This is small Hotel just like guesthouse, but more comfortable. It is situated on the beach, around growing palm trees. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel has amazing restaurant and bar, you should taste grilled vegatable. You can also use pool. Hotel offers golf and dive packages. This hotel is good option for midrange travelers.

We did a lot of research and ended up staying at the second floor Beach Apartment. The valus for money was perfect for what we were interested in, which was, mainly doing not a lot. The view from the porches (one screened and one open) was phenomenal. The kitchen was fully appointed in "old camp" sort of way. Being able to shop at the local grocery and make your own breakfasts and lunches made it feel very much of a home as opposed to a hotel. Best of both worlds, as we could walk across the grounds to the Bay Bistro and enjoy some very nice open air dinners in the evening. Being so close to the beach was very nice, too. Though there were "no-see-ums" at night and my husband came home with some pretty bad bug bites. Next time we can book this place, we will use bug spray on exposed skin.

The downside was, as reported in other reviews, the wireless connection did drop quite a lot. The ladder at the pool was so loose, I didn't dare get in for fear of not being able to get out. The Bay Bistro restaurant is not part of the hotel, though they do have a certain "arrangement" for providing the continental breakfast and you do have to make your own dinner reservations. But on the whole, we'd definetly plan on going back there again.

Other tips (as this was indeed our first visit to the TCI), rent a car from Grace Bay Car Rentals, but be careful where you go, some of the roads were near impassable. Try the local rum. There weren't as much birdlife as one would expect, next time we go, we'd like to go on to the other islands. But by far, if you are looking for an island less traveled, this is the place. On the expensive side as everything has to be shipped in, common with most islands. The airport is being expanded as the existing one is woefully old and cramped.

Sibonne Hotel is the perfect location for someone to "get away" and relax! The entire staff at the hotel are professional, friendly and always willing to offer advise on how to get around the island.

Bay Bistro staff are equally as professional and kind. The food at Bay Bistro is out-of-this-world offering the most relaxed environment anyone could ask for.

Culturally, we felt comfortable and welcomed throughout the entire island. The people of Provo are so helpful and friendly.

Clean room, fabulous location on Grace Bay. Hotel staff were quite grumpy and unable to help us with some things, including beach towels and making dinner reservations. Oh well. Overall, quite nice.

Could not have been closer to the beach. Great restaurant location as well. We were on a corner on ground level, which made it less private - could not open sliding doors to patio - constant noise from office and staff walking past.

Room was clean and with great king size bed.

I expected things to be oldish, so I do not complain about constant Wifi interruptions, leaking coffee machine, slow fridge.

Great place to stay.

My husband and I just returned from a 5 night stay in the TCI (Provo). We stayed at the Sibonne Beach Hotel (pronounced si BON na as I quickly found out). We loved the vibe of the Sibonne. It was very laid back and pretty much all-adult. The rooms are small, and definitely no-frills, but they were comfortable Each room had a small patio or deck. We walked the beach quite a ways in both directions and found nothing like it anywhere. All of the other more expensive resorts were monstrous, busy and much more family oriented. If you're taking children to the TCI, the Sibonne is probably not for you, since the larger resorts have water sports, larger pools, activities, etc., but for a couple or small group the Sibonne is perfect. The only complaints I had were that the wifi service was somewhat spotty (had to continually reconnect) and there was no hottub. There was an PC available for use by hotel guests in the breezeway by the office. The pool was nondescript and small, but who cares, the beach is just steps away! In spite of what I had previously read on Trip Advisor, I thought the staff was very friendly and quite helpful.

The food and view at Bay Bistro were phenomenal. We ate quite a few meals at the Bistro and all were awesome and the wait staff was friendly. The coffee rubbed tuna was one of my favorites for an appetizer/light lunch. The conch chowder was really good too! It was nice that the Bistro (and Junior's Bar) were just steps away from the rooms. Junior is quite a character - we will miss sitting at the bar talking to him!

As far as other restaurants, Hemingway's (just east at the Sands) was another bayside dining spot which was really good. We never ate dinner there, but did do a couple of lunches. The conch salad was tasty and even served in a conch shell. The fish tacos were also really good. I was surprised at how many awesome restaurants there were on the island, with big-time chefs at each. Hint: read the Dining Guide in your room. It has menus for each restaurant, write ups on the chefs, and recipes from each restaurant. Coco Bistro (near the Saltmills) is a must...outside dining under a coconut grove and the food was excellent.

We rented bikes from Nautique (near the Saltmills). Tyler was super-friendly. The bikes were brand new and the best beach bikes we have ever rented. It was a good way to see the island and in the majority of places, you can ride on the sidewalk. We did find out there is not much at Turtle Cove (except a few restaurants and the marina) and that all of the "action" is at Grace Bay. I wish the Sibonne had told us about the Gekko bus - we did not know about that until returning and reading it here. As far as cabs go, we did not have a bad experience with any. Sonny was one of our favorite drivers and was quite a character - we will ask for him next time.

Oh boy, where do I begin? First off, this place is not *that* cheap, so really do yourself a favor and find a different hotel to stay in! What a mistake we made staying at this place. The good part? We only spent half of our stay at this dump and couldn't be happier to move to a much nicer resort! The staff is miserable and you can tell they don't want to be here, but I'm sure you got that from all the other reviewers who mentioned it.

When we were checking in, the receptionist called another employee over and handed him a can of Lysol. She then proceeded to tell him to go spray down our room! That's when it all began.

This is more of a motel, you know that place you crash with 15 of your friends during prom weekend at the Jersey shore? There were ants all over our room and the moldy smell is unforgettable. It smells so bad in this place and even as you walk down the hall. You should know, the "hall" is outdoors so being able to smell something tells you a lot! If they keep the rooms so dirty, can you imagine what goes on in that kitchen? Yea, we didn't eat here for good reason! Under the chair and tables in the room are cow webs and a ton of dust. I'm fairly certain this room has never been cleaned before!

The only thing this place has going for it is location. However, there is no one at the beach to help you out. The towels they provide (ok, you have to walk into a room to get them yourself, no where near the pool or beach) are terrible and have holes in them, so we had to walk over to the Palms to get nice towels. We ended up walking over to the various resorts near here every day to use their pools and beach. The pool at this hotel is a joke, no one was ever in it. If you stay here, go next door to use their really awesome infinity pool. The Palms has a great pool as well, with a nice hot tub and bonfire at night. We spent more time at those hotels than this one, we basically just slept here.

Which brings up another point, the beds suck so bad! They are the most uncomfortable beds ever! Oh, and they claim to have free wi fi but it NEVER works. You get disconnected all the time. You might be thinking, "But you're on vacation, why do you need internet?" Well, we wanted to do a couple of excursions and the very unfriendly and miserable staff here doesn't book those for you so we had to use Skype and call ourselves (they charge, even for local calls). We'd start talking and the call would be lost because their wi fi is that bad!

Oh yea, and definitely rent a car. We didn't at first, and after the first day we decided to rent one so that we weren't dependent on cabs, which sometimes take up to an hour to show up and cost a minimum of $20 each way to wherever you are going. The car rental wasn't that expensive for the week and we had the freedom to drive around the entire island.

So as you can probably figure out, we do not recommend this place to anyone. There are so many nice and not that much more expensive hotels on this island, you don't have to stay here. Live and learn, don't make the same mistake we did!
