Description: Chef Khalid Mohammed's Chaud Restaurant offers modern, international cuisine with a touch of Caribbean flair. Favourites include the guava barbecue shrimp and creamy cheddar grits with applewood-smoked bacon or a tasting of three tartares - yellowfin tuna, Atlantic salmon and Chilean sea bass. Chef Khalid prides himself on freshness, quality and creativity with entrees that include tamarind-glazed double-cut pork chop, and the maple-glazed double duck breast with apple butter. Be sure to end your meal at Chaud with some of the best desserts on the island.

“One of the top 5 restaurants in Trinidad”

Chaud is an excellent choice for those who enjoy fine dining with a Caribbean flair. Chef Khalid Mohammed has done it again with Chaud. I have followed him since his days at Jaffa and his own restaurant is long overdue. I highly recommend that you try his 5 course tasting menu to get an idea of the scope of dishes Chaud offers. The shellfish linguini is particularly good as well.

Service at Chaud is excellent and while the prices tend to be on the high end your tastebuds will thank you for it.

“Wonderful food, good service”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

This is a restaurant I would wholeheartedly recommend.
The food is lovely, presentation wonderful and taste exquisite.
I have been before and returned this week for restaurant week.
The set menu for restaurant week was just as wonderful as their regular a la carte.
Service is top- notch.
Is a bit pricey but unfortunately, that is how it is for fine dining.
However, this is one of the very few places in which I have dined, that I think is well worth the dining experience.

“best restaurant service in trinidad”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

I went for my birthday 17/10/13 . This is the best service , I ever experienced in Trinidad. The waiters and waitresses sang a very good birthday song with a very good chorus.
The atmosphere is good with a view of the savannah .The food is very flavorful, french with local twist. My only criticism is that the machine for credit card was giving trouble. I used the card before and after dinner without problems.I called the credit card center and there was no problem.

If you are looking for a high end restaurant with quality service. This is your place. They have some local cuisine items on the menu and some standard foods as well to meet everyone's liking. I'd go back!

“Supreme culinary experience”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

We (my husband and me) had a dinner on weekday, so place wasn't crowded. Quiet--the way I like to dine especially when I have time to enjoy dinning and time to relax.
The restaurant is very clean, neat and pretty Caribbean décor in and out. The building is gorgeous Tables very well appointed providing a space and privacy for guests. Service well trained, knowledgeable about menu, ingredients and polite.
Food was just out of this planet. Absolutely perfect harmony among more aromatic spices and local ingredients. I had mushroom tarte flambe for an appetizer and it was excellent. My entrée was grouper and it was prepared to perfection. Fresh, soft, with no residual flavors.
Wine recommended for a dinner was really good . With no doubts, it is one of the best restaurants in West Indies.
