This place has sat at or near the top of the list of Bequia restaurants on TripAdvisor for years. Despite that fact, we skipped it during our first few trips to Bequia. Now that I've been there, I'm sorry we did. The thought of french food in a tropical environment... it's not what we were looking for. But a friend brought us there for lunch and promised we'd get a great meal. He was right. The menu is a great blend of local and French cuisine, with most of the entrees involving lobster. The seared tuna sandwich and the lobster BLT were both amazing. Also, one of the better rotis we had on the island (and we had more than a few!) If we had the time, we would have returned just for a chance to sample some of the other items on the menu. The view is lovely (though not one of the best), and mosquitoes were minimal (my wife is like chocolate for mosquitoes). The service - while friendly and efficient - was quite annoying, though. Our conversations were continually interrupted by a server looking to fill our water glasses. Don't get me wrong - I love an attentive waitstaff... but you don't need to announce your intentions to fill a water glass. Just fill it. Maybe we got a rookie waitress. It's hardly a complaint worth mentioning.
