Unbelievable sweeping ocean views and great snorkling. We loved it! We stayed in the penthouse suite, which gave our family of 5 plenty of space. Our kids, ages 10-15, snorkled every day on the beach behind the condos and saw sea turtles, porcupine fish, and more. We can't wait to come back!

Great property with clean very well kept grounds. We stayed in a ground floor unit # 6 for the convenience but did see a second and top floor unit and still loved the one we stayed in the best.
It had everything from very high quality plastic glasses, wine, martini etc to an IPod dock. Hand held shower and a hair straightner! Better beds than I have at home. We all found it perfect. Can seat six for dinner at the table and another two at the kitchen bar. As other have said it can be steep or a bit of a step getting into or out of the water, but this changes weekly with the wind and the waves. Found the beach great lots of sand and room. There are some rocks in the water when you get out to hip height, and more as you get deeper but this is what attracts the fantastic fish you can see snorkelling.
We did rent a car from Andy's, cost $225.00 US for one week, taking the economy model which was plenty big for four women and groceries. Cooked breakfast and some lunches at the condo and tried lots of restaurants for dinner. Loved the Grand Cayman!

Room Tip: Convenient walk-out from ground floor

we traveled this location durning easter week . i am a little late with this review . that being stated let me get to it.
i booked the air with cayman airlines . a great price the total for 5 people was $1850. this was from jfk. i should note that i got other prices $3200 and 3800 . the plane ride no problems easy check in at jfk . the time apx 3:45. i also book a car before we travel at a cost of $350 for a week.
the christopher columbus is a condo and not a big alinc resort , and that's what we wanted. i called hotel mang lisa via the phone . i stated that we are travleing as a family three, and two kids 15 years of age. we went over the rooms and she e-mailed me pictures. we booked the three bedroom penthouse on the # 3rd floor. the condo had two king size beds and one room had two twin beds. that was just right for us. like i said the room was the the 3 rd floor so if you have a problem walking it is a problem . the condo was outsanding overlooking the beach , chairs and a table outside , a nice size living room , three tv's , a dining table , and a full size kitchen . we did not cook any dinners here , but we did shop for some breakfast and lunch items . a note regarding water, the condo does sell five gallons of water for $ 5 dollars and their is a cooler in the kitchen. over all the condo was great . i am sure there are better place to stay , but for the price $ 2300 . i don't think i could have done any better.
the beach.the last time i traveled to the cayman was in 1993 and before that was 1991 , also no kids. well things have changed a lot . no more holiday inn now the ritz. but the beach is still outstanding. the beach in front the cc was a little more rocky than i expected. but to the left of the codo there is clear area . so all in all no problems on the beach . no problem with chairs and huts also. i think some days we were the only people on the beach { remember easter week] . i walked down the beach to the tiki beach/bar . this is where the ships send their people. the bar was fine , but the beach was all rocks , and i don't think i could see sand on the beach. that's how many people were their. i stopped to speak to one family . i told them walk down about a half mile . now that's a cayman beach . i felt bad for all these people . so overall the beach is still great and the sand still white , and water is great. so after 17 years or so the beach did not let me down.
the maid: cleaned all days except sunday and good friday. but the place was spotless.
the pool. smalll but nice size. i did not go in one time. why ? . we are beach people . but is was clean and their were a few using it.
the grounds . spotless , cleaned all day long. it has nothing to do with the cc. while walking on the beach , you see a few cans, papers , and other things . i am just amazed that people leave things like that. so the ground and beach are spotless at the cc ..
renting a car; if you stay around the cc you do need to rent a car. it's a little far from rests and shopping .
shopping: their is a large market about one mile to the left of the cc. and more shopping apx two miles to the right towards the ritz. go can get anything there you need . but get ready for the prices. $8 dollars for a box of strawberries. but they had what you need.
run point: we traveled to the point on saturday . like i said it's been years . it's not the same place . a long drive , two many people. . we stayed for a an hour and them returned the cc. to be frank it was a waste of time.
over all: i would return the cc . the price is right . the rooms are great and like i said the beach is outstanding. also i think lisa makes this place even better . also i don't remember the guys name but the head of maintance.we talked a few times a nice guy and i hope his daug does great in med school. that's what makes this place great. these two people and others . all in all a great vacation. i will review the rests that we traved to a little later. i sure a forgot a few things , but any questions e mail me .
ps. i stated that we traeveled in 1993. we stayed at the holiday inn. also with us was my best friend tom and his gf . { they are married now] . we were delayed flying out of jfk apx 5 hours and we started drinking . now we get on the plane and they give us more free drinks. now we get the the holiday inn. people might remember that the outdoor bar was a great place. but the night we got there it was closed . they were filming the frim with tom cruise. so now the two woman want to meet tom . he gets all mad says he is leaving on the next plane home. so i tell him what did you think will happen with these two women from brooklyn . we have a better chance with him then they do . so the first night on vacation me ,my wife and his gf went to dinner , he sat in the room , and nobody met the actor . that was also 20 years ago and i remember it like yesterday [ sorry if i made speliing mistakes ] thanks jack....

Very clean, updated units. Manager is very friendly and helpful. Quiet beach on northern end of seven mike beach, away from larger resorts, however only a 5 minute drive to shops/restaurants.

The unit we stayed in (#18) was very clean and had a great layout. The view off of the balcony was wonderful. Lisa in the front office (and all of the staff) were friendly, kind and helpful. The location of the community was perfect for what we wanted, which was to be away from Georgetown.
We really liked the tiki huts, the hammock and the pool.
I would definitely recommend staying here.

This is our second time at CC albeit a decade between visits and it is as good or better than we remembered.
We(wife and son and his SO) came back after all these years because of the short hop from home-a 3 hour direct flight from Wash DC-and just about a guarantee of clear water and sunshine.
The CC is just about perfect. We rented the 3 bedroom penthouse although we only needed 2 just to get the really nice view off the balcony.
Spacious with all the amenities, spotlessly clean and maid service daily except Sun. constant supply of beach towels, nice pool if that is what you are in to. Beach nice although rocky and you need to basically just swim out to snorkel or swim.
A/C works flawlessly. New appliances in kitchen-mandatory blender for colada's and margaritas present.
Just like home but with a view and warm ocean!!!

Stayed at CCC for 5 nights during Presidents week. We were a little apprehensive about renting a condo over a hotel but after reading reviews and seeing the prices decided to go with the condo. It was a great choicr. CCC is right on the beach and the units are immaculate. Every part of the condo was spotless. The beds were excellent and the pillows were plentiful . The pool was between our back door and the beach. The staff were great and helpful. I can honestly say this was a great place to stay and wwould dfinately recommend and return to CCC in the future. While in GC we went on Moby Dick Tours to Stingray City , they were great and I would recommend. had meals at The Cracked Conch, Deckers, Sunshine Grill,Tiki Beach and Wendys . Would recommend all of them. Grand Cayman was a great choice for vacation and will definately be back. The Cayman dollar is $1.20 US so be prepared for the prices.
