“Atlantic Beach with Carib feel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2013

Situated on the grounds of the Blue Waters Inn, this is a nice beach. Despite being the Atlantic side, the bay is relatively protected from rough waters due to Little Tobago and Goat Island. Swimming is pretty safe as long as you don't swim out past 100 yards where the currents pick up. This beach is best visited if you're staying at Blue Waters Inn though, as it's directly in front of the hotel with all the amenities you need.

“Be sure to visit when in Speyside”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2013

Batteaux Bay is accessed through Blue Waters Inn which is located on the bay. (Hats off to the management of the inn for their apparent commitment to hospitality!) It's a steep five minutes hike from the road to the beach.

It's beautiful and serene.

“Blue Waters”

what a lovely quiet bay. Views are great, swimming is nice. Snorkelling is limited, very blurry and often lots of jelly fish (juk).

“Calm waters whatever it's doing out in the Atlantic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2013

Batteaux Bay is unusual because although it is on the windward side of Tobago it is protected from the worst of the Atlantic swell by the little island of Little Tobago which, incidentally, is a wild life refuge.
