“Great Carribean Food and Spiced Rum”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

My #CondoSeniors enjoyed Caribbean Caribbean Jerk lunch at Lion's Rock in #StKitts while on Celebrity Cruise. Ribs were $17US and Fish was $20US and spiced rum was $5US. Lot of food, great service, massage on the beach and great views of Nevis. I had the jerk ribs - Delicious!

“Finally got to eat there on 3rd try”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Went by on Sunday - found out they only do lunch - I heard this was 1-4. Got there by 3:30 on Monday, they had stopped serving for lunch. Turns out they start around 12:30 or 1:00 and go until there are no more customers. Was successful on Tuesday. Super friendly and attentive staff. Prices are typical for this type of place - reasonable. Located right on the beach with great views. Met several different people while sipping a beer - all long-time supporters of this place. The food was good. We were told to try the ribs and chicken as it was our first time - told the BBQ sauce was great - they were correct - quite yummy. My wife said her chicken was excellent. Only disappointing thing for me were the ribs - while quite tasty, they were small, not very meaty and very small portion. I would go back - and try the fish next time.

“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed 1 February 2014

Lion Rock is a little shack setting just each of the Spice Mill. They have lounge chairs to rent if you want to spend the day at the beach soaking up the rays and looking at Nevis. The beach is wide, sandy and perfectly clear.

The food offerings are typical for the local shacks (chicken, ribs, fish...) but the blending of flavors is not so typical. Great food , inexpensive drinks and friendly service make this a must do while on St. Kitt's

“Go to Lions for lunch”
Reviewed 24 January 2014 via mobile

All the good stuff about Cockleshell is true, it's a nice beach with an unmissable lunch venue - lions beach bar. It's just a shack really, a bit shabby but that's its charm. The food is great, salads and veg including plantain and rice and peas with chicken or fish or shrimps or ribs. No burgers and chips here, thank God. A real taste of the Caribbean, the beach and Lions weren't too sanitized or touristy, it felt authentic. The beach around the headland past Lions is unspoilt, lined with palm trees and had only one local family having a picnic there. Beautiful. Go and have a look.

“Lion Rock rocks...”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

This is an excellent place to unwind. The beers are cold, but you have to try his rum punch, no sorry Lion Punch, it is not like other overly sweet punches, it pulls you in and you definitely need to have two. As this is very personal cooking and not mass production, come early for lunch and/or order before you get there. There were four of us so room to try different dishes, the grilled fish was excellent, I went with the grilled chicken which was wonderful to the bone. My daughter was pleased she had the ribs. The coconut rice and peas served with it was great, could have had a touch more. The space is rustic, you are right there on the beach, so you can take a walk or swim while you wait for your meal.
