Grace Bay Club was perfect in every single way for our 15-year Anniversary trip. If you are looking for a resort that has top notch service, luxury accommodations with a pristine beach, this is your place.

We stayed in The Hotel (adult only building) in a luxury one bedroom suite. We stayed on the ground floor, just behind the adult pool and just behind the hot tub. It was so convenient to step right out and be steps away from the beach/pool area. Noise was not an issue at all.

Staff: The staff at Grace Bay Club were top notch. From the time we arrived for check-in we were greeted with open arms and delicious rum punch. We were assigned two concierge staff members, Franklyn & Jasmine. We were given a cell phone for our stay which called Franklyn & Jasmine for anything we needed at all. Words can't even express how happy we were with their service.

Beach: The beach is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The sand was soft, powdery, and clean. The ocean was as clear as a swimming pool and so calm we floated for hours. The only thing I could see done better with the beach is for the staff to arrange the chairs in something other than a straight line. Although the chairs had a few feet in between the chairs beside us, it still felt a little close and less intimate. It would be nice if they could stagger them forward and back or provide more space in between.

Pool: We utilized the adult pool the entire stay. It was never crowded and pool chairs were extremely comfortable. There is always someone poolside and beachside that will help with chair set up.

Drinks: All of the bars were fantastic and every mixed drink we tried was fantastic and strong. The drinks are expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Breakfast: This was included in our stay and was perfect every morning. The breakfast bar offered a full selection buffet and menu to order from. We did buffet every single morning b/c it was fully loaded with everything one could imagine. I did hear from other guest as well that the omelets by order were fantastic.

Lunch: We purchased lunch on the beach at a restaurant called STIX. Although the food was fantastic, we waited over an hour. During the wait enjoyed drinks while overlooking the ocean. This venue was very expensive considering the amount of food one received and the time it took to be prepared. Having said that, we took our bikes in to town and loaded up on sandwich fixings and the islands local brew called Turtles Head, which I highly recommend.

Dinner: We ate on property the entire stay except for twice.
On property: Grill Rouge, Anacaona, and Krave were all fantastic. Every meal we ordered was perfection. The atmosphere was wonderful as well, all outdoors and beachside.
Off property: Coco Bistro: Set within a large Palm Grove, something unique to experience. The food was some of the best that we have ever had. Service was top notch. Make reservations ahead of time as this does book up. We also dined at Mango Reef at Alexandra Resort. This was a beautiful setting sitting on the deck over looking the ocean. I would say the service wasn't quite as up to par as our other dining experiences but the food was good and the atmosphere made it worth the experience. I would suggest Sunset for the full experience.

I would would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or anyone looking for a family vacation. Although we stayed in the adult resort area, we did see the family pool and see small kids on the beach. The resort is very accommodating for families as well, and does a good job of keeping it intimate for those traveling without children.

If you are looking for the perfect Caribbean vacation, then look no further!

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with unbelievable customer service! The resort is beautiful from all aspects, the grounds are kept clean, the rooms spacey and modern but cozy. Upon arrival we received a welcome from the GM, an amazing late night meal sent from Wolfgang (the Executive Director of F&B) making the first few hours unforgettable.

The beach is spectacular! White, soft sand, beautiful turquoise water... If you think the photos are pretty, you must experience the real deal, breathtaking!!!

A special thank you to Wolfgang von Wieser for his over the top and wonderful service, every meal was full of flavor and deliciousness, his ability to make you feel special is amazing.

Entire staff very friendly... A must to visit Grace Bay Club, you will not be disappointed!

The Grace Bay Club is definitely one of the best hotels in the Caribbean. We really enjoyed our stay and the concierges Kenny and Godfrey really made our stay special. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in the B building which was great because we got Kenny and Godfrey as our Concierge. Well...

My girlfriend and I spent a very enjoyable five days and four nights at the Grace Bay Club the last part of October. With the exception of the newer seven story “Estates” development on the east side of the resort, the Grace Bay Club is a lovely low-rise complex that blends-in beautifully with its natural surroundings. Grace Bay Club’s “Estates” notwithstanding, most Grace Bay resorts seem to abide by a code of honor (or local building code) that limits buildings to three or four stories.

The notable exception is the Seven Stars resort to the west of Grace Bay Club which is a vulgar seven story eyesore completely out of character with the otherwise beautiful, natural and pristine beach. A taxi driver told us that some local authorities responsible for approving the Seven Stars development are currently serving jail time for corruption and that “British officials prevented the developer from finishing the other four towers” – thank goodness as that would have been an aesthetic catastrophe.

The check-in process seemed a little disorganized but all the resort employees we interacted with were extremely cheerful, pleasant and eager to be helpful. In fact, we were somewhat overwhelmed at times by how much attention we received from cheerful staff members eager to make sure all was well with our stay.

We had a concierge assigned to us who gave us a resort-issue cell phone with his number programmed into it and made it clear that we were to call on him as any time if we wanted or needed anything – reservations, information on activities at the resort or on the Island, etc. In fact, he called us every now and then just to make sure we were not in need of anything – I’ve never seen this before and was extremely impressed.

With respect to our room, when I made the reservation, I was very clear that I expected and was willing to pay for a ground level, ocean front one bedroom suite. I was told that they would try to accommodate us based on availability at check-in. But when we checked-in, we learned that we had a second level suite (A208) in the “hotel” part of the resort. The room was spacious but with furniture/furnishing that was sparse and tired. Having learned later that the resort was only 45% full, we were a bit annoyed to have not gotten the exact room type we requested. We loved the large outdoor patio off of the bedroom and the living room, though, and particularly enjoyed the oceanfront view. And, we came to appreciate being on the second level due to the privacy this afforded us on the patio.

The beach was incredible – wide with soft white/pink sand and classic beautiful, clear and warm Caribbean water. Because most of the resorts are low or mid-rise buildings, the beach was uncrowded which was a nice contrast to Grand Cayman’s famed Seven Mile Beach, for example, which has become overbuilt and is starting to feel like Miami Beach.

The most appealing aspect of the beach is the total lack of jet skis and wave runners which have ruined other beaches in the Caribbean like Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach. I suspect that they have wisely been outlawed by local authorities. Having been to other places in the Caribbean where authorities and resort managers have capitulated to the fossil fuel-addicted crowd, we are all too familiar with how jet skis and the people who operate them can destroy the character of an otherwise safe, peaceful and beautiful waterfront. As far as we could determine, these insidious machines have been completely banned in Turks and Caicos which, for us, is reason enough to return .

Another delightful surprise was the total lack of cruise ships. There did not appear to be any cruise ship ports anywhere near Grace Bay. This thrilled us given that on those occasions when we’ve been to Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach it is not uncommon for three cruise ships to pull-up and unload which really dumbs down the place – not to mention all the wear and tear thousands of “resort course” divers from cruise ships have on the reefs.

On the negative side, most of the resorts have put ugly patchworks of floats and buoys out in the water. Presumably they have done this to prevent swimmers from being run over which, given the absence of jet skis and wave runners made no sense to me as I can’t recall ever hearing of a swimmer being run over by a paddle boarder or kayaker. Speaking of paddle boards and kayaks, Grace Bay Club has a full array of non-motorized (thank goodness) beach toys including resort-style Hobie Cats that are available to guests at no charge.

The on-site Anacaona restaurant gets good marks in travel guides but, after having dinner at the beach grill the first night and overpaying for tiny portions, we canceled our subsequent reservation at Anacaona and decided to head off property for most meals. Breakfast, on the other hand, is included in the room rate and it is a generous buffet-style spread which we decided takes a bit of the edge off of the prices for dinner on property.

One of our favorite little places for lunch and dinner within a short walk on the beach from the Grace Bay Club is Pelican Bay Restaurant and bar which is affiliated with the adjacent condominium complex. Pelican Bay is a five minute walk along the beach to the east.

The bar area was really cozy and fun in the evening with great lighting and comfortable chairs and couches arranged around some fire pits. We hung-out at the Infiniti bar two at night and enjoyed some live music and dancing. We especially appreciated the music because, despite what we were told, live bands seemed few and far between this time of year in the resort lounges up and down the beach.

Speaking of bars, Club Med Turquoise is about a quarter mile to the east and there were a few nights when we could hear the droning and annoying “club” music that reminded us of a drunken spring break frat party on Cancun. Too bad there aren’t more restrictive noise restrictions.

All in all, we had a fabulous time and can’t wait to return.

Room Tip: Our suite (A208) was in the "hotel" section of the property. The decor and furniture were...

My husband and I spent a week at Grace Bay Club in late September/early October to celebrate our anniversary. While the resort facilities and beach are beautiful, we experienced significant service issues during our stay.

First, the good: Grace bay beach is gorgeous. The rooms and suites are the hotel are spacious, modern and clean, and every room has an ocean view.

The bad: Before our arrival we were asked to fill out a pre-arrival form that included our flight details, information about the purpose of our trip, preferences, etc. We sent it in promptly, but we still received a voice mail the day prior to our arrival asking about our flight details. We resent the email and called the resort, but never heard back. We were left wondering if we would be met at the airport the next day. After we arrived at the resort and were checking in, we were asked for a third time about our flight details so they could arrange our trip back to the airport. We were then asked a fourth time prior to our departure.

There was a major construction project going on during our stay. The incessant drilling was so loud that you could hear it even when swimming in the ocean, walking down the beach to another resort, eating in the restaurants, and even in the room. I understand that these things need to be taken care of during the off season, but it would have been nice to have been warned about this very significant disruption which, when active (which was frequently) destroyed the peaceful ambiance of the resort.

Beach service was good when it was there, but several days it was as if no one was working at the pool and/or beach. Not only that, but there weren't any towels left out so we could set up our chairs on our own. One day, a security guard had to track down a towel for me after I walked up and down the beach and to both pools trying to find an employee to help me.

Maid service: Every day, the maid would take away all our hand towels (regardless of whether they were hanging or on the floor) and not replace them. This continue after we called about it. Several times, they would come too early for turn down service, we would indicate we were leaving shortly for dinner and could they please come back, and they never returned. It was almost like they just checked the box that they tried, but then didn't bother to actually follow through and clean the room when specifically requested.

Food service: We stayed during low season and the resort was not crowded. Despite this, service at breakfast was painfully slow and it was often difficult to get the attention of our waiter/waitress to request a check (for their tip since breakfast is included in the room price). The one time we ordered room service, our drinks came without alcohol (the server returned 20 minutes later with a shot to pour in) and there were no condiments for our sandwiches and fries.

I realize some of these things sound like small issues, but added together and taking into account that this resort bills itself as a world class hotel (with prices to match), the service should have been MUCH better. This is a beautiful resort and gets great reviews, so maybe our experience was an anomaly and we just got extremely unlucky. Either way, we were very disappointed.

While it was certainly nice to have someone to call via cellphone at any time (and he was very nice and helpful), unfortunately almost none of the issues described above were ones that he could have helped with.

In line with the rest of our experience, on the last day we spent time filling out a review form, but they appear not to have read it because a couple weeks later we were asked to fill out an online review of the same nature. This last slight only added insult to injury, so instead of filling out yet another form which the resort is unlikely to read, it seemed a review in this forum seemed more appropriate.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to relay your disappointment with your recent visit to Grace Bay Club. Every guest’s experience is important to us as we strive for the finest in service and facilities. Unfortunately, during your stay, we apparently fell short of our goals and your expectations. For this I apologize.

I understand your level of disappointment from the points you mentioned in your correspondence. I express my profound regrets for these incidents, they are indeed totally unacceptable and certainly not the Grace Bay Club standard as you can see from the number of positive TripAdvisor reviews. Your comments have been forwarded to the appropriate managers for review and corrective action.

In regards to the comment card, every guest receives a comment request form prior to departing Grace Bay Club. We do this as some guests prefer to give us feedback right away while others may prefer to not disclose their email address making a manual comment card the only option to provide feedback. The electronic version of this comment card is sent to all guests via our booking system post departure. It is an important tool for us to measure our performance as it automatically gathers the information and systematically updates us regarding guest feedback. Electronic surveys are essential for tracking Year-To-Date performance levels of all departments which is impossible to do strictly using manual comment request forms.

Rest assured that I personally read every hand written comment card and I also reply to every electronic survey. I understand you point of view and I apologize that receiving two comment surveys forms was an inconvenience.

Thoughtful feedback is a gift and we thank you for your input. We do hope that you will return to Grace Bay Club at some time in the future.

Warm regards,

Thierry Grandsire

My wife and I celebrated our Honeymoon at the Grace Bay Club. Needless to say, it could not have been more perfect…it was like a movie…almost unreal. Luckily for us, it was… From the moment we arrived at the GB Club, and received the "welcome home" greeting by the staff, we knew we were in for a treat. The room was fantastic…clean, comfortable, and visually amazing…but it was tough to spend too much time in the room, as the grounds of the GB Club are spectacular. Our Concierge(s) Boda and Willa were professional, personable, and knowledgeable...we even met another Concierge that was so willing to help...Berg was his name...These same statements go for everyone employed at the GB Club...from the beach assistants / guides... (be sure to ask for Calvin...amazing young man) to the bartenders (again, say hi to Peter and Jonathan for us...) and the staff of the restaurants, spa, etc...My wife and I were never disappointed by the food, beverages, and services at the hotel. More importantly, we were never disappointed by the recommendations for the staff. A great recommendation by the staff was to take one of the complimentary bikes and tour the island…a great way to see this amazing place! Finally, the beach...we walked many miles on the beach and I am sure that there is no comparison to the beachfront at the GB Club. Whether swimming in front of GB Club, relaxing in a beach chair, or sitting by the pools…you will not be disappointed. If you are considering Providenciales, the GB Club is worth every penny. My wife and I are already planning our return.

My wife and I spent our anniversary here and it was one of the best places to visit in the Caribbean. The staff at Grace Bay are extremely attentive, detailed oriented and down to earth. Our personal concierge, Kenny, was fabulous and the pool bar bartender, Pauline, was the best. The resort knows how to cater to your every need and guarantee you have an excellent time.
