Nice restaurant and nice owners. the stqff is a bit slow and the food is nothing special.
We think the rum punch is the best around and the old building is great to see but don' tgo expecting great food.

“Best breakfast anywhere! Wonderful staff”
Reviewed 8 May 2013

Great historical location, it is like stepping back in time. Fantastic gardens and views, Our waitress, Ritsa was so helpful, kind and so friendly that even without the wonderful food she would have made our visit, we will definitely stay there for a night or two next visit to Nevis.
The breakfast was huge and unique, fresh fruits, homemade ginger & carrot cake, a bowl of homemade muesli with a bowl of homemade yogurt, fresh juices, we had soursop and a golden apple, wonderful eggs on black beans, bacon & onions, homemade sausages cooked with green peppers and onion. My partner was a little more conservative having perfectly poached eggs, fresh spinach, grilled tomatoes with homemade toasted bread. we both had Homemade jam and toast to finish and a pots of English breakfast tea and fresh coffee. What a way to start the day, we didn't eat until teatime.

“Wednesdsay night West Indian Buffet!”
Reviewed 22 April 2013

Shortly after arrival at the Four Seasons, we jumped in a taxi to head over for the Hermitage's weekly West Indian buffet. We were so happy that we did! Not only was it fun to sit around the common areas of the inn enjoying drinks, the food was incredible. The meal began with a fish soup that was seasoned perfectly and a great way to start things off. As for the buffet, there were something like 20 dishes out and you can tell the staff is quite proud of what they put out and they should be. I do not think there was anything set out that we did not like. We certainly went back for seconds. The bread pudding for dessert was quite delicious as well, and I don't typically like bread pudding! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and left contentedly full. Hats off to the chef.

If you're on the island on Wednesday, you simply must include this on your itinerary.

“Most Enjoyable”
Reviewed 9 March 2013

This is a very "quiet" establishment in that it is a very tranquil place far away from the kiss me quick brigade.

We had a most enjoyable lunch here.

The menu is varied and the prices are reasonable.

The restaurant is set in part of what is said to be the oldest surviving house in the Caribbean It is very well preserved and worth a visit in it's self..

There are several "Ginger Bread Houses close by which are very attractive and look great in photographs

“Delightful”
Reviewed 25 February 2013

We stopped at the Hermitage for lunch based on the recommendations of island friends. It was a delightful experience looking out over the grounds as we ate. Two in our party ordered pizza and my wife, the southern Italian pizza gourmet, rated it among the best thin crust pizza she has ever had. She indicated it beat anything she has had in Naples. The setting is quiet and pleasant. Great place for a relaxing meal.
