Owner description: A mysteriously uncrowded beach that is great for swimming and snorkeling.

We had read some mixed reviews about Englishman's bay. We were the first people at the bay and it was wonderful having the whole place to ourselves. Gradually more people arrived, however it was not overcrowded and still retained that feel of paradise.
The little café served good food at a reasonable price. In fact it was probably one of the best value for money meals we ate whilst in Tobago. The service was good and we sat on the first floor of the café to eat, enjoying the view and listening to the laughter of another family.
Following our day we walked back to Castara.

This beach is no longer the best keep secret after all. It's been featured by so many travel guide books and it's beginning to get crowded here too. The ocean is calm and you barely encountered current when swimming. That's because the beach bordered between two shorelines like U form blocking the winds from both directions. Beware its deep during high tide especially late in the afternoon. It's a small beach about quarter to half a mile from tip to tip. My advice is come here late afternoon just in time for the beach goers to leave and you'll have the beach by yourself. Most visitors comes far from Scarborough or Pigeon Point so they leave before it gets dark. There you have it, enjoy the beach by yourself.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Tobago, you feel as if you were on a deserted island that you never want to leave. The soft sands backed by swaying palms hemmed in by a deep cove make this picture post card perfect. Although the restaurant there is often closed, it's a great place to get back to nature. The calm water invites a dip with no worries of big waves or undertow.

It is just so serene and peaceful here!... While storebay and Pigeon point are nice places, this one is little more secluded and much more beautiful!... not much to do here but pack a picnic bag and some beer, you will never leave this place!..

Beautiful secluded sandy beach...wish I had better snorkeling gear. It was quiet with hardly anyone around at 4:30. Took a while to get there......but worth the drive.
