I satyed two nights here recently and thoroughly enjoyed. I recommened the executive king room because its spacious and you get free cocktailss at the executive lounge. Nice private balcony view. Wifi access at the executive lounge. The room package came with an excellent breakfast buffet styling and the variety of food was awesome. really enjoyed the pool also. There is a well equipped gym although i didnt use it. My only concern was there were no bed room slippers in the room and the tile in the washroom is cold.

Room Tip: this hotel is built on a hill. so the lower floors means that you down below. I stayed at the 8th floor in the main building for a great view. So choose from floor 6-8 th if you are in the main building so yu can get a good city view.

Thank you for your response and we hope you take a few minutes to use the gym on your return stay with us, although that is purely optional. Looking forward to welcoming you back!

    Rooms/Common Areas
As other reviewers have commented, the hotel, more particularly the exterior and common areas, are dated. However, our party stayed in the Studio Suites and Sundeck Suite which were large, nicely updated and very comfortable.

    Staff/Service
The staff were polite and very willing to assist, particularly Dana at Front Desk, who quickly reconciled a room booking discrepancy; and especially Celina with housekeeping. Room service is however slow - often about a 45 minute wait.

    Views
There is not much of a view from the studio suites (floors 7 and 8) but the Sundeck suite (1st floor) had a large balcony with a lovely view. The sun lounge area on the lobby floor has amazing views over Port of Spain and the Savannah.

    Executive lounge
The complimentary lounge is open to guests in executive rooms and suites. Usual continental breakfast items on offer between 7-10am with alternating option of scrambled or hard boiled eggs. No oatmeal in cereal section. The evening cocktail between 5-7pm is a nice touch, with a good selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

Food is generally average and a tad expensive.

Free parking is available on site.

Overall, would recommend and would stay again.

I spent my birthday at the Hilton Trinidad (June 2014). I visited here for two main reasons the great food and the tranquil location. The Hilton Trinidad has been widely known for its food and I can testify of that. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is being refurbished, therefore the interior is a bit sore to the eyes. However, the staff is pleasant. The views are amazing. My room was in view of the pool but the Savannah view is quite lovely also. I will be visiting this hotel again.

Room Tip: Choose the Savannah view, its quite lovely and relaxing.

What a joy it is to wake up early and go out to the balcony and hear the chirping of the birds a d see them fluttering from tree to tree singing their morning praise. You may even see a squirrel bouncing from tree to tree. How refreshing to lift your eyes to the hills and watch the mist fade away to usher in the rays of the rising sun. It is a great way to start the day by joining with nature and these other creatures in giving thanks to the Creator for the privilege to see another day.

My wife and I spent a romantic getaway night here and we had a really nice experience. The room rate was very reasonable and the room was clean and modern, with a super comfortable bed and well lit reading areas and workspaces.

We had a delicious buffet dinner at the hotel restaurant (an a la carte menu was available, as well) that offered some local dishes and some familiar dishes, but all the food had a great local flavor.

The views overlooking Port of Spain are really breathtaking. We could have easily gone in to the city, as the hotel overlooks the Queens Savannah, but chose to have drinks overlooking the city on the outside terrace at the hotel, instead, and that was the perfect setting for a couples getaway.

The staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay!
