“Perfect for couples and families”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 November 2011

I stayed in a two bedroom condo in Ocean Club West with 3 friends in February 2011. The unit we stayed in (I believe it was 333), was beautifully furnished with a large screened in porch that was perfect for afternoon cocktails. The unit was big enough for 4 adults and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. The river like style of the pool was great, as it allows you to stake out your own "area" of the pool. The restaurant was just OK. The location (right beside Grace Bay Club) was perfect, and we spent many evenings watching the sunset there. It's not a far walk to the grocery store and the resort has bicycles for complimentary use. It's a quiet resort, as many are in Provo...not a great singles scene but as the Title suggests, perfect for families and couples wanting a romantic, relaxing get away. No review of any resort on Grace Bay would be complete without mentioning the amazing beaches. It's the softest, finest sand and most amazing blue water I've ever seen.

We just returned from 10 days at OCW and it was wonderful. The room we booked was a Studio and it was small, but for 2 people it was fine. We weren't in the room much and I would rather spend my money on other things. We were very happy that this is the slow time of year since we were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. I guess the ocean was rougher than normal, but it was still fine and the weather was perfect.
OCW is in a great location as we were able to walk to the grocery store and shops and there are enough restaurants around to find someplace different every night. We loved Coco Bistro and Bella Luna and Jimmy's Dive Bar was a great place for a sandwich and drinks. We also enjoyed the French bakery that was just across the road.
The only negative comment that I could make would be regarding the pool...........and maybe I'm just too picky, but I thought that it could have been skimmed once or twice during the day to get the bugs and leaves that were floating on the water........but it really wasn't too bad.
We would definitely return again.

It was my second visit to Ocean Club West and T&C. A few buddies and I did a dive trip/hang last week and really enjoyed our 2 BD room Ocean front condo. The staff is helpful and the grounds and room are exceptionally well taken care of. The office staff quickly takes care of every problem and your restaurant reservations. The beach is great here----much better than at "Beaches Resort" and the location is within walking distance of most of the best restaurants and the IGA grocery. Don't waste your time going to the big IGA----the close one in Grace Bay has the same prices. (expensive)

Mu husband and I just came back from our second visit to Turks and Caicos. Previously we stayed at Royal West Indies. Overall we had a nice experience at Ocean Club West. We booked a reasonably priced room with island view and thought that it would be fine since we would be on the beach all day. We were given a room that was very cozy (small) and nice, that also had a very small kitchen but it was facing the side road. This is the road that goes to the Grace Bay Club next door. We couldn't really see the road since there were palm trees around us but we heard the cars pass by. This wasn't a very busy road but we were still able to hear cars pass by early in the morning with the balcony doors closed. We decided to upgrade to a ocean view room and it was one of the best decisions we've made. Our upgraded room was much bigger with a seating area and full large kitchen. We were also much closer to the beach and pool. The location of the hotel is great. It is walking distance to the grocery store and to the shopping area. We took advantage of having a full kitchen and cooked breakfast every morning. The Seaside Cafe located at Ocean Club West was just okay. We heard that it had only been 3 weeks since it opened so I'm sure they will improve their menu. We didn't care as much since there are many great restaurants at Provo. The beach was amazing of course and every one is very friendly and nice. We definitely go back to Ocean Club West but will make sure to get an ocean view room.

We stayed at OCW from 10/31-11/06 in a 1 Bedroom unit facing the courtyard and ocean. We were originally booked to stay in a Junior Suite but received a complimentary upgrade to the 1 Bedroom.

We were situated on the second floor in room 423 which was on the second floor in the second to last block of buildings but even still, we had a great view. I don't know exactly the size of our room but we guessed around 1000 sqft. The unit was equipped with a dining room area, living area with couches, a full bath with jacuzzi as well as a half-bath, full kitchen, washer/dryer, all utensils, pots, pans, you name it, they had it. The balcony was huge and we loved the screened in porch. Not once during the entire stay did we turn on the a/c. The island breeze from one end of the unit to the other was enough to keep things cool including 4 ceiling fans within the unit. The master bedroom was wonderful and king bed comfortable. The room also had a dvd player and vhs player (lol) and in the lobby, you could 'rent' from the dvd or vhs library along with a nice collection of books for the beach.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly smile and even though check-in was not until 4pm, our room was ready by 2pm. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and shortly after entering our unit, a gentleman brought us up a nice card with good wishes and a nice bottle of champagne!

We didn't take the shuttle over to OCE but the mini-van seemed to be parked by the lobby quite often and available to anyone at anytime.

The grounds are spectacular. We had 2 large palms right in front of our balcony and marvelled at the endless flower bushes and green plams and plants. We really appreciate this sort of thing when travelling to the islands.

The lagoon-style pool area is exquisitely landscaped all around. I only had time to do one lap around on our last day there. I enjoyed the beachlife much more! The resort for this time of year was quiet but this is what we wanted. If you are more into nightlife, this is not the resort for you. The Seaside cafe was a perfect location for any time of day. We bought our groceries for breakfast and lunch but did sit by the cafe a few times for coffee. We enjoyed dinner on our last night at OCW. My partner ordered the lobster tail with scalloped potatoes and I ordered the lobster risotto with truffle oil. It was delicious to say the least!

We didn't make any calls from the phone within our unit as if you go to the front desk, they will allow you to use the house-phone free of charge (local calls only).

They have tennis courts onsite as well as bicycles available if you like. They also have a dive-shop where you can prebook a tour.

The staff everywhere were very pleasant, courteous, helpful and always greeted you with a smile whether at the front desk, at the Seaside Cafe, or even any onsite crew cleaning up.

The first day we arrived, the ocean was calm as it typically should be on Grace Bay Beach. Sadly the rest of the 6 days, the surf was rough but fun to try to get in and out of without losing your bathing suit! It was just an unfortunate even we weren't able to do the snorkelling we wanted to because of the rough water but we made the best of it. The weather was great the entire week. One day there was a 3 hour downpour but that provided us opportunity to do a little shopping at the Regent Plaza. I truly believe OCW has the best stretch of beach as it's not too wide or narrow, just perfect.

The nightime ambiance is fabulous. The lighting is perfect and they even have tiki torches by the restaurant that only adds to the already amazing atmosphere.
One night they had some kind of happy hour or something. We were too tired to attend but it sounded like a lot of fun! If you are looking for nightlife, this is not the resort for you! I have heard from other guests that the "bar scene" is more "happening" at OCE. We were looking for quiet and we found it!

I was surprised to see that they even had beach bar service. The server would come around once in awhile to see if you wanted something from the bar. You had the option of charging it to the room as well. This was great. Although often we would bring our cooler bag to the beach filled with cold water and munchies.

The Grace Gourmet grocery store is literally a 5 min walk from OCW which was great to be able to shop for a few items for the week. Also close by are quite a few restaurants all within walking distance as well as the Caicos Bakery which was delicious!

Overall it was the absolute best holiday and destination we have ever been to and already planning our next trip to Provo.

I'm sure I am forgetting things in this review but if you have any questions, ask me anytime!

Arrived in Provo for our very first visit in February 2011. OCW was reasonably priced, beautiful landscaping and overall clean! Staff was very polite and friendly. Food and drinks were yummy! Going back to stay again in November.

Arrived 10/20 fr 5 nites with friends hoping for better weather than we had in Aruba last year & upon arrival very glad it was sunny and hot. 1st time in T&C easy to find the Grace bay area but not a sign for the resort so after passing it twice finally stubled upon it. Check-in was easy by a very cordial receptionist. Junior suite 526 was great ...very large, clean, roomy. Nicely decorated, flat screen TV, CD player ...an IPOD doc would have been nice. Great view of ocean & pool & a great huge screened in porch for reading or relaxing . A welcome complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. Went downstairs to an OK lunch & an island cocktail , fairly priced, it was still offseason so menu was very limited served on the new deck what a view !!. Grounds are beautifully landscaped as is the pool area, pool was great, as was the drink service. Been to the carribean 12 times and Grace bay is probably the best ive seen....the water is crystal & calm. I would highly recommend Ocean club west , they keep the property pristine, 1/2 the price on neighboring places , helpful pleasant staff. All in all we had a great time we'll be returning to T&C next year.....I suggest renting a car as we did to explore, get around to different restaurants and check out the other side of the island. Ahh only 49 more weeks........................
