I felt as though we had our own private beach and pool. The staff was friendly too! Although a short distance away from the 'nightlife', it was worth it for privacy!

Just returned from an 8 night stay at the West Bay Club with my husband, two children and mother-in-law. We loved it. It was exactly what we were looking for. Everyone was very friendly. The rooms are very large. The kitchen fully equipted. The views are amazing. The beach is beautiful and was never busy. Every morning we enjoyed the complementary breakfast. It was always more than we needed...muffins, bagels, sausage, cereal, banana bread, fruit, and made to order eggs. Each day the guys on the beach would have our five chairs waiting for us with towels and umbrellas. They would get anything we asked for. They even supplied us with complementary water and brought around a tray of watermelon to enjoy. It was so nice being on a beach that was not crowded...especially over "Spring Break." The pool is small but never busy. My kids loved it and most of the time had the entire pool to themselves. If you are looking for a busy place, lots of people, parties, crowded swim up bars, etc. etc., this is not the place for you. If you are looking for relaxation, peace and quiet, you will love it.
I would HIGHLY recommend renting a car if you stay here. It is too far to walk to most of the restaurants and you would miss out on so many things. We loved having the freedom to explore the island and come and go as we please. We rented from Grace Bay Car rentals...they were awesome. They brought the car to the hotel and picked it up for us...how easy is that. If you stay here, I would do your own research on where you want to eat and what you want to do for the week. The girls at the front desk will make reservations for you but there really isn't a "concierge" service. Finally, I read a lot of reviews where people complained about slow service here and at other places on the island. We just called it "island" time. You just need to sit back, relax and enjoy the views.
We hope to return in the future!!!!!

We went to West Bay Club, T&C, over Christmas week last year. The property is lovely. It was pretty quiet for the first few days, then got busier but all very civilized people, no one drunk or wild. It's great for families. The condos are very elegant and spacious. Marble everywhere, excellent kitchen, huge master bath, lovely furnishings - just great. Great ocean view from the balconies - the beach is right in back, clean and fabulous. It's a boutique property, not a mega-resort.

The owners are nice, although no one extended themselves or had much interest in how things were going. The staff is mixed - some were very helpful, others no. Make sure the staff really understands what you've said because otherwise you get a friendly "yes" or "Ok" but some didn't understand a word. One example of many - one day we asked if the cleaning staff would come back in an hour, they said sure, but they didn't and then just left for the day. Even when it was very quiet, you're kind of on your own to resolve any issues.

The food at their very small restaurant is great and the outdoor dining is lovely.

Unless you plan to eat every meal at the Club (small restaurant, very limited menu), you will need a car. We asked before arrival, was told no need for a car because there was shopping nearby but rented one any way. Turns out there is zero shopping and no other restaurants nearby. The grocery stores are great but quite a drive and of course like all islands, food is expensive. The Club has gated parking which was very secure. T&C, outside the resorts, is a very poor island so make sure you know where you're going before you go! And they drive on the left side of the road.

Overall, great value, lovey resort, beautiful beach.

My wife and two teenagers just returned from West Bay Club; overall a good stay. The beach location is very good, plenty of space which is not always the case on Grace Bay. The rooms are well appointed and well maintained; the staff is helpful and pleasant. The beach staff was very good and took good care of the guests. This is a family friendly place not one I would select if it was just my wife and I. The pool is average at best and the restaurant grill is average (food good / service sloooow). Overall a good performance; a solid choice for TCI.

The moment we stepped into our room and looked at the view we knew we made the right choice staying at the West Bay Club. We stayed in a 2 bedroom oceanfront room and it was beautiful, spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and the beach was amazing. There were always plenty of chairs and umbrellas so you didn;t have to get up early to 'reserve" a spot. They also had a sail boat, kayaks, floats, snokels and other toys to ensure the guests had a great time on the beach. We loved WBC and T&C and hope to go back next year.

We love Grace Bay. We stayed as a couple a few years ago and knew we wanted to return with our family. We were happy at the Alexandra, but decided to explore one of the many newer resorts. There are so many great accommodations to choose from and after reading a multitude of reviews and comparing rates and deals we decided on West Bay Club. We were not disappointed. The only issue was proximity to restaurants and grocery stores. We would rent a car next time and not rely on taxis. A heated pool would have made the vacation truly perfect....

My family and I traveled to the West Bay Club during the month of March 2010 and had a fabulous time. The airport was an easy ten minute taxi ride away. The beach was absolutely stunning. It was never crowded since it is located at the quiet end of Grace Bay (we walked the beach toward the rest of the hotels and concluded that West Bay hands down had the best location set away from the overwhelmingly crowded narrow stretch). Our beach in contrast was much wider and quieter and an overall more pleasant experience. At night the resort is very, very quiet, so if you are looking for nightlife this is not the place to be... although it is absolutely perfect for a relaxing tropical vacation.
While in Turks we did a snorkel tour through Turks Dreams Tour (i think that was the name) and despite the rain, had a lovely time-- highly recommended to see the stunning coral reefs! Besides this excursion, we only left the resort to go to dinner and the grocery store once. The restaurants were awesome-- Cocoa Bistro (for pricey food but delicious and beautiful sunset), The Shark Bite (very very casual, more afforable, laid back family atmosphere on the marina), and Hemmingways was our favorite at the Sands Resort (deck overlooking the beach with scrumptious food). We took taxis to all the restaurants and felt very safe, the entire island was cleanest and safest caribbean island we have seen. Lastly but certainly not least, the hotel staff was PHENOMENAL. They took care of everything for us-- whether it was making reservations + taxis, showing us around the resort, the security at night, renting a movie, or setting up chairs on the beach and bringing around water and watermelon.

We feel that on our first time to Turks and Caicos we found the best (other guests were surprised we had found the West Bay Club on our first trip down)...We could not have asked for a better vacation and are already looking to return!!
