I've been to Provo on four separate occassions this year (2013) and love staying at Ports of Call Resorts. The hotel is located in Grace Bay - great location. POCR is just a short walk away to a beautiful beach. The hotel offers free continental breakfast with the use of a microwave any time of the day. There's a super market directly across the street from the hotel which has a wide variety of quality foods, salad bar, and take out food. The staff at PORC is amazing. They are all extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is very charming with modern room decor. All my stays at POCR were perfect. My hotel of choice in Provo.

I just returned from my 7th trip to Providenciales in 5 years and it keeps getting better and better. I have stayed at the Ports of Call Resort every time and I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island. I am usually one to stay in a resort right on the beach, with a beach view; however, even though Ports of Call isn't directly on the beach, the island ambiance you get at this resort is worth the 3 minute walk to the beauty of Grace Bay. Ports of Call if a place where "everyone knows your name" and is willing to go above and beyond to make you happy. From Kendra Parker, to Evelyn at the front desk, to Watson the bartender and local historian; they all make you feel like you've known them forever. Even the owner, Dale Papke, makes you feel like your opinions and concerns are important and will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. The location is ideal and within walking distance to the grocery store, and restaurants and shopping. I plan on returning in June once again. Thank you to everyone at Ports of Call for a wonderful vacation! (The weather and beach didn't hurt either!)

Thanks for both submitting such a great review and for choosing to stay with us several times each and every year. It is interacting with guests such as you and your Dad that confirm that I made the right decision entering the hospitality business.

We spent several weeks at ports of call resort this December. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. The pool area is quite nice, and the hotel is conveniently located close to dining, shopping, & groceries. (check out "upstairs" restaurant in the complex...some of the best food for your dime on provo)
The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. In particular, Charles went out of his way to help us on several occasions, and made us feel more like family, than guests. We also ran into the owner and his family (also vacationing there), and they were very personable - (ie "let us know if we can do anything to make your stay more enjoyable")
The room we had was rather ordinary, but suited our needs just fine. Grace bay beach is a 5 minute walk and the hotel is also conveniently located if you want to head out to Leeward highway (ie head to another beach).
Ping pong, poolside bar, continental breakfast included (which actually means something, since food in Provo is so expensive) all add up to give this resort grt value. We would certainly come back to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Such a great little spot for a great price. We would return again. Walking distance to so much. Clean rooms although our bathroom was a little old, with signs discoloured grout. But for the price, nothing I would complain about. We loved the Ping pong table to pass the time with the kids before bedtime. We would have liked to have been offered a room with a balcony, as the hotel was not fully booked. Beach shuttle was great, but we were happy to walk the short walk back. We will come back again.

If you not a millionaire this is the place to stay. Short walk to the Grace Bay beach. Chairs provided by hotel, shuttle to and from the beach. Great central location within walking distance to enough restaurant's and shops to keep everyone happy. Free continental breakfast , good coffee in room and a mini fridge. Nice pool and hot tub with no need to get up and reserve chairs at 5am. Non smoking policy wasn't an issue as they provide a small space with hammocks and tables away from the pool. Rooms were clean and spacious. Big shout out to Tristian our beach shuttle and go to guy for tips on evening entertainment and cheap beer. Please note that if you have transportation included with your trip you must always triple check that you are in the proper taxi. Taxi to the resort tried to charge us 70 American even after we found our west jet rep and were put in the taxi. Needless to say we didn't pay :( not being stiffed on our 1st day.

Room Tip: walk out on 1st floor to the pool worked well for us.

Thank you for the taking the time to submit such a great review. I think everyone who stays with us has some fond memories of Kristen. Sorry about your issue with the taxis. All of the drivers that I have encountered are actually really friendly and honest. Unfortunately they have to follow some regulated rates that in my opinion are too high.Fortunately our central location limits the amount of times that you have to use taxis.

This is a relatively new resort for the moderately priced traveler that is in the middle of the action. It is one block from be beach (and the resort has a private section of beach), a block from a nice grocery store and a few blocks from a very good shopping district with an abundance and variety of stores. The staff are friendly and the place is well kept. There are no restaurants on the premises but there are three directly across the street. The biggest bonus is the property is right across the street from a very professionally run dive shop.

I stayed at Ports of Call on a Scuba diving trip as part of a 23 person group. I found the hotel and the grounds to be very clean, and while it isn't directly on the beach, it is just a short 3 minute walk across the street to the beach at Grace Bay. The only thing that I thought was odd was that the Hotel didn't seem to have a restaurant for lunch and dinner, but they did provide a nice breakfast off the lobby every morning.

If I return to Provincales on another dive trip (Dive Provo is a great shop to use!!!) I would gladly stay at Ports of Call again.

Thank you for the kind review. The reason that you only saw our free breakfast area is that the Ports of Call Plaza that is located a few steps from our front door is part of our operation and has 3 restaurants and 4 bars as tenants. Our resort guests receive a special discount card that can be used at all of the plazas shops, services, bars and restaurants.
