Location, location, location. Osprey has it. Situated on a nice beach with snorkeling right off shore. The dive boat leave right on the hotel's beach; you only have to walk about 80 feet. The outdoor dining room and bar are breezy with spectacular sunset. My room was spacious, kept spotless by a crack crew who even washed any stray dishes I forgot. Menu is simple but very nice with BBQ every Wednesday offering one of the best steaks I've had in a while. It is in walking distance from some very classic island bars and restaurants that have that authentic patina you won't find in Provo. Plan to stay there again this year.

Room Tip: Ocean view a must

My wife and I spent 6 days here while diving with Blue Waters. We began our stay in an atrium balcony room and found it to be quite adequate. It was a very large room with 2 queen beds and a functioning air conditioner. The balcony was shared with other 2nd-floor units and had a bit of an ocean view from the Room 1 end. The hotel wi-fi didn't reach here but there was an unlocked alternate site that worked most of the time.

After a day and a half I upgraded us to the King Oceanfront room. It was much smaller but adequate, with a private balcony. Key differences include a TV, in-room safe, and a coffee maker. Also a tub which is useful for rinsing dive gear. The Wi-Fi was more reliable but the speed varied considerably, sometimes painfully slow, other times very fast.

We ate at the hotel restaurant twice and found the food to be good and reasonably priced (by Grand Turk standards). The seating by the pool provided nice ocean views. We had most of our lunches at the nearby Sand Bar (tasty but VERY slow). We also enjoyed the nearby Saltraker (no view but very good food).

Many other reviews imply that the 'ocean-front' accommodations are essential. I disagree. If we were on more of a budget I would have been perfectly happy in an Atrium room.

Between our dives with Blue Water and our stay at this hotel we were very happy with our Grand Turk experience.

We spent two weeks at Osprey in the beginning of May and had a great time. We were on a scuba trip and dove with Blue Water Dive which is right in the Osprey complex. They pick you up right on the beach in front of the hotel. The dive operation uses Carolina skiffs which they limit to 8 divers maximum, they could probably take a couple more divers but 8 is a very comfortable number. The dive master is the last to go in the water and the first to come out, that way they help you into your gear and then assist you out of the water. On a couple of dives there were only two divers on the boat and it was very enjoyable. The dive staff is friendly and professional but they are not overbearing and pretty much let you do your own thing after they determine your level of proficiency. The hotel was really nice, we had an upstairs room next to the restaurant area. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff was very efficient and friendly, as a matter of fact ALL of the people at Osprey and Blue Water were very hospitable. The restaurant at Osprey is convenient and the food is good but expensive. However, the food is pricey everywhere on the island as everything must be brought in on ships. We do not consider ourselves to be picky travelers but Osprey is a very solid 3 star property and we would be sure to stay there again if we return to Grand Turk.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have high cathedral ceilings and feel much more roomy. The rooms with mini kitchens a...

We went on our honeymoon April of 2014 and wanted a private getaway. Osprey Beach offered just that. We had a Premium King Suite on the second floor level. The view from our patio was fantastic. Every morning we woke up to the sound of waves and a view of the gorgeous turquoise water. Since Grand Turk is not located near the major resorts on the main island, we had the feel of being on our own private beach. There were no crowded areas filled with sunbathers. You could walk for 30 minutes and maybe see 4 or 5 people. The hotel is located near Front Street, which runs along the beach in front of the downtown area. It is about a 5 minute walk to the shops and nearby restaurants. The BirdCage restaurant at the hotel was exquisite. The first night we tried the Sweet and Sour grouper. That remained my favorite meal the entire trip. The waitress Erlande was amazing! She was the most pleasant person I met and always greeted us with a smile. Georgina at the front desk was extraordinarily helpful in booking not only the hotel, but the connecting flights from Provo, all of our activities, and a taxis to the airport. I could not have imagined a better getaway than this one.

Room Tip: I did not hear any negative feed back from people on the first floor, but I am happy we were in the...

We stayed along with our son in a suite with the mini-kitchen. The location of the hotel is great, nice beach, can walk to town, dive boat picks you right up off beach. The mini-kitchen is handy although buying groceries in town is tricky because everything is brought in to this island. Staff helpful about shopping and where to refill water jugs. Check out the bakery!! We saw two beach weddings and they looked very nice. We went to the BBQ on a Sunday night, we thought the food was very good, good sized portions and the view is great. The beds were comfy, wifi on second floor a bit weak. Lots of space in the room for 3 people although could use drawers to unpack your clothes.

Room Tip: the mini kitchen was all we needed, glad we didn't pay more just to get the stovetop

Easy Breezy ! Wonderful little island hotel - I too must say amazing views from both your room (beach rooms of course) and the restaurant /bar. The entire staff is pleasant and helpful. Short walk to multiple dive / snorkel shops and local beach bars. 2 minute drive to airport or cruise ship dock. Warning drive safe Donkey & Horse roam free and this quaint little island.

Room Tip: Stay on the beach for the views - but if you are looking to just launch out from your room the court...

Quaint, boutique hotel with the most pleasurable staff anyone can ask for. There is nothing more humbling than sitting on our balcony, having our morning coffee, watching the whales migrate. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and love the old Bermudian style décor. Beach was beautiful though this time of the year, as all know, weather is tricky with the tradewinds. Had 4 gorgeous days with the water like glass.... Special Thank you to the Best bartender on the island at the Birdcage, lil Miss Anna Mae (Thank you so much for everything), Georgina for all of her expertise, help and putting up with us crazy Americans. Thank you all for such a special time welcoming us to your island. We rarely ever travel to an island 2 years in a row and we are already looking at arrangements to visit again this June!!!! Grand Turk is a magical place and as Porter stated: "after your commercial flight, you truly are NOT on vacation until you take another flight somewhere else." Best advice ever as we are avid Caribbean travelers and explorers....

Room Tip: Beachfront, Absolutely...
