We took a group of hard working New Yorkers who are used to excellent service every where we go. Two months before we scheduled this MASS trip with people coming from different states and areas. We received some great information from lifestyle expert Anne Marie-Martinez who heads up the Concierge at the Gansevoort Turks & Caicos location. She told us about a weekend series called "The Fabulous Life" which entailed a weekend full of great activities.....and here is my re-cap of the week.

Friday: We had a huge dinner at bagatelle which is located in the hotel and it was amazing! The chef brought out some amazing dishes and the ambiance was extremely romantic but still upbeat.

After the dinner the PARTY began! Our buddy DJ CEO spun classics, progressive formats ALL night and people from all over the world were literally sweating and dancing. We got bottle service and it wasn't obnoxious or pretentious at all. The service was AMAZING and the staff kept the ice cold. Anne walked us through the entire process and even came to party with us.

Saturday: We had a great Moroccan dinner at a near by restaurant called Lemon which was really good but all we wanted to do was get back to The Gansevoort which started to feel like home away from home. The staff started to feel like family! We got back to our amazing suite and let the night air flow through the room

Sunday: This had to be one one of the BEST days of my life! Anne Marie-MArtinze chartered a yacht for us which was very affordable. She booked 3 great deejays from DJ DALLAS, DJ CEO and DJ MARK KING.....we had unlimited rum, danced the entire way and docked on a private island. There is no better feeling then partying with friends and cool people on a private island as yacht awaits to take you back to your Swagged out hotel suite. Pleeeease listen to Anne on the yacht thingy! lol

We cam back to out hotel suite and ordered bottle service...and partied!

The Hotel Gansevoort Staff was by far the most helpful and polite and Anne Marie Martinez gave us MAGIC! The only downside was having to leave.

If you go to Hotel Gansevoort ASK FOR ANNE MARIE MARTINEZ from the One Group.....she made this a memorable experience.

Shout out to

I had the pleasure of spending 7 beautiful nights on this property. The rooms are spotless and modern. The wifi works everywhere, even on the beach. Good selection of television channels to watch. I read some bad reviews about service but I did not see any of that. As a matter of fact they really went out of there way to pamper you. There were also plenty of beach chairs and pool lounges. There were no plastic chairs by the pool. My AC broke in the room and they switched my room the next day to a better one. We had some maintenance issues with the room but they were taken care of quickly. The food is pricey.Bagatelle was a bit of a disappointment. The one thing I think the hotel must change is the policy where they charge you an extra 10% hotel tax on everything. The staff does not like this policy either. It is affecting there tips.Beach was great and the pool was relaxing. A bit small with no swim up bar but that really did not matter to me. I was there to rest and that we did.Great for couples , I would not bring my kids here. Its a bit quiet.Dont worry about the negative reviews. Those people must be NUTS!

Gansevoort Turks & Caicos is exactly what I wanted in a vacation: short drive from the airport; proximity from lobby to rooms, pool, and beach; beautiful scenery; gorgeous rooms, and great service. The Gansevoort is able to maintain its high-end chic personality from its NYC-sister hotels, while incorporating the tropical ambience and pace desired in a vacation. Its hotel is located in Providenciales, which hosts the world's 3rd largest barrier reef and some of the world's best beaches. Without a doubt, a repeat destination!

We arrived at the Gansevoort after a horrible one- day stay at The Ocean Club. The hotel, amenities, room and staff are superb and thankfully has been a wonderful vacation even with Hurricane Irene on its way. The hotel staff is well prepared and thankful that I'm not riding the storm at the Ocean Club. The rooms are clean, the property is spectacular and high it the highest rating. We will be back for sure.

Room Tip: Every room is fantastic

My boyfriend and I just spent 8 nights at the Gansevoort T&C, and we cannot wait to get back there again. It was our first trip to Turks & Caicos, and even though the Gansevoort wasn't perfect, we can't imagine staying anywhere else in Provo.

The setting itself is beautiful-- we felt like we were in a dream. The beach is wide, the sand white and soft, and the warm water lapped gently on the shore. If you like to snorkel, the location is perfect as you are within walking distance of excellent snorkeling (in both directions). If you don't feel like lugging your gear with you to the island, the Gansevoort has fins, masks and snorkels that you can use. They also have kayaks (one or two person) and paddle boards with adjustable-length paddles. The beach includes the option of renting the typical lounge chairs/umbrellas or beach beds. We rented a beach bed for most of the days of our vacation, and I'm so glad we did. If you enjoy reading on the beach, and especially if you enjoy shade during part or all of the day, the beach bed is a must-have.

As for the hotel itself, we loved our ocean-front room and we would never stay in one of the rooms that's not beach-front (the views from those rooms are obstructed and only allow for very limited beach views, if any). The room was spacious, and the terrace with chaise was also roomy. To ensure perfect sleeping conditions at night, automated curtains cover the the terrace doors with the push of a button. The shower is huge and has an enormous rain-shower head. The hotel is new (less than 3 years) and felt pristine and clean at all times. The housekeeping staff were friendly, kind, and did a beautiful job.

The pool is incredible and offers comfortable chaise lounges (first come, first served) as well as reservable 'islands' that sit towards the middle of the pool. Service at the pool was not as attentive as I expected.... we were rarely asked whether we wanted to order food or drink. In general the staff at the hotel seemed to not really care if you needed or wanted something, and often they gave the impression that they were doing us a favor by even speaking to us. There were exceptions to this (Jevon at the beach is outstanding, and so were a couple of the beach waiters) but overall the laid-back island attitude prevailed. I like the idea of being on island time but in practice it came across not as 'island time' but as 'I don't give a crap about what you want'. I'm probably being too harsh but I really expected more, particularly considering what we were paying to stay at this hotel. The lack of hospitality will definitely not prevent us from staying here again, but my expectations will be appropriately lowered on our next trip.

We never ate at the hotel restaurant at night, but we had breakfast there every morning (buffet included in the price of the stay). The food was fine but nothing extraordinary. The same dishes were served each of the 7 days we dined there, so by day 4 or so I was pretty tired of the options. Also, the staff working during breakfast are particularly apathetic.

If you're looking for a beautiful, clean, trendy, romantic island getaway, the Gansevoort is a great option. The view, the rooms, and the location will make up for what you won't get in customer service.

Room Tip: Beach-front rooms have amazing views and terraces. 'Spa rooms' often have views but have no...
