a CC car pick you up from the airport, remind them the day before your arrival. We notified CC a few weeks in advance and the driver apparently forgot, so we had to take a cab. But CC picked up the tab for the cab ride, so no harm.

There is excellent snorkeling all up and down Seven Mile Beach, including right in front of CC. But I still recommend doing a snorkel trip with one of the local companies. We went with Captain Marvins to the Coral Garden, Barrier Reef, Stingray Sandbar and had a wonderful time!

If you go in the low season, be prepared to see very few people around! You should also call ahead to restaurants to make sure they are open. We tried to go eat at Deckers and Calypso Grill and both were closed. There were also a lot of nightclubs and shops that were closed as well.

We stayed at the Carribean Club in mid August for 10 days. For context, we’re a married couple in our thirties who live in Washington DC and were looking for relaxation, a great beach and luxury at affordable prices. We have always done a hotel instead of a condo but for us the price was somewhat close to the Ritz Carlton and we decided on the Carribean Club as it looked to have more charm, space in the rooms and a better beach - all of which was true.

Overall, the Carribean Club is truly a well run and well taken care of five star condo. It is not a five star hotel but from our perspective it was by and far the best option on Grand Cayman. The following review is pretty detailed and information that I wanted prior to booking – hopefully its helpful.

The facility and condos are very well taken care of and really nice. The condos are about 2,500 square feet and have three bedroom, three baths, a giant kitchen, living room and outdoor patio. The master bedroom is by far the best bedroom in the condo. The master bedroom has a huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub, two sinks, giant closets and a big bedroom with a sliding door to the patio and a view of the ocean. The other bedrooms are fine, but in our unit they faced the walkway/road and while great for kids – it would be quite a discussion with another couple if you had to decide who was going to stay in the much better bedroom. The covered patio was also really large, with a dinner table, two comfy chairs and two comfy loungers. Each condo is decorated differently but overall they all appeared to have nice/comfortable furniture, big screen tvs and well equipped kitchens.

The beach is great and an excellent location. Not too crowded, several covered areas and no rocks. If you hang in the water long enough (2-3 feet), fish will even come up and swim through your legs.

Only two areas of weaknesses at the Carribean Club.
One, this is not a hotel - its a group of condos. The group that works there is great but its not at the same level of service that one would get from a hotel as there are set hours when you can get assistance. In addition, room service is from a good Italian restaurant below, Luca. This means you get food when they are open. For example, one Saturday afternoon we tried ordering food at about 1 pm for lunch and when we called down they were not open for lunch so no room service. Also, Luca is a nice restaurant, so the idea of walking in in your bathing suit and ordering beach drinks during the day from Luca is not really an option we felt comfortable with. Of course since they are condos we just picked up food/drinks at the supermarket a block away, kept it all in the fridge and brought it down to the beach which worked fine.

Two, a few groups of guests treated the Caribean Club like home. Unfortunately, at their home they get up at 7 am every morning, yell to each other from sun up to sun down and leave their belongings everywhere. There were only a few groups like this (adults and children) but they ‘took the place over’ and several of the other guests there were affected. It did not help that windows of the condos are not sound proof so if there are loud guests you will hear them on their patio and when they are in the pool.

We did visit several of the other hotels/condos and the Grand Caribean Club is truly the best on the island.

The location was good with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Great places to eat include:
Blue in the Ritz Carlton was fabulous. It is very pricey at about $200 a person with wine but the fish was some of the best we’ve ever had.

Sunshine Grill at the Sunset Suites – Across the street from the Ritz Calrton and walk past the Sunset Suites. The Sunshine Grill was chosen best fish tacos on the island for great reason and is relatively inexpensive (for the island).

For sushi, Yoshi is fabulous and in the strip mall beyond Sunset Suites. Don’t be fooled, once you are in the restaurant you do not know your in a strip mall and it was amazing sushi. We did go to Bamboo as well and Yoshi was much better.

The Wharf restaurant is a taxi ride away and the food was good. The reason to visit though is for the tarpon feeding every night at 9 pm. Tarpon are giant fish and its quite a show to see them splashing and kids get to feed them which is a blast.

Finally, if it’s the right time of month you should sign-up for the bio tour with Cayman Kayaks (http://www.caymankayaks.com/). The tour consists of kayaking through a ‘hidden’ bay at night and the water contains bioluminescence. This means that as you kayak the water glows - it is amazing and quite a site to see.

If you have questions please feel free to send me a tripadvisor email.

I have recently stayed at some great beach resorts including the One & Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, the Four Seasons in Costa Rica and The Palau Pacific Resort. I would put the Caribbean Club’s beach front villas among the top places. In first place, you cannot get a better beach than where the Caribbean Club is located. Grand Cayman's 7-mile beach is world renowned and the Caribbean Club is on the absolute best part of that beach. On top of that, the Caribbean Club's ocean front villas give you probably the best views and access to the water when compared to any other place on the Island. The Ritz Carlton in Cayman gets a lot of notoriety, but I find their beach gets way too crowed and you sit shoulder to shoulder. The Ritz’s beach has a much more “large chain hotel" feel. By contrast, The Caribbean Club is on a quieter part of the beach, their beach front villas are as elegant and luxurious as it gets, and the restaurant and service is personalized and top notch.

I think Caribbean Club is the best place to stay on the Island and I cannot wait to go back.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Caribbean Club in July, and our family/friends stayed at the CC for about 4 days and nights for the festivities. We have been coming to the Caymans for years and this is the nicest play to stay on Grand Cayman. The condos are beautiful and spacious, the pool is great and the beach isn't crowded (like it is at the huge hotels). I can't say enough nice things about the CC. Some of our wedding guests initially thought the price was a little high, but the condos are huge, 3 br/bath and easily accommodate 3 couples, so the price is divided by three - and after arriving, all of our guests loved the place (and some of our friends who opted for the hotels definitely regretted the decision - it's a little cheaper, but not nearly as nice). Icing on the cake is that Luca is a great Italian restaurant. If you're planning a trip to the Caymans and you have more than two people, this is a great place!
