10 days at the Renaissance was just what this family needed. The condo's are very clean, phone service to the states is included and very handy, beach is un-crowded and very clean. Pool is nice. Only down side is they don't have a crew to clean up behind all the other guests who leave all their stuff down on the beach. A wonderful location, and wonderful front office people.

Room Tip: Not a hotel....so no amenities from that standpoint.

Our family spent another wonderful week over Thanksgiving with Kim and Wendi and it just gets better and better. The Renaissance is a beautiful property with the added bonus of being at the quiet end of 7 Mile Beach. So good.

Trust us you will be happy at The Renaissance...!!

This was our 4 trip to The Renaissance... And we are already booked to go back in March and again next Christmas! The accommodations are wonderful. Not only are there flat screen TV's in each bedroom, the linens are wonderful. Great workout room. And then the beach and pool leave nothing to be desired. The lounges around the pool are very comfortable. The office is always ready to help. We had trouble with a can opener. I just happened to mention it in passing and Wendy promptly just handed me a new can opener. The underground parking means your car is always cool. And now, not only is there a luggage trolley, there are grocery carts. So when you unload your car you can get everything up on the elevator in one load. Screened in porch with fans, waves gently rolling in, children playing (but not too loud or too crazy) make for a perfect family Christmas vacation as well as the adult vacation we are planning for later this year.

Room Tip: All rooms are on the ocean. Pick how many bedrooms you need.

We just returned from the Renaissance and as always it was wonderful. The property is always spotless and fully equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. The view is beautiful from all of the units.
We love the staff - they are part of the reason we keep coming back. I am a rental manager in Destin, FL - so I am very picky. We have to go some where that is as beautiful as where we live and have units that are extremely clean and well maintained- The Renaissance fits the bill.
I would not stay any where else on the Island but here.

A thoroughly enjoyable family holiday in paradise-we would have loved to have stayed more than two weeks but the bubble had to burst! We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the beach, the sea and the swimming pool and in particular how quiet the beach was. There were several mornings and afternoons when we had our pick of the sun loungers or were the only ones on the beach or splashing around in the pristine sea. We swam with turtles, sting rays and more - right in front of our villa. Our young children loved snorkelling over the circular coral/stone structure in the shallow water near to the villas and having BBQs in the early evening on the beach was yet another highlight. We could not fault our apartment and in fact wanted to stay in a relatively newly built property which really proved to be a great choice (the feeling of newness etc.).Someone had thought of everything to make for an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. In particular our kitchen was fitted out with utensils we even miss in our own kitchen (and we are a family who love to cook). Management were always friendly, efficient and professional when dealing with some very minor issues we had with our security safe and the dishwasher. We thought that mosquitos would pose a problem but in 14 days we only spotted a few around 6 to 7pm and then only near to the BBQs (never up on the 6th floor). We decided not to hire a car and found that we were never waiting more than a few minutes for a bus to the local supermarket or to a restaurant or a local attraction. We used the gym four times and were always alone. I could go on!

Room Tip: We stayed in villa number 30 which was on the 6th floor which must have some of the best views of th...

Just returned from our first visit to Grand Cayman. Our family of five -- parents and three teenage girls --stayed in Villa 29 at The Renaissance, a 3 bed/3 bath corner unit on the sixth floor. It was absolutely fantastic! The condo was in new condition and was certainly the best stocked condo we've ever rented (with the exception of the need for a larger frying pan). The view from the living areas, kitchen and master bedroom were beautiful. Being on the sixth floor, we were just above the tops of the Australian pine trees, giving us an unobstructed view down the length of Seven Mile Beach -- including great seats for the many July 4 fireworks shows on the beach. The building is one of the newest on the island, and it shows. The pool and hottub are great, and the workout room is very nice as well. There are four very nice Weber grills on either side of the pool for grilling, and they are cleaned every morning. The best thing about The Renaissance is the beautiful beach and lack of a crowd. On most days, there were perhaps 6-10 people at the beach and pool. Two days, our family of five were the only ones on the beach for the entire day. No scrambling for beach chairs and umbrellas. You can also walk about 10 minutes to a couple of beach bars and restaurants. We made the 30 minute walk down to the Westin and Ritz-Carlton one day. If you don't mind a crowded beach and like a lot of action, stay down there. If you like peace and quiet, stay a couple miles north at The Renaissance. The only negative -- and it is very minor -- is that I think hosuekeeping could do a little better job, especially considering what we were paying (including automatic gratuity for staff). In all similar condo rentals that we have used, housekeeping always did daily laundry and dishes. They don't at The Renaissance. Again, no big deal, but it would be nice...

Room Tip: Corner units above the 5th floor have a great view up and down the beach, as you are above the treet...

Every aspect of our 7 night stay was fantastic. Front desk would out the Ritz to shame. Excellent beach facilities and spotless rooms. What's not to like. We have been going to the Caymans since 1969 and the Renaissance is head and shoulders better than the alternatives.
