Luce in Hilton is relatively new to the night life scene. Located near the Pool terrace and over looking the Queens Park Savannah it is a comfortable, chic and modern lounge setting. I do believe I even said it was swanky when I walked in. But looks aren't everything. As a female from south Trinidad I felt very out of place. Perhaps my wardrobe wasn't quite in sync with sheer shirts and handkerchief style blouses baring all the risqué tattoos. On top of that, Luce has been around for a month yet their waitresses still have to memorize the tapas menu. The sushi menu has a total of about five items. Half the wine list didn't actually exist in the bar. And my sashimi came to the table before our drinks! Correct me if I'm wrong but even though the fish is raw it should still take longer to prepare than pouring some wine. On the pricey side but not unusual for the crowd they want to draw. It is definitely an appropriate place for a more mature crowd. However, there are some kinks to be worked out for sure. I'm not longing to return but I would in several months if it's still around.
