“Clearest water, finest sand ever!”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

Governor's Beach is located in the middle of Seven Mile Beach. This is the clearest water and the finest sand I have ever seen (including Hawaii, Bermuda, and others). The clear water makes for some very good snorkeling. I saw a large sting ray swimming easily about 15 yards from shore. I saw another (smaller) sting ray swimming about 5 yards from shore. Lots of fish too. There are tall pine and palm trees all along the beach that provide shade. There are no stones or coral in the water to hurt your feet. The beach was never crowded during my stay. The sunsets on the water are magnificent. There is a parking lot for those not staying near the beach. The governor's home is actually on the beach. It's good to be king (or governor).

“Sunset anyone?”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

This is where we would go every night to watch sunset. It seems to be a popular location, and since we've been usually during off season, never too crowded. The water is so calm on this beach...swimming there is so delicious, floating on a raft even better. Love Governor's beach!
Wish I was Governor!

“Locals beach”
Reviewed 22 November 2013

Perfect sand, a nice smaller reef about 50 yard out for snorkelers, lots of shade if you prefer to avoid the full force of the sun. Get there earlier if you want a picnic table as there are only two. Bring a beach towel and that's really all you need.

“Good coral, colourful fish and an amazing beach”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

A little less crowded than the strip in front of the Ritz Carlton and the snorkelling is easy to get to. Good coral - fans, sponges, hard and soft corals - and lots of tropical fish. The sand is like silk and the weather was incredibly cooperative. Worth the visit.

“Powdery soft sand!”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

This is another little Cayman gem - the beach sand is powdery soft and the beach is close to town. We were there at sun down and saw tons of activity with folks exercising. There is a little restaurant on the beach with dining on the beach.
