Walked the entire park. Quiet, sunny day. I got to take in the historical buildings along the way and the zoo and botanical park which lie on the outskirts. Nice relaxing area to catch an outdoors picnic.

Great for exercise. A lap around the savannah affords one a decent workout accompanied by some historic sightseeing. The night comes alive with the aroma of quality street food. The savannah is always a 'big shabang' at Carnival time too.

It's not much more than big open space but that being said it is central to just about everything in the city. It is one of the major roundabouts of the city. You'd enjoy some coconut water from a vendor and maybe some sunlight and a nice stroll but nothing much to see there.

It is true, the Savannah is a huge space with great potential and not much else at the moment. However, it is a space where lots of things happen in Trinidad and if you want to go for a walk or a run it is the best place. Have a quick look at the dilapidated Magnificent Seven, enjoy some cool coconut water, and take a stroll at the botanical gardens across the street. Don't go on your own, though, especially if you are a woman or if you are going in the evening. You will be safer and enjoy the place better if you go with other people.

I didnt find the Savannah very interesting, just a big empty space with some trees etc. I would not spend any time there and head to Maracas Bay instead
