“Fabulous wedding and honeymoon”
Reviewed 17 March 2010

We just got back from staying 10 glorius days at Grace Bay Club and our children joined us for five days. We got married Feb. 27th and I did not have to do a thing. They upgraded our room, we were picked up by limo as were our children, Shameka was the best wedding planner from start to finish. Marvin and Boda were our concierges and they were fantastic with any reservation. They found us somewhere during the day to check in. The breakfast was great, from a buffet to ordering whatever you wanted. We had fresh flowers, fruit and bottled water in our room everyday. They served sorbet in the morning on the beach, a cold wet floral towel and fruit kabobs in the afternoon. They moved chairs and covered them wherever you wanted. Everyone was friendly, and the service was the best I have ever experienced. Our wedding day was the best even though the sun was not shining. From the beach set-up to the flowers to the photos and the dinner on the beach. It was more than we expected. I suppose if you expect too much or you have a negative attitude you may not have the best experience wherever you go. Caicos Dream Tours was the best boat tour to rent with Shawn. We had a great meal and a great time. I can't say enough about this fabuloyus resort. The owner was around all the time and was very friendly and so gracious. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Shameka, Marvin and Boda!!!!! Kathy Coffelt Schuster

Booked three days/two nights in a suite at Grace Bay. Arrival goes fine - rum punch in the lobby, tour of grounds, everything you expect for 1k per night right? then try to eat at the Grill Rouge - we never had one meal right or in under 1 hour during our stay. Then at their Anacoana Restaurant I tried to ordr three drinks off the 11 sexy drinks menu and after key ingredients were not there for any of them i gave up and simply ordered a Captain and Coke - something that takes about 30 minutes at this hotel. Simply not worth anything over 250 per night - try other carribean resorts in the same range like Peter Island, Ritz St Thomas or a Four Seasons - less $$$ and much better result.

We stayed in a 2BR Grace Bay Club Villa and just got back last week. The hotel was excellent - great service, friendly staff, and superb location. Our room was excellent - very large with huge ocean facing balcony and tons of room for the 5 of us. The pool was fun, the beach very relaxing, and the staff were all accommodating and quite nice. I cant think of anything that wasn't good. I have heard people complain about slowness of service at some Caribbean resorts, but this was not the case at Grace Bay Club. All in all a very good trip from dinner on the beach to the complimentary breakfast at the grill each morning to the set up on the beach complete with day beds. The hotel has a concierge for every guest and they give you a cell phone with which you can call your concierge at any time. Franklyn and Godfrey were our two guys and they were both very very good. Franklyn was especially helpful and he has a gift for remembering everyone's names. The guy was worth a trip back back for how friendly he was. Kids club was fun and the activities were great.

My family and I have stayed and eaten at the best hotels and restaurants all over the world. Contrary to many bad reviews I have seen for this hotel, it was wonderful. Our personal concierges bent over backwards to fullfill our wishs and were constantly in touch with us. My child stayed in their kids town all day and loved it. The entire staff was very friendly and excited to help us. The rooms were very nice and in excellent condition. I truly have nothing bad to say about our stay. Yes, sometimes service was a bit slow but that is the carribean in general. Yes the restaurants on the Island tend to be very pricey but remember most foodstuffs are flown in. Yes the food is not michelin star, but it is good. Do try Coyaba, Cocoa Bistro.

This hotel was great from start to finish. Check in took less than 5 minutes while you sit on a couch with rum punch, then up to your room where your bags are waiting. The room was amazing and every room has an ocean view which means you don't have to pay couble the cost to look at the ocean instead of the parking lot. We stayed in the villas overlooking the pool and breakfast area. You are assigned personal concierges that are available around the clock. They give you a cell phone that is a direct line to them. They make your reservations, arrange for transportation, anything you needed. We had Vernon (in the evenings) and Gifford (in the mornings) and they were friendly, courteous, and always reachable.
The beach was perfect and was full of daybeds and chairs that were always available and no charge like most places. They offered kayaks and snokrling equipment for free also. If you have ever even thought about snorkling then this is the place to do it. It is a five minute ride away and you walk right out of the beach into coral filled with colorful fish. We even got to see and swim with sea turtles.
The food at the hotel was very good and breakfast ended up being our favorite meal of each day. We also ate several meals at the nearby restaurants and bars. The hotel offers free rides to anywhere you want to go in the immediate area and they also had bikes that were free to use that we took advantage of. We had good Italian at Bella Luna where they brougth us more food than we even ordered and the owner came to our table to ensure that we were enjoying ourselves. We had great pizza at Pizza Pizza (be careful if you order from here by phone though, there are two on the island). We had some pub style food from Danny Buoy's that hit the spot and we had good seafood at Hemingway's. Jimmy's Dive Bar is a gerat place to stop and have drinks in the afternoon if you're into simple, easy-going bars.
This trip was our honeymoon and the only thing that could have made it better would have been better weather. It rained about four days in a row which was un heard of for them, so the hotel had a free dinner buffett and free drinks for one whole evening to make it up to the guest of the hotel. Amazing trip and beyond amazing hotel.
