“Private Oasis”
Reviewed 10 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Belair Garden Cottage was a wonderful, private cottage. Becca seemed to have thought of all the little details to make our stay memorable, even a local phone to use while you are on the island. She had arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the ferry, and when we arrived at the cottage, she greeted us with wonderful muffins in hand. We also ordered bread, which Becca makes fresh upon request. Yummm.

Every morning we would sit on the deck enjoying our coffee and just soak in all the spectacular views.

We also had a taxi arranged for us on our last day to take us back to the ferry.

I hope we will be able to get back to Carriacou at some time, and we would definitely stay at Belair Garden Cottage again.

Thanks Val & Neil for your thumbs up for our cottage. Glad we were able to provide a comfy hideaway for your adventures here in Carriacou. So glad you made that local connection for fishing; thanks for the barracuda! We hope to see you again in the future! Michael & Becca

“A dose of paradise”
Reviewed 3 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Other reviewers have mentioned how gorgeous the setting is - and the view is something I found myself unable to stop taking photo after photo of, morning and night - but what's really impressive about Belair Garden Cottage is the care and attention with which Becca has built and designed the place - everything is so well thought out, and just in the right place, from the general layout to all the various hooks and latches to keep the doors and windows open in the breeze. Our days spent there were so peaceful, and far too few. Highlights were visits from Antonio the macaw, and the sight of the massive male iguana sunbathing in the mornings. And an amazing trip to the Grenadines and Tobago Cays on a schooner called Scaramouche, organised by a friend of Becca and Michael's! The breeze keeps the mozzies (mostly) at bay - we didn't have to use the mosquito net over the bed until the last night (which was unusually still) and didn't really get bitten.

But what we kept coming back to was the view. While the landscape of Carriacou is stunning, and the beaches (Anse la Roche in particular) hard to tear oneself away from, the view always made us gasp when we came home at night. A stunning cottage, a beautiful holiday, and we can't wait to come back if we can!

Sounds like you had a good time reminiscing while writing a description of your stay at our cottage...as good as we feel creating this tropical sanctuary for our guests. Yes, how fortunate the day trip to the Tobago Cayes on Scaramouche was organized while you were here! So nice to meet you both! Do indeed come back for more adventures. Best regards,
Becca & Michael ~

“Everyting a tropical cottage should be and more, more, more!”
Reviewed 26 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We walked in the front door and immediately felt at home. The cottage was spotless, charming and very well appointed with everything you needed to relax and enjoy. Becca designed the cottage and it is amazing how she thought out every detail so that staying there would be so easy and everything is in the place you would expect it to be. The view is to die for and it was hard to pull ourselves away from it and do our touristy things elsewhere. Every window in the cottage captures an enchanting view of either the lovely garden or the sea. I loved doing the dishes and looking out at all the colourful foliage in the garden. We were lucky to meet Antonio, the red Macaw, one morning. And of course Becca had set aside a container of peanuts so we could feed Antonio. He has impeccable table manners! Becca and Michael are lovely, helpful and accommodating hosts and by the way Becca will make some very tasty bake goods for you. The lime scones were yummy thank you Becca. At the Belair Garden Cottage you can truly explore the art of just being and drift off while lying in the hammock dreaming of paradise...

Thanks for sharing your experiences of your stay at our cottage. It is always rewarding to know that guests have easily downshifted into the tranquil setting we try to provide at our cottage. We are equally glad that Antonio presented himself and you had a chance to hand feed him. He is QUITE a beauty. Hope to see you back again~

“Still Just Perfect!”
Reviewed 31 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We love this place so much that we came back for a three week stay and once again it was perfect! The cottage is very comfortable, very quiet and private with the most amazing views of the sea and neighbouring islands. We especially love that Antonio the Scarlet Macaw stopped by for a visit, and posed for a few pictures. Becca and Michael are perfect hosts, close by if you need them but will give your privacy if you don't. We will be back!

“A perfect getaway”
Reviewed 28 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

My girlfriend and I stayed at Becca's cottage for almost a week. The cottage itself is gorgeous, perfect for a couple or family looking to get away from it all. It's surrounded by exotic and tropical plants and has a beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean. If you rent a jeep, it's really easy to go into town and get the local catch of the day at the fish market. Or if you don't mind waiting you can also take the local bus, but it doesn't run late. Becca is a great host, she is extremely helpful and ready to answer any questions you may have. We were also invited over for a drink while we were there and had the privilege to meet Becca's husband and mother. What a great family!

“Absolutely Lovely”
Reviewed 24 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

We had planned a trip to Grenada with an island hop over to Carriacou and after arriving at Becca and Micheal's lovely Belaire Garden Cottage we wished we would have just stayed there for our whole vacation. It's a quiet, peaceful and private little cottage which is fully equipped with everything you could hope for on your get away from it all vacation. The constant breeze keeps you very comfortable both day and night, the private outdoor shower with a beautiful view of the grenadines is a great way to start your day, and the lovely hammock on the large deck is great for an afternoon read with no shortage of books for your enjoyment. Becca and Micheal are fantastic and gracious hosts who are easily reached on the provided cell phone and excellent sources of information about the best little island in the Caribbean. Becca's tasty baked goodies are definitely something that are not to be missed! If you are an avid gardener or plant lover, the grounds are spectacular and you can see the amount of care, passion and effort that has been put in. Definitely a place on our return to list!
