“Paradise could'nt be better!!!”
Reviewed 19 March 2012

As you enter the reception lobby, the pampering begins. Rum punch, cold cloth, warm greetings from the staff---the vacation has begun. The goal: is to pamper and insure each guest enjoys the paradise of T & C. Beaches are raked every morning, sand is like silk. Pool & beach staff are eager to please, Evan and Cordell especially. Want something? Just ask.
Buffet breakfast each morning includes anything you desire. Junie brings our favorites to the table as we arrive. Shirleen makes a great omelet, Renaldo and Leola walk to see if you are pleased. Ajay oversees all the restaurants--- great job. Rooms are large and housekeeping is most efficient. Just leave a note and they respond. The staff is most professional, obviously very well trained. BUT, to insure all is well, Anthony Johnson and Thierry (GM) stroll the grounds, Just to be Sure!!! There is no better place. Can't wait for our return.

My wife and I just returned from a week at the Grace Bay Club. What a truly amazing vacation! The resort is beautiful, the food, is great, and the service is outstanding. Turks and Caicos is a great place to visit.

Our visit started off a bit challenging as the Turks and Caicos airport had closed down just as we were about to take off due to a strike by the airport Fire and Rescue crews. Luckily the problem was fixed within two hours and we took off from Boston. The only problem is that when we landed, the airport was complete pandemonium as several planes landed at once and it is a very small airport. Likewise when we left, the security line was 90 minutes long (so follow the airline's advice and arrive for your return flight 3 hours early). Getting out of the airport upon arrival was equally challenging in terms of getting a cab (although the hotel did a reasonably good job of getting us into a taxi - but we had to wait at the cab stand around 30 minutes which after 40 minutes of waiting for luggage and a two hour delay for the airport to reopen was frustrating to say the least).

The check in process upon arrival was great. You are seated in the reception area and all of the paperwork is taken care of for you. You are also given Rum Punch (which was definitely needed after that trip). Your personal concierge meets you at reception and gives you a tour of the property and gets you settled into your room. One really terrific feature is that they give each guest a cellphone which connects you directly with your personal concierge (and by the way - there are two personal concierges for each guest who tag team to make sure that you have full coverage). Anytime you need anything, you pull out the cellphone that they give you and just push send and you are directly connected and everything is taken care of for you. An outstanding service!

Our first room was very nice but on the ground floor so absolutely no view. When we asked about moving to another room, they didn't have anything available that night, but offered to move us the next day (which was fine by us). The second room they gave us was on a higher floor and had a terrific view. We greatly appreciated that they were willing to move us and made it so easy.

In addition to being a beautiful property, it has to be one of the most spectacular stretches of beach that we have seen anywhere (and we have been to a lot of very nice resorts). Well manicured, with lots of frontage and extremely comfortable beach chairs with nice umbrellas for shade (which you definitely need).

The food at the resort was very good and there are some terrific restaurants nearby (and easy to get to). We liked the fact that we could have some variety (instead of eating in the same few restaurants the entire trip). The service at the restaurants and throughout the resort was A++. When we arrived we had a chance to meet the general manager who we saw several times during our trip. He (and his staff) understand that a great vacation is about both a nice property and wonderful service. I would put their service level at or above any Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons. All of the management staff (at the restaurants, front desk and overall) know that it is about making the guests happy. Likewise the rank and file staff as well.

Turks and Caicos is an easy place to visit because of direct flights. The US Dollar is the official currency and English is the official language.

I would highly recommend the Grace Bay Club and would return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Stay in the hotel portion of the property if you are not traveling with children (and don't want...

Grace Bay Club is an amazing hotel with an excellent location, superb staff, and five star accommodations. I want to thank Boda! Gifford, Ricky, Franklin, Jean and Chrissy for going out of their way to make our stay picture perfect!!! Thierry, the GM, deserves the ultimate credit for running such a flawless operation!

First order of business is to choose your room location. There are the Villas (family friendly), the Hotel (adult only pool) and The Estates (exclusive like a Club Level in a hotel but without the 5 food services).

The Villas are nice with a swim up pool bar and are the closest walk to breakfast, but remember that breakfast is included in the price. You may have it as room service so the walk from The Estates (being the furthest) to breakfast, is unnecessary unless you choose to do it.

The Hotel is in the middle with a beautiful see thru infinity pool. It is adult only.

The Estates have their own entrance and while Estate guests can use all facilities on property, Hotel and Villa guests cannot use Estate facilities such as the pool or restaurant. We stayed in a ground level room in The Estates and even with the room being ground level, we had a water view. The room was modern in decor, very spacious, lovely bathroom and they provided a Nespresso machine, teapot, and coffee maker. Water bottles were always available and were free. We had a beautiful pool (I read a guest's review who complained about the pools being very small, but this is not Atlantis, it is a refined elegant hotel and the pools match the ambiance the property is trying to convey. If you want monstrous pools, go to Beaches with the all-inclusive mentality.) just the right size, not too big, not too small.

We had no housekeeping issues as discussed in other reviews.

You will have two Concierge assigned to you. Ours were Boda and Gifford and they took care of every dinner reservation, taxi, airport transfer and just about anything else we needed. Can't say enough about the staff, they were all so kind. I do not understand some of the reviews that say they were unorganized. Ours were sheer perfection!

The Infinity Bar is a must for cocktails as you watch one amazing sunset after another.

I recommend the following off property restaurants should you venture out; Old Soleil, Magnolia (desserts to have here are the Banoffee Tart and the Lemon Brûlée Tart), and Parallel 23. Lobster on the island is a must! And if you go before Summer and go to Magnolia, take a light jacket ladies, it can be chilly.

The shop at Grace Bay has a lot of cute items so check it out! The workout room is not large but there are plenty of treadmills, you won't wait for one. They have most machines available at home.

Grace Bay is five star service in a five star location!

Room Tip: I would choose the estates on second or third level. If you like walking straight out of your room...

Coming from Las Vegas, a city which prides itself on its hospitality and service, we cannot compliment enough the level of service we received during our week at the Grace Bay Club. There is nothing we could think of that was not provided for us...from the wonderful recommendations/reservations made for us by our concierges, Kenny and Godfrey, at all the finest restaurants in the area, to the wonderful hospitality provided by the food and beverage staff led by Ajay Vyas. Breakfast each morning served by Ruth-Marie and her warm smile followed by lounge chairs on the beach with Jerry providing anything/everything you may want or need throughout the day. Their attention to detail is unsurpassed in every aspect of the resort...the wonderful spa staff was outstanding and attentive as well. Thank you so much for your kind treatment and even going to the pharmacy to get some much needed remedies for an unexpected Sun Rash! We will go back again and again and hope to see everyone there each time we go! Thank you for everything...Norman and Melissa

Room Tip: The Corner Suites in the Villas are spacious and comfortable and will satisfy all your needs!

My husband, daughter ( age 5), just returned from 5 nights at grace bay club. We were returning guests and left a bit disappointed. The good stuff- the estates rooms are beautiful, everyone is very friendly. And we loved kids town. They do an amazing job with the kids.
The front desk, and butlers are a bit disorganized. Last year when you stayed in the estates, laundry was complimentary. This year we returned lightly packed to learn it was a fee service. However, in our rooms the information book still said it was complimentary. Either way it should be consistent. When we explained that it was posted in the room, they did not honor it. Also, when we arrived we had a note saying we had a $100 credit, because we had used a travel agency. We hadnt used the travel agency which is fine and they rescinded the credit - oops. Just more disorganization. Regarding reservations for dinner, we would have to remind them to check on a reservation and they seemed to not recommend the coco bistro which was one of the highest rated in trip advisor. The food was not amazing. I agree with other reviewers that it is outrageous and too heavy. They need a happy hour or something a little more fun at their bars. All in all we had a good time.

Dear Guest,

We are happy that you enjoyed your room, the friendliness of our staff and our Kids
Town program. Thank you for taking the time to relay your disappointment with our
Concierge and Front Office during your recent visit to Grace Bay Club. Unfortunately,
we fell short of our service goals and your expectations. For this I apologize.
We are terribly sorry for the service issues you experienced during your recent visit
with us. There is no excuse for the service you experienced. It is not the Grace Bay
Club standard and it is unacceptable. We have posted the $200.00 resort credit which is
extended to our repeat guests on their second visit. The laundry service is no longer
complementary however due to our error on the printed material in our rooms we
have refunded the cost.

Regarding Coco Bistro, as you know it is a very popular restaurant and it is sometimes
difficult to get reservations there. Our Concierge tried to get a reservation for you and
unfortunately they were fully committed for the date requested. Luckily you were able
to get a table there as you walked in and they sometimes accommodate walk-ins as
guests may have cancelled or did not show during that time. You mentioned the food
being heavy and we believe that you were referring to Coco Bistro as we have not had
any reviews or comments of that nature for any of our restaurants.
Your comments have been forwarded to the appropriate managers and staff for review
and action. I can assure you that what you experienced was the exception and not the
rule, as you know from your previous visit and can see in other Trip Advisor comments,
we always strive for the best. Our service goals are to anticipate guest needs and to be
responsive to those needs on a timely basis.

We value you as a guest and welcome the opportunity to serve you again.
Thoughtful feedback is a gift and we thank you for your input. We do hope that you will
return to Grace Bay Club at some time in the future.

Warm regards,

Thierry Grandsire

The Grace Bay Club is a 5 Star Resort without the 5 Star Stuffiness .... your on Vacation, not interviewing a new Butler. With that said, they will provide, and did, anything for the asking and are at your beck-and-call!

Room Tip: All rooms have an Ocean View but, rooms / suites in the middle of each unit have better views.
