“Wonderful stay at the West Bay Club!”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

My husband and I just returned from a week long stay at West Bay Club from June 7th to the 14th to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I researched hotels/resorts extensively prior to arriving on where to stay and it was absolutely perfect! Our room was spacious, beautiful and our balcony and ocean view did not disappoint. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, room 202. We could not have wanted for anything! The entire property is gorgeous and the pool is really nice. The staff is attentive and yet not overbearing...it seemed they knew what we needed without us even asking. The guys at the beach...Charles, Jeffrey, William and Jimmy were so great! We had a lot of fun visiting with them and just laughing a lot! They spoiled us rotten. I wanted to take Charles home in my suitcase as he is a complete doll! All the staff are just tremendous people. The location is great and the beach area is not crowded at all. My only negative is the food and drink prices here. We found them to be one of the most expensive on the island which was too bad but the breakfast was outstanding every morning as well as any food we did order. We rented a car through Avis which was the smartest thing we did. They were great to work with and provided transfers to and from the airport which was a breeze. We were able to explore the whole island, different restaurants, resorts and shopping. For meals out, I highly recommend the Somewhere Cafe at Coral Gardens (fish tacos and great cocktails), Mango Reef (Escargot and the Mahi Mahi), the Seaside Cafe (really inexpensive Caesar salad that was yummy), Heminways (to die for Shrimp Pasta) and the Infiniti Bar at Grace Bay Club (the Infiniti Cocktail, shrimp cocktail and Chocolate Gourmandized dessert). We made our way to the latter on our final night and the ambiance, food and drink were almost magical. The fish fry on Thursday night is not to be missed and was a blast. It was so nice to walk just a few steps down the beach to it as well.

We met other couples and very nice families while we were there so that was a bonus. We planned the trip right at the beginning of the low season and took advantage of the every 3rd night free. Considering our luxurious accommodations it was a steal in my opinion. Many of the other resorts were a lot more expensive, too big and in most cases not as nice. It may be less crowded this time of year as well, so I would say it was a great time frame to visit. I could go on and on for days so let me just say this one thing, West Bay Club and Provo will not disappoint! We are already planning a return trip!

I hated leaving the resort! The staff was the best at customer service. Adia and Roger took car of us at arrival. We were ushered to the pool side bar where we were served an excellent fresh made rum punch. There was no front desk, they brought everything to us at the bar!

When we arrived at the beach, William and Wellington set up our chairs and chat with us about dinner options.

Our 2 bedroom condo was gorgeous!!!!! A.C. worked great, view was spectacular!
Bed was very comfy, water pressure great.

I think we met the entire staff! We will return!

Anyone can use the paddle boards and wind surfing equipment. We watched Charles spend 2 hours with another guest teaching him to wind surf.... The staff wants to help ensure a fabulous trip!

Overall, a very good property on the "quiet end" of Grace Bay. We really loved the location BUT we had a car!!! If you are going to spend your vacation here on foot, I highly recommend a more central hotel - most guests we met felt pretty limited by the places they could get on foot and cabs are a FORTUNE.

Best part of the vacation here: the staff and the beach!!! If you want a relaxing vacation on a glorious white sand beach with turquoise water and no one interrupting you, this is the spot.

Hotel pool is nice but small. The key cards were a problem and the first night it was a nightmare which over time improved. Wi-fi is excellent and you can get it on the BEACH if that's your thing. Housekeepers came at different hours every day which made it difficult to get our room cleaned (we went out in the morning to go diving most days on a regular schedule but there were 3 days we missed room cleaning and towels!) Biggest complaint: the room itself was dark and very small with no area to hang even a bathing suit let alone a wet suit. But the bed was comfortable and the little kitchenette saved us a lot of $$$.

Food and bar: excellent but expensive. Best bet: get yourself to the Graceway IGA and buy some groceries so you're not having to eat out for lunch AND dinner every single day. Getting a lunch for less than $40 a person is difficult here!

Overall, a good choice if you have a car and want to get out of the 'main strip' of Grace Bay.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, go with the suites. The studio was very dark and tiny with NO space to even h...

The West Bay Club was perfect. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was always helpful and on several occasions went above and beyond to help make our stay perfect. Would definitely return on our next trip to Turks and Caicos!

My husband and I arrived on June 7th and stayed for 6 nights in a one bedroom luxury suite over looking the ocean. The room was huge, comfortable, clean and well worth the 400.00 something a night we paid. We were able to get the every third night free so that's how the room cost was low. The staff were absolutely amazing and ready to assist you whenever you needed. Local people were friendly after you broke through their wall. Some may see that as rude, but we just saw it as a culture difference. Once you established a friendly rapport everybody was extremely helpful.

The only downfall of staying at WBC is the cost of the drinks/food. We went to the IGA and bought groceries which were extremely expensive also, but cheaper than it would be to eat out daily. Expect to go with at least 1000.00 of spending money for a week, and even that doesn't get you very far. In addition to the cost of food, you had the cost of taxi's. It was 54.00 from the WBC to "The Hole" and then onto the conch farm with a return to WBC. Probably couldn't be more than 7 miles roundtrip. We only had a 50.00 and a 20.00 on us, so the driver got 70.00 for that short ride. If you can rent a car AND feel comfortable driving on the left side of the road, I would recommend doing this. We rented a car for one day but my husband was stressing over the left side of the road driving, plus the car was a US car, so the steering wheel was on the left as we are used to, however, this just confused him more. We returned the vehicle within 24 hours of getting it.

We did eat at Stix one day and had the Beef kabobs, the shrimp, the vegetable skewers and the Corn and all of it was AMAZING. We also had dessert two times at the bar. Breakfast was amazing everyday and was quite a treat. The homemade muesli was so fantastic, we ate it every morning.

We went to the Fish fry on Thursday night - although it states it starts at 5:30 it was already underway by 5:15. I had the jerk chicken with rice/peas and corn on the cob, hubby had the fried snapper (which was an entire fish, head and all on a plate) with pickled vegetables (amazing) and rice/peas. This was very reasonable priced at 12.00 each. Cheapest thing we had all week. Highly recommend going there if you are staying on a Thursday night. And the drinks cost about 7.00 a piece compared to the 15.00 a piece at WBC.

Special kudos to Sean (who hand picked us coconuts and provided straws, cut them open and served them to us with a spoon). Jeffrey who is perky, happy, energetic and loves his job, mingling with the guests, etc. Charles at the pool, Kizzy at reception and everybody else that I can't remember their names. Also a shout out to the resort kitty...Rose. She had breakfast with us every morning and we looked forward to seeing her on a daily basis. Beautiful long haired tabby who is fixed, which was nice to hear. Sweet sweet cat!

Pool was amazing, however, lacking a hot tub which would be nice for the evenings. Never crowded (maybe one other couple at the pool each time). Very few children, and the ones there were well behaved and respectful. Just a quiet quiet quiet place to stay and very relaxing. The rooms are super soundproof and we never heard a soul from inside our suite.

We snorkeled Bight reef. Husband saw a baracuda, a huge starfish, stingray and a sea turtle along with many beautiful colorful fish and coral. Highly recommend this!!!

I could go on and on about how amazing this trip was....but you need to experience it yourself. Highly recommend staying at WBC. We visited Gansevoort briefly 2x and felt it had a pretentious air to it. WBC is just as beautiful an had a warmer feeling. Plus it was 1/3 of the cost of Gansevort along with getting a 1400 square foot room instead of the Gansevoort 600 sq. foot room.

Hope we can make it back there in the future! Would to visit again.

Room Tip: Recommend the third floor, we stayed in room 304 which was PERFECT!!

My wife and I just came back from West Bay Club and let's just say we didn't want to leave. The beach and pool were amazing and full of tons of things to do for free. From snorkeling to kayaking, they have it all. The boys who work on the beach are amazing, they are always smiling, laughing, and willing to take you snailing whenever you like. Charles, Big Sean, Jeffrey, Wildee, and of course William, are the nicest guys we ever met. They make everyone feel like they are the only ones there and treat you like family. Cadet, Joseph, Andre, and the entire staff are also amazing, always running to see what you want and need. The only thing I would change is the prices of drinks at the bar, they were quite expensive. But besides for that, this resort knows how to run their business. Can't wait to go back and see everyone there.

My loving husband was determined to go to Turks and Caicos for our honeymoon. He was able to book our hotel at the West Bay Club in Grace Bay. By far, this is the best location in my opinion on Grace Bay compared to any other parts of the beach. The sand on the beach was white and fine and the water was very clear, clean and different shades of blue-aqua, turquoise & teal. The view of the beach is unreal and looks photo shopped but it is the real deal. The staff at West Bay club was AMAZING! They are very friendly, always greeting you on the resort grounds and always looking for ways to make your stay better.

From the moment we arrived there was always excellence service. At the airport, a shuttle bus greeted us and drove us to the resort. At check in we were greeted with a cool towel, a cold drink and with friendly smiles. During our stay, the ladies at the front desk were very helpful in answering our questions and were able to get us reservations at the Coco Bistro Restaurant.

Thank you to the entire West Bay staff for making our honeymoon memorable!
