“Lovely, great host”
Reviewed 9 May 2014 via mobile

We went for my girl friend's birthday lunch and just as we got there disaster struck: she had a flat tire. When we tried to get the nuts loose to change it, they were locked on tighter than a nun's you-know-what.

I went in to apologise to the chef/owner for being late for our reservation and explained why. Not phased, our host came out with his own set of tools to help us. He did something magical and lo, the nuts came loose. We were immensely embarrassed and grateful lol.

We then went in and proceeded to have the most delicious lunch of tuna steaks and fresh salad, while watching the most gorgeous view of King's Bay shimmering blue in the sunshine.

We will definitely be back, hopefully without any problems with our nuts, haha.

“call before you go”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

Phone before you go. We drove over an hour to eat here because of the great reviews, only to be told by the owner, we are closed, may open again by July. Today is April 29.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We do have in our description that it is recommended that you should call before you visit us. We were closed due to situations out of our control. We had no water in the cafe at the time of your visit and we cannot operate without water, no fault of ours but this sometimes happens on the island. Again sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for considering us.

“Believe the hype!!”
Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile

We put this place in our saves on trip advisor before arriving in tobago as it had great reviews, we called in mid afternoon during a drive around the island, we were lucky enough to get a table on the veranda which has spectacular views across the bay. The food served is home made and cooked to order. We had a variety from the menu and everything was very tasty. The cafe did appear to be popular with visitors and locals. I can personally recommend the tuna burger, frozen brownie and coffee! Well worth a visit we will return!

“Once again, an excellent place to have lunch”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Having recently returned to Tobago we headed straight to the Kings Bay Café in Delaford to sample another fantastic lunch which was a fresh fillet of Tuna locally caught and landed in the bay below the café that morning. Can't get fresher than that. It was perfectly cooked by Mike the owner/chef. This time I brought two friends along who thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. Glad to see you are maintaining your high standards.

“A Must visit!”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

Food at its freshest and simplest with wonderful clean flavours. We even saw the Wahu before it went on the grill. The fish was succulent and the slaw and potatoes were perfect. Mike, the owner and chef was very friendly and engaging. I will definitely be returning to try more from the menu. Be sure to have some coffee and a brownie and take in the view before you leave. King's Bay Café is away from the capital and tourist hub, but is a must visit. Make a few stops along the way to take in the sights and get there in time for lunch. What a treasure!
