Royal St. Kitts Golf Club

Attraction details
Owner description: Famed Canadian Acrhitch Thomas McBroom has skillfully remodeled Royal St. Kitts Golf Club to provide breathtaking views of the natural terrain. The course boasts spectacular and picturesque holes which border the black sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and stretch to the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea. The "links" -style golf course has five par 3s with three full holes on the Atlantic, and two full holes on the Caribbean Sea. The golf course is spread over 125 acres of irrigated lush seashore paspalum, and advanced hybrid turf grass, specifically designed to tolerate the salty ocean spray. Displaying a moderate number of sand bunkers (83 total) and 12 beautiful lakes on the course, wide fairways, and large putting greens, it is a fair, yet challenging test of golf. Four sets of tee complexes allow golfers of all skill levels to enjoy the challenge posed by this magnificant layout. The finishing hole returns golfers to the "country club" -style clubhouse featuring a full-service golf shop, locker rooms, and clubhouse grille. Enjoy this challenging 18-hole, par 71 layout year-round. Take in the sights of aquamarine surf, black sand beaches, and the local wildlife including egrets, lizards, and green tail monkeys that occupy the surrounding landscape. The Royal St. Kitts Golf Club is sure to test your skills, while stimulating all your senses during a golf experience you will never forget.

“Nice for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2014

We were staying at the Marriott Hotel and walked the 5 minutes to to the Golf Club for lunch on 2 or 3 occasions. Limited menu but enough choice to satisfy most people lunch appetites. Sat on the balcolny overlooking the lake and 18th green which was nice and very peaceful. Food good and prices reasonable. Great place to go if you wish to escape the beach and pool for a couple of hours.

“Go Play!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2014

This course makes St Kitts a golf destination. One reason my husband and I like to go to this island is to play golf here. The course is well maintained and has some wonderful island views. Their "just bring your swing" package is a great deal and you don't have to deal with bringing your clubs. Play late in the day for some great sunset views.

“Royal St. Kitts was Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2014

Played here while on a cruise with Celebrity. Bus was waiting when we got off ship. Only 10 minutes to golf club from port. Welcome and check in was easy. For only $45 we got clubs, shoes and 6 balls; small bucket of range balls and bottle of water. Great deal. Fee from ship was a little steep at $189 for golf and transfers. Course was in great shape; many holes on the back nine have gorgeous ocean views.

“Loved this course”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2014

We played twice during our week on st kitts and loved it. The back nine has several holes on the Atlantic Ocean with gorgeous views. The fairways are wide and very playable for us intermediate golfers. A little pricey though.

“Really liked this course”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2014

Start with the usually perfect weather. The staff is helpful and getting to the first tee was transparent, i.e. no chaos.
Lots and lots of sand; lots and lots of wind. Fairways are not clearly defined. That's the only downside.
It's pretty throughout and ( as every reviewer correctly notes ) many breathtaking views on the back nine and some nice scenery on holes 3 and 4, too.
It's kept in great shape.
I played three times in a week and used the course's "short term membership" to get discounted club rental. They give water bottle and two sleeves, too. At $135 for 18, it's a fair value.
Lunch was good.
