“excellent service & beautiful property”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2011

My husband and I stayed there recently and I must say, all of our expectations were met. It's especially the service that made our stay at this hotel more enjoyable than at other resorts before. We mostly used the pool, and ALL staff was very professional, friendly and ATTENTIVE, always made sure you got all you need. Special thanks to Michael and Joseph, there's nothing they won't be able to do for you. I also have to mention Clarence, so friendly and fast in service! Frontdesk was flawless and fun too. Housekeeping was very good, they even pass by a second time in the evening (during we went out for dinner) to do our bed and leave a little chocolat on the side, which was really sweet. There was a welcoming bottle of wine, and even a second one towards the end of our stay to make sure we enjoy, all flawless!
Bagatelle Bistrot: Breakfast was actually nice & staff friendly, my husband only complained about the quality of the croissants (buy hey, he's french:) and the day couldn't start better with Geraldine greeting us with her welcoming and friendly smile! Lunch at the beachbar was ok, nothing special...Dinner at Bagatelle was not bad either, we enjoyed especially the setting by night and smooth music. Even after having dinner in other resaurants on the island, we always decided to take our night cocktail at their lounge, bar staff are great & fun there too! Mario from the security outside would always give us his friendly advice and information on the island! Thanks.
Only slight negative point is the price of their Spa and items in the gift shop.
And yeah, actually we didn't get our fruit cocktail welcoming drink! :)
All in all, it will be difficult to find another island resort that will make us feel good as Gansevoort T&C! The service really made the difference.

We stayed at the hotel for about 8 nights and loved it. We had an ocean front room and the view was magnificent. The beach was also less crowded ( I felt) and the staff (expecially Jevon) were very nice. Breakfast was included and I thought very adequate for starting the morning, dinner and lunch not so much. Although the best meal we had on the island was when we went fishing and the restaurant cooked out catch... simply delicious. One tip and one we learned on our last day... there is an amazing pizza place that delivers! I can't remember the name, but I am sure that the concierge will be able to help.

The Gansevoort Turks n Caicos, is truly a great escape, only a eight minute ride from the airport, chic accomodations, friendly staff, extremely clean, upscale. The beach is breathtaking, turquoise water, sand is very fine and soft. From the moment you arrive the friendly staff welcomes you and takes care of your every need. The rooms are wonderfully appointed all new, i-pod dock, flat screen t.v.,and wireless internet available throughout the entire property Beds on the beach are heaven! Enjoy dinner at the Bagatelle Bistro, fine cocktails, and service. The breakfast including with your stay is outstanding. Hope you can enjoy soon, we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Oceanfront is truly oceanfront, with balcony.

What a beautiful location with exceptional attention to service!!

The only reason I did not give the Gansevoort a five is because there seemed to be some confusion (consistently through our stay) about what our package included...other than that, this is an amazing resort.

I communicated with concierge several times via email before our stay. The person I corresponded with was incredibly responsive (A plus plus plus). She was wonderful. She was extremely helpful with every single request I had. Her service set the bar extremely high for this hotel and it really lived up to those expectation.

Each and every person we met was incredibly accommodating. The service ... on the beach, at the pool, at the bar, at the front desk ... was fantastic throughout our stay.

I will stay here again!

Thank you to each and every person we encountered at the Gansevoort hotel for making our stay so special.

The hotel is exquisite. The grounds and rooms are so well kept. The staff can't help you enough to ensure the most comfortable stay. The beach is heavenly. The restaurant and spa just add to the perfection. This tops the islands and hotels I have been to. Serenity! Jen

My husband and i spent 10 days at The Gansevoort for our honeymoon last August, and loved it so much we came back for our one year anniversary. We thought maybe because it was our honeymoon, that was why we had the best trip of our lives, but nope, this time around, it was just as magical!

First off, Jean Francois exceeded our expectations and made sure we were taken care of at all times. He made us feel so welcome and special. He is so personable, really listens to what you have to say and takes it to heart, and overall is a great guy. I really feel the efficiency and charm of the hotel has a lot to do with him, he is amazing at what he does, and we will definitely be back in the next few months not only because of the beauty and perfection of this hotel, but also due to how we were treated.

The check-in process was nice and easy, we were greeted with water bottles at the airport and very friendly service. Getting our room was no longer than a 10 min. wait. We were upgraded to a gorgeous suite on the ground floor with a beautiful patio. The rooms are simply amazing....the most comfortable bed with high quality Frette linens, Cutler toiletries, modern decor and clean as can be. Every room has an ocean view i believe, which is a great idea from an architectural perspective. The little things like the loungy house music playing when you first enter your room, to the turn-down service at night with truffles and water bottles waiting for you, to the champagne and fruit that were waiting for us upon arrival, just makes this hotel in a class of it's own. You really do feel like a king or queen here, and it's these nice touches that you don't find at most other hotels.

The ocean and beachfront are incredible. There is a reason why Grace Bay is rated one of the best beaches in the world. To die for turquoise water that i spent most of my days in, the perfect temperature and crystal clear as can be, white powdery sand, super clean, and the most attentive and friendly beach staff ( especially G and Jevon! They definitely made our stay both times). The fact that most staff remembered us from last year really made us feel welcomed and kept up with the intimate vibe of this hotel. The pool is breathtaking and the crisp, modern set-up had not changed at all from how i remembered it. It was busy this time around, i believe it was sold out, so at times it was difficult to get a pool lounger, or for some of the pool staff to keep up with things, but it's to be expected. I guess the word has gotten out about the Gansevoort t&c ;) I love the fact that unlike some other hotels in Miami, etc there isnt astronomical prices to rent pool loungers, $25 isn't bad compared to some hotels i've stayed at. Free internet by the pool/lobby was very convenient.

We ate at Bagatelle for dinner twice, and the second time was much better than the first. The breakfast was wonderful every morning. I've read a lot of not-so-great reviews on this, but really what more do you want for complimentary breakfast? They have everything you could possibly want, and i didnt mind at all that the menu hadn't changed from last year, i was really looking forward to those wonderful omelettes and the chocolate muffins that i've dreamt about for so long! The lunch menu had some additions from last year, and everything was good that we ate. The addition of the boardwalk where now you could eat along it all the way out to the beach, was great.
We also ate at Coco Bistro and Somewhere Cafe which are two of our fave restos on the
island.

The housekeeping staff and also every staff member you passed by were always quick to say hello and greet you with a genuine smile. Every local on this island truly seems to love where they are.

The only negative changes were the fact that Hotel Service charge is added on to everything from your room charge to every food/drink bill, Bagatelle not being as great as i remember it for dinner, and one of my fave memories of The Gansevoort,Gigi the Gansevoort cat isnt there anymore due to some people's complaints:(

All in all, this hotel is in a calibre of it's own, definitely the best hotel on the island. I probably wouldn't go back to Turks and Caicos if the Gansevoort wasn't around. We travel frequently, and most of the time to tropical/beach destinations, and this hotel is at the top of our list, probably the only place that we could keep coming back to again and again. The little touches that the staff did to accomodate you and make you feel special were really what makes The Gansevoort one of a kind, I can't wait to come back in the next few months, and also bring my family and friends in the future to show them the beauty and class of The Gansevoort T&C!

This boutique hotel was beyond all expectations and the beauty of the hotel and the island was unbelievable! We have travelled a lot and this hotel was the perfect getaway for a week of peace and quiet for a couple! The staff was superb, and all the amenities were truly wonderful and we will definitely encourage our friends to stay at Gansevoort!

Room Tip: We had a lovely oceanfront room, and when they say oceanfront-they really mean it-you hear the crash...
