“Best Beach! Google it!”
Reviewed 1 March 2014 via mobile

Google "World's Best Beaches" and see Turks and Caicos come up over and over again! Grace Bay is ON the beach! The hotel is beautiful and quiet! The beach is practically all yours, and the sand feels like talcum powder!
You can't go wrong in a visit here!

Grace Bay Club is on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. But the real difference is in the quality of the facilities and staff. You could not find a more perfect bar/restaurant area and the variety of activities is superb. You also have your own Concierge who makes reservations and. more for you and is great for recommendations of other restaurants to go to etc.. The General Manager, Thierry Grandsire, is always available and manages by walking around which I presume keeps the staff on their toes. The Chefs are able to deal with allergy situations and our two grandkids with Celiac never had a problem and never ate so well. We have already reserved for next year.

Grace Bay Club is a very nice place to relax and enjoy the white beaches that are not spoiled (yet) by mass tourism. The people working at the hotel are super friendly and will take care of all your needs and make you feel at home. The fridge is fully stocked with water bottles for your convenience, the guys at the pool ( Wisny, Amado, Cordel and Mark) are making your beach day very pleasant. Vernon and Hudson were the guys attending my every need at just any given time. This place is heaven on earth.

I just got back from my second trip to the Estates at Grace Bay Club - Provo, Turks & Caicos and cannot say enough. It really is paradise. Gorgeous setting, beautiful suites, fabulous food & drinks, outstanding beach, turquoise water but the best part of Grace Bay Club are the staff. Cannot say enough good things about them. They all remembered me from my first visit last year. Emmanual, Garth, Andre, Tannisha, Gregory, Calvin, Remi, Boda and all of the others who's names I just can't remember at the moment. I can't wait until next February for my third trip. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Great facility, rooms, beach, pools, services, fitness centre, spa, food. All the staff are friendly and responsive. They assign personal concierges to look after and follow up on bookings, appointments, transportation, any special requests ... I requested and they delivered a TV outdoors for the Sunday 7:00am morning Canada/Sweden Gold Medal Olympic hockey game so we enjoyed breakfast, the outdoors and the best game of the year at the same time. Special recognition to Vernon and Hudson our personal concierges. We'll be back.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the main floor with a beach view. We were at the east end which was a little quieter as...

My wife and I traveled here with our two young children. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with kitchen. It was a beautiful suite and had everything. We were not disappointed with the room or the beach or the staff. I was taken back a bit when we first arrived because I was expecting a full service hotel. The prior year we stayed at the Ritz-carton in St Thomas, an example of a full service hotel. The Grace Bay Club is a bit quiet in comparison and has only one place to eat. The pool is smaller as well. Still we would definitely return. To make up for the solitude of the Grace Bay Club we rented a car for two days and walked to a nearby hotel. We also noticed that many of the establishments on this island are not full service hotels but condos/hotel mixes.

We stayed recently and enjoyed it. The beach is beautiful and the property is adequate.
BUT....
Our travel agent had pitched this property to us on par with a Four Seasons and that it is not. It could all use a coat of paint and a bit of an update. Little things like running out of beach towels every day by 1 pm and offering aged tennis racquets with ruined grips accompanied by a sleeve of flat tennis balls missed the mark. There is also something of a miss-match with the pre-arrival concierge and the onsite info. For one example we asked if there was yoga and were told no, but one morning we saw in the newsletter that there had been a class that morning at 8 but we'd missed it. There does seem to be a high staff to guest ratio and staff does seem desirous of trying their very best but sometimes they are just flummoxed. For example, we ordered at the family pool three lunches and they were taking a long time to come (40 min+). I checked with the server who said she'd just checked the kitchen and they were moments away. Tenish minutes later she came and sadly said she could give us our daughter's quesadilla but they were now out of shrimp so the other two meals were a no go. (Strangely the quesadilla had shrimp which we had not requested). We went on to share our daughter's meal. 10 minutes later waitress sheepishly and apologetically returned with our two meals and said there had been a mistake? Wacky. We also had a massage at the spa and the level is low. Not the massage itself but the facility. For example, he was told to come early to use the facilities but there was only a steam room or sauna (can't recall) and it was out of order. Smallest spa we'd ever seen in terms of offerings other than menu items. I think everything about the hotel is more or less fine with some quirks that we just weren't thrilled about. Management of expectations may be in order depending on what type of hotels you normally frequent.

Room Tip: Some have kitchens. Some have ocean views.

Dear Guest,

We are happy that you enjoyed your recent stay with us and thank you for taking the time to write a review via TripAdvisor.

Every guest’s experience is important to us as we strive for the finest in service and facilities. Unfortunately, during your stay, we apparently fell short of our goals and your expectations. For this I apologize.

There is no excuse for the service issues you encountered. It is completely unacceptable and not the Grace Bay Club standard our guests are accustomed to. I can assure you that what you experienced was the exception and not the rule, as you can see in other TripAdvisor comments, we always strive for the best. Our service goals are to anticipate guests’ needs and to be responsive to those needs on a timely basis.

I have forwarded your comments to the appropriate managers and staff for review and action.

Thoughtful feedback is a gift and we thank you for your input. We value you as a guest and welcome the opportunity to serve you again at some time in the future.

Warm regards,

Thierry Grandsire
