Be sure to rent in the front buildings with easy access to the beach ! Plenty of chairs & umbrellas on the beach - and the water is the best in the Caribbean ! If you want less crowds and peace & quiet this is the resort for you . Opus restaurant as always is also excellent. We had a 1bedroom with 2 full baths , washer/dryer and fully equipped kitchen . Hoping to go back next summer!

Room Tip: Ask for beach front buidings

Absolutely beautiful. Price was outstanding. We will go back. We went there in February, although the water was a little colder than experted. We loves the island. The hotel is a time share so we had a large room with a kitchen, washer/dryer, and a huge patio. We saved a lot by havin breakfast there and splurging for dinner.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for the great review! We are delighted you plan to return!
I did want to clarify that the hotel is not a timeshare, but rather the condominium-style suites are individually owned and managed by the most established management company in Turks & Caicos, Ocean Club Resorts Management.
We very much look forward to welcoming you back!
Our Best,
OCR Management

Ocean Club East

My husband, adult daughter, and I stayed here for the week of May 10-17, 2014. This was our second visit to OCE, and the front desk was kind enough to have a welcoming back letter with a bottle of red wine ready for us upon our arrival to our room.

The Suite
We booked a one-bedroom, 1 and a half bathroom suite with an ocean-view. The room was perfect for our needs! The pullout sofa bed was quite comfortable for our daughter. Having the well-equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, fridge with icemaker, full stove, microwave, and washer and dryer was certainly convenient. OCE also generously supplied soaps and paper products as required, so we didn’t need to bring or purchase any supplies on our own. The suite was clean and accommodating and included two flat screen TVs, one in the master bedroom, and the other in the main room. Our cleaning lady (Wealthy), was wonderful in keeping everything in tip-top shape. The enclosed balcony had a few lounge chairs and a table and chairs where we ate most of our meals. The only drawback to being out on the balcony was that the adjoining rooms are close by, creating a lack of privacy and noise. Also, there were unfortunately many smokers in our building, so the smells would drift into our rooms.

The Beach, Pools and Grounds
OCE is at the best part of Grace Bay. The beach is amazing, and the main reason why we keep coming back to Providenciales. The pools at OCE are kept exceptionally clean and the temperature was just right! There are always plenty of chairs available both at the pool and the beach. The grounds are impeccably kept also.

The Restaurants at OCE
We had dinner at Opus a few times and found that the staff was very friendly. The food was quite good and the atmosphere was lovely. We were seated outside amongst the lit palm trees, listening to a gentlemen entertain us with music from mostly the 70s and 80s.
We also ate lunch and dinner at The Cabana Bar. My family enjoyed the conch and red snapper, while I enjoyed the chicken.

The Shuttle Bus travelling between OCE and OCW is such a plus for this resort. It enabled us to walk to the IGA to purchase our groceries, without having to pay the heavy taxi fees, or rent a car for the week. The staff at OCW was also helpful in lending us a cart to haul our purchases. The availability of bicycles to ride around the island is also nice, and it was wonderful to see that the quality of the bikes has much improved since our last visit.

One small note: Be sure to check your bill upon checking out as there were charges on ours which were in error. The staff were good about removing the charges, however, we were somewhat disconcerted that they were there in the first place.

Overall, we love OCE and are looking forward to our next visit!

We just returned from a week at Ocean Club Resort (our first visit to TCI) and will return as soon as possible. Great staff, a beach and water almost too beautiful to describe, and two on-site restaurants. The Cabana Bar casual restaurant has views of the beach and had really tasty daily specials. The Opus "fancy" restaurant and wine bar had a great menu, delicious food, and wonderful ambience but we found ourselves drawn to the beach and the Cabana Bar most often. My wife started craving the fish tacos...some of the best we have ever had. This location (there is another Ocean Club resort about a mile down the beach and closer to "the action") has an on-site dive shop with recertification, tours, etc. The beach sand was more like soft flour and the water of Grace Bay was so clear...even after the passage of tropical storm Bertha...that you could stand in 5 feet of water, look down, and watch the fish go by or search for shells. The resort was also one of the only ones on the beach with a great selection of umbrellas and beach chairs for guests located right on the sand. The OCR is located near the eastern end of the "resort zone" so you are not within easy walking distance of other restaurants but the resort provides shuttle service to dining and shopping. You can also "borrow" a bicycle and cruise to other sites if you like. But this location provides a wonderfully private and relaxing feeling. Walk down the beach further east and you will find yourself pretty much alone (at least at this time of year...we were told that Christmas and New Years are a different story). We stayed in a small studio unit but never felt crowded or deprived...we spent most of our time on the beach or at the Cabana Bar so the room was only used for showering and sleeping. The unit had a nice screened balcony for our third floor location and we would take a break between the beach and dinner by enjoying a glass of wine and snacks on the balcony. Speaking of wine and snacks, we took advantage of the hotel shuttle and went to the local grocery store to stock up. The store was more of a gourmet style store but, in spite of what we had heard, the prices were not unrealistic. In fact, the food in general was not as expensive as we had anticipated. For those with a gluten allergy it should also be noted that the store had a nice selection of gluten-free products and the chefs at the restaurants we visited would all gladly fix gluten-free meals or versions of their standard meals. There is so much more to say but the last thing we noticed was how proud every staffer, shuttle driver, or store clerk is of their home island. That translated into friendly, happy, service everywhere we went.

Room Tip: If you plan on "cooking in" then you should select a unit with a separate kitchen area. T...

Highly recommend this resort. Accommodations are not 5 star but are VERY nice, clean, comfortable and the views from the screened in porch spectacular! The location is convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. the resort Cabana Bar serves excellent fish tacos and the frozen drinks are divine...these are my favorites! The service is excellent from housekeeping to bar staff. If you're looking for the nightclub scene this is not the place for you. The beach access and chair/umbrellas are plentiful and the two resort pools are kept clean and refreshing.

We've been to Ocean Club many times and truly enjoy the laid back atmosphere and wonderful beach. It's not the fanciest place in the world but if you want to relax and be just a few feet away from the best beach in the Caribbean ,this is your place . Don't expect a lot of night life, this is more for couples who want time alone or families with small kids . Our older teens didn't have much to do here. The staff at the pool bar are excellent and always so friendly .

Room Tip: Rooms that are on the same side as the pool bar are quieter.

Our suite with an ocean view was more spacious and better equipped than we expected. This "room" had a full kitchen (stocked with all of the utensils, dishes, and appliances needed), dining area, tv area, a king bed a murphy bed and two bathrooms. We enjoyed our beverages on the screened in balcony overlooking the pool and beach. Grace Bay Beach is a beautiful as advertised. A bonus was the Cabana Bar and Grill right there on the hotel's beach with decent prices, excellent food, and huge portions. One night we walked barefoot from our room to the restaurant for dinner. Use the two seated swing and/or the hammock to watch the sunset there too. Step out on the beach and go left to buy handmade crafts from the local women. If and when we return, we will stay at Ocean Club again.
