“When God Paints”
Reviewed 19 June 2013

This is a marvelous piece of creation. The ocean view from the top is breath taken. I would highly recommend this location for anyone who need to get a way from a busy polluted environment. This is an island where you can just relax and feel at home. The food on the island is delicious and there is a great buffet at The Alexandria Hotel, which is serve with love. The bluff would be great for background pictures for their desktop, post cards, wedding pictures or modeling shots. This view will just melt your heart , while the warm sunrays caresses your face. I love the Bluff on Cayman Brac.

Rick climbers would have a great time but I was just in awe at nature. There are foliage and caves throughout.

“Travel the island to see the sites.”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

The Bluff and the light house which is just a tower but still beautiful . Brac meaning Bluff in Galic is breath taking site, the birds nesting in the area and flying are great to watch. There is a path to go on but take water.

“A long and magnificant wall of rock”
Reviewed 19 April 2013

The cayman Islands are an uplift next to the Cayman Trench to the south. The wall on Cayman Brac is about 120 meters high and is the highest place on the cayman islands and the Cayman Trench is 7000 meters deep abyss extending from Central America to Cuba. I understand that the climbing community enjoys technical climbing on the wall. The views from the top are outstanding.

“Great views, very different from being on the shore”
Reviewed 20 March 2013

There are several ways to get up on the Bluff. One can drive up to roads/trails that start at the western end of the island and meander along as much as one likes, all the way to the eastern end of the island if that's your goal.

Perhaps easiest is to start from Spot Bay's Nim Things shop. A short distance behind the shop, one can park your car, walk up a long stairway to the entrance to Peter's Cave, and beyond that, one reaches the 'highlands' of the Brac, aka "The Bluff".

It can get quite hot during the middle of the day, so I'd recommend going early or later in the day. Bring water and a good pair of walking shoes, sneakers or similar (even Tevas or Keen), but not flip flops. Depending on how quietly you walk you can see lots of birds, sometimes even nesting seabirds.
