First let me say that the grounds & pool at this condo association are kept immaculate. We stayed in unit #311 at the condo in January 2012. We had decided to see if we could find a last minute get away and booked our spot 2 weeks prior so we were lucky and appreciative to get a reduced rate. After un-packing we grabbed the cell phone, which the owner told us we could use and where to load minutes, and headed to the grocery store to pick up what we would need for the week & add minutes to the phone. Unfortunately, we were not able to add any minutes to the phone as it was missing the sim card. After returning to the condo, we emailed the owner letting him know about the phone & asked if he knew where the sim card was located. That night we tried to cook a baked potato in the microwave. The microwave worked for about 3 minutes then quit. It was like it had no power. We checked the circuit breakers, which were fine. We finished the potato in a frying pan and had a nice dinner out on the balcony.
We emailed the owner to let him know about the microwave. The next morning (Wed) the microwave had power again. We did not send a note to the owner, thinking we would just let him know when he got back to...First let me say that the grounds & pool at this condo association are kept immaculate. We emailed the owner to let him know about the microwave. The next morning (Wed) the microwave had power again. We did not send a note to the owner, thinking we would just let him know when he got back to us. We went SCUBA diving in the AM then back to the condo for lunch, & hit the pool in the afternoon. That night we again tried a potato in the microwave & the same thing happened. Complete shut down. The microwave looked to be in good shape with the exception of the missing glass turntable. We assumed it had broken and was never replaced. After letting it sit for a couple of hours, it did revive itself once again. On Thursday morning we again emailed the owner to ask if he had received our 2 previous emails and to let him know exactly what the microwave was doing. Thursday before lunch he finally responded telling us he would try to find the sim card & fix the microwave. That was the last communication received. Either on Saturday or Sunday we did send him one more email requesting an update. We received no response. His lack of communication was really quite irresponsible. At our reduced rate the condo was appropriately priced. However, at the full asking price this would not have been a good value.General good housekeeping is not provided. The floors are filthy. If you are barefoot, you need to wash your feet before getting into bed as they would be absolutely black. On top of the refrigerator there was sand and what looked...More
