Our room had a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was much bigger than I thought it would be. It has great TVs & you can get all the games if you want to watch them :) Easy to get around the area by hotel with a bike. Tiki Hut & Shark Bite restaurants are a quick buke ride and fun to go to.

Our stay at West Bay Club was the best of our Caribbean trips. The hotel was elegant and comfortable and designed more like a home away from home than a regular hotel. West Bay Club was a short bike ride from the Marina and we rode bikes there almost every other day. The citizens were all genuinely happy you were there and always welcomed you with a smile.

My husband and I stayed at West Bay for five nights in August to celebrate our 30th Birthdays! It was exactly what we were looking for! The resort is quiet and very clean. We stayed in a studio room (to save $) and we were very happy with it. The beach is unbelievable and very private. We were able to relax on the beach and near the pool. West Bay provides bicycles, snorkeling gear, rafts and kayaks. We took advantage of it all! We really enjoyed the restaurant at the resort and ate there 2 nights. The romantic dinner on the beach was our favorite! We went to Coyaba one night, but didn't think it was worth the $. If you want a very quiet relaxing vacation, this is the place to go!

I spent 7 days in the Hotel and I really enjoyed it. The accomodations are excellent, well furnished , with all you need for a pleasent stay.
The resort is not so big but very private, there are not noisy people, and you really can relax yourself .
the beach is fantastic , with white sand and peaceful and warm water, and most of all, you can always have your place in great comfort in front of the sea, without been disturbed by vendors and people.

If you want to have a peaceful and relax stay in the caribbean, this is the place to go.

Well, I've never had an entire hotel to myself before. O.K., I'm exagerating a bit - there were probably 4 or 5 other couples in this five storey building with 40+ suites - but it sure felt that way.

The hotel is only about 3 years old, according to the staff, and is kept to exacting standards. Check-in was quick and we were personally escorted to our room. We stayed in room 401, which was the largest hotel room we've ever stayed in. At least 1000 square feet in size, with two separate balconies and two bathrooms, the suite is furnished as would be a condo. A full kitchen is available to cook your own meals, if you wish.

According to the staff, many of the suites are privately owned with only two of the owners living on site. The grounds are kept perfectly clean. There is a beach attendant who sets up your lounges and will bring you complimentary water and watermelon. All the staff we met were very friendly. Many stated that they came from other nations in the Caribbean, and were happy to work in the TCI.

The beach is as good as they say. Possibly the softest sand we've been on. Very clean. No hawkers, per say, though we were approached by two people trying to get us to sign up for various ocean water sports. This end of the beach is about a kilometre away from the main bunch of hotels in Grace Bay. The only nearby hotel is the Ganesvoort next door. That makes it a very quiet area indeed.

The breakfast service is a full sit-down affair at this time of year. Though, we were told that they revert to a buffet during the busier seasons. They will basically make you anything you want, and it was always very good. We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel, as there were many other restaurants that we wanted to try on the island.

Parking is within a locked area, accessible via your room card. Having a car was a necessity to us. Except for the hotel next door, nothing else is within walking distance. Driving is British-standard, so be prepared to drive on the left. If you've never done that before, this is probably a good place to start as traffic is really not that heavy.

We rented from Grace Bay car rentals, a local company. The car was about 10 years old, and obviously second-hand from Japan. But if you can look beyond that, it was clean and reliable and probably US$100 less than the usual rental companies for the week.

There are some very good restaurants on the island. Coco Bistro was excellent. About US$120 for two, incl. wine. Hemingways was also pretty good, with a nice view of the ocean. About the same price.

We made good use of the kitchen in the suite. There is an IGA on the main Leeward Highway. We would suggest the other "Gourmet" supermarket in Grace Bay. Much newer and nicer to shop in.

As for the island itself, there is certainly not much to do. If you want to lay on the beach for a week, it is the perfect place. But, otherwise, shopping is limited and there are no malls. There are no other attractions to speak of to keep kids busy. The island feels like it is on the cusp of development (half the lots on the island seem to be for sale). In ten years there will probably be alot more here. But, for now, it is really quiet there.

Be prepared for a totally "Mickey-mouse" airport right out of the 1960's. It really needs to be replaced if they intend to attract the tourist dollars on which this island depends. The "terminal" is not air conditioned, and the single departure area is wholly inadequate for the 6 or 7 commercial flights during the crush-period on Saturdays. It felt like a sheep pen. The tourist industry really needs to pressure the government to deal with it.

Regardless, if you do chose this island, we have nothing but good things to say about the West Bay Club.

This review is overdue, since we went there in March, but we loved it and are headed back again this fall. The staff was very friendly, the restauarant has good food and the beach is amazing. The units are all beautiful and well maintained, and the whole atmosphere says "relax". Can't say enough good things about West bay Club.

The West Bay Club is an idealic vacation spot. Rooms and facilities are modern and very clean. The pool and courtyard are lovely and well maintained. Grace Bay Beach is pristine!! We enjoyed using the hotel's sailboat and kayaks. Take the kayaks and snorkling gear to the protect coral reef neary by to see colorful fish and plants. The resturant has a nice selection and everything we ordered was delicious. The hotel has a grill near the beach if you choose to prepare your own meals. The staff was friendly and helpful.
