We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at this wonderful B&B during July. The location and the accommodation is first class with views overlooking Lake Bala. However, I must make special mention on the warmest of Welsh welcomes we received from Gwyneth & Bob. On arrival we were greeted with home made cake & scones and a pot of tea, which was very welcome after a long drive. Gwyneth gave us lots of details on places to visit and places to eat plus general info on all sorts of things, they really are the perfect hosts.

Breakfast time is a pleasure with lots to choose from, including home made Granola which was delicious. If you have a healthy appetite, you cant go wrong here. Over the years we have stayed at dozens of B&B's but I can honestly say that this is the best & if you fancy a glass of wine in an evening, there are 3 bottles on the dining room table for you to partake, such a lovely touch. So in conclusion, if you want a lovely, relaxing, first class break in Snowdonia, look no further than Felindre. Bob, I hope you are enjoying your retirement.

Room Tip: My only tip is go there, you wont be disappointed.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend in May. On arrival Gwyneth gave us a very warm welcome. We chose the location to walk up Snowdon and to explore Bala lake. There is a local pub close by and is a short drive away from Bala itself. The room is very clean and in the bathroom there is a wide choice of toiletries you may have forgotten to pack. In the dining area Gwyneth left us with a piece of paper to decide what we would like for breakfast the next day. She has an extensive choice and we were extremely impressed by the breakfast and hospitality. She also has maps of the area and leaflets of near by activities if you're looking for something to do. Everything you could need for a short stay.

Such a lovely setting; a get-away from it all, but not remote Farmhouse B&B which is ideally/centrally situated for visiting many of the scenic attractions of North Wales. When you then add in wonderful views, a wonderful welcome, wonderful breakfasts and wonderful hospitality, you get a wonderful recipe for a short break. Thank you, Gwen!!!

Room Tip: Rooms with windows to the front overlook Lake Bala

What a wonderful place to have discovered by chance on late rooms.com An idyllic farm house off a country road situated high enough to give the wonderful view as shown above. Within easy walking distance of the local pub "The Eagle" for our evening meal and is also frequented by the locals who made us very welcome. Nice to hear the welsh language being spoken and we made an effort to learn some simple phrases i.e Bora Da (just like you would learn to say Buenos Dias in Spanish) etc. Good tips of places to visit and routes to take from the locals too.
Gwyneth cooks a mighty "English Breakfast" with local welsh produce which you can buy from the local butcher. Really Really tasty sausages. Homely, comfortable, very clean and highly recommendable to others. Good location for sight seeing too - ask Gwyneth for directions to where the dambusters film was made, is a wonderful drive with brilliant views.

Room Tip: We chose the ensuite room, spacious shower area and well lit. Bedroom clean, comfortable, all tea-making facilities with welcome welsh cakes. (additional birthday buns too ) Gwyneth goes the extra mile to make your stay special.
