“Nice Lime”

Maracas bay is a nice lime, waves are a bit heavy. Food is great, especially bake and shark from Richards.

“Beautiful beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2014

I always love to visit Maracs Bay as it is so beautiful. I love the fact that there are so many coconut trees which provide shade from the blazing sun in Trinidad. The cleaners do a good job of keeping the place clean but the citizens must also do their part by not littering so much! The changing rooms could be a bit bigger as it gets cramped on a busy day. The food and drink options are great but the prices are getting a bit high! Overall, this is a lovely beach to visit. The water can become rough though so if you are not a strong swimmer, stay close to the shore!

“Nicest beach in Trinidad”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2014 via mobile

So we've been told anyway. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon and has great scenery

The drive to the Bay is stunning with all the lush greenery as you go up the mountain

You can catch a maxi cab there and back ($9TT per person, one way), but it was impossible for us to find transport back to POS in the afternoon (which was the case because we went on Jan 1). We ended up paying $250TT to get a private car back as we were getting desperate after waiting for over an hour for a maxi cab heading back to POS

Richard's bake and shark is delicious. Service is wanting, but I guess that's to be expected for that kind of establishment

“Great place to hang out with the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2014

Attended a wedding in Trinidad. We went to the beach to relax after the wedding. The scenic view from our hotel to Maracas Bay is awesome. Blue water, blue sky and green vegetation. The beach is clean. The changing area is clean with 1tt to enter. They keep the place clean. Lounging chairs are available with a fee. The water is warm and clean. Although the wave is choppy, my husband had a great time boogie boarding. Great place to hang out with the family. It is not crowded. Taste the local bake and shark. Fun day!

“The best beach ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2014

Patsy's bake and shark is a must visit. The beach is great chairs are available for rent , but you need to be on guard as to water conditions. If travelling with children, it is advisable for an adult to stay on shore to monitor their water activities, because not at all times lifeguards are on duty.
