Our family of 8 just returned from Providenciales and are already wanting to go back. Villa Turquesa was so well laid out for ages 82 to 8 years old. Grandparents to children we all loved the villa which had views from every window and the owners had put so much into making our family comfortable by providing so many extras like games and pool toys which we all loved. The pool was well maintained and beautiful, The dock provided us many hours of snorkeling fun with our own lobster living below the rocks under our pier. My 8 year old daughter could even touch the soft sand when the tide was lower off the pier and loved to snorkel with us. The Kitchen had more luxuries than anywhere we had ever traveled. The separate ice maker was especially nice. The pictures on line do the outside and inside an injustice. The house was much nicer and we have stayed in many houses on vacation to compare. Location was perfect to go out the front door and be at Taylor Bay in a slow 3 minute walk or float around the point to get there. The whole house flowed so well for our family . I seldom write reviews but had to for this home. Thank you TCSafari and especially Joanne who looked after us and helped us find Villa Turquesa. The Hayes Family
Rented this villa through Villas of Distinction. It was exactly as described. We had a group of six and were there for our 25th anniversary. Everyone loved their rooms and their private bathrooms. The kitchen and the other common areas were great. The pool and the deck areas were awesome. Snorkeling off the lower deck by some of our guests was said to be phenomenal. Taylor Bay Beach is across the street and that beach is nice as well. We were worried about the construction based on other reviews, but honestly it wasn't bad. We heard it sometimes, but it was so easy to tune out given the setting. The one thing I would say is to really be mindful of your electric usage while there, because you will be billed for that. Be sure to remind guests to turn off lights, close doors, etc. - just like you would do at home. Also, do your research on the company you book through. Our concierge with Villas of Disctinction before we arrived was not responsive and as a result we had to book all of our activities on our own. I would not use Villas of Distinction again. However, the property management company and the concierge at the actual villa were awesome.

The house is absolutely gorgeous and was a perfect fit for our family of five. The layout, the views, the furniture, the pool...we loved it! From the minute you walk in the door, there are views of the water from every room. We loved how the pool area was out of the wind but still in the sun!
Our biggest issue was the unrelenting construction next door. The neighbor chose to cut rebar for a driveway and drill nonstop for adding doors etc during the entire Christmas week. When we begged him to stop on Christmas eve day, he refused. The company we booked with did not return emails or calls. We struggled, but it forced us to get out and spend more time on the island. We did not feel safe leaving our older kids alone at the home as we had a dumpster and port a potty at the end of our driveway and various workmen having animated and sometimes argumentative discussions starting at 9 am every morning. We were promised in writing that there was no construction next door prior to booking with Travel Keys.
The drive to villa is not pretty, it is very industrial, but once you turn onto the street, it is lovely. The houses are surrounded by other homes on the point, so it feels safe, however once inside Villa Turquesa, it feels very private. We were unable to swim, SUP or Kayak off the dock area because the water was too rough. My husband and I are open water competetive swimmers and are very comfortable swimming, diving, and snorkeling, but it wasn't swimmable off the dock while we were there. We did carry our SUPs down the path across the street to Taylor Bay.
Taylor Bay is calm and beautiful and we often ended our days there and watched the sun set.
You absolutely need a rental car. We were nervous about driving on the left, but felt like pros by the end of the week. We snorkeled Smiths reef, Bight Reef twice, and went on a snorkel trip with Big Blue. We saw lots of turtles at Bight and a shark with Big Blue out on the reef. We had a lovely dive with Dive Provo.
We did meet some other renters and owners on the street and they were lovely. However, I'm not sure I could rent this property again with the neighbor next door.
Wow! If I were to build my dream Caribbean home, it would look a lot like Villa Turquesa. Everything from the landscaping to the whitewashed ceilings were stunning and perfectly appointed. Very Pottery Barn/Frontgate in style, just beautiful. The location can't be beat either - the house is on a cliff overlooking Sopadilla bay (accessed by a set of stairs with a dock built out over the water) and also directly across from a short path to Taylor Bay (my Father In Law timed the door-to-water time as 92 seconds). The pool is also beautiful and pretty big for a villa, we opted to pay extra to get it heated, which I would recommend in the winter, especially if you like night swimming. We kept the house open nearly all the time and the breezes were more than enough to keep us comfortable. We were a group of 6 adults, two young children and two infants - major props to Kerry and the local staff for helping us with high chairs, cribs, and bed rails. It was hard to tell from the pics how easily our young kids might access the pool, but we found that all but one of the doors out to the pool had locking screens, and the other we just blocked with a small piece of furniture. The screened porch is a great place for a relaxing dinner, if you can summon up the motivation to cook yourself instead of going to all the great restaurants in Provo. The VRBO website didn't include pics of the bathrooms, but they are all as beautiful as the bedrooms, with marble counter tops and hand tiled showers. I think only the master bathroom has a bathtub, the others are all standing showers. We also couldn't figure out the ocean access situation in front of the house exactly from the website, so I've included pics from the water - it was a great swimming area, but more for adults than really small children. Adults can easily stand in the water around the dock. Also the ladder to the water is in great condition and actually more like a set of steps with a handrail, so they must've improved it to address that earlier review. The only things I might consider adding would be a stand-alone ice machine (we ended up supplementing with bagged ice from IGA) and some ocean kayaks a la Twelve Palms. All in all I seriously had to tear myself away from Villa Turquesa and we are already planning our return visit. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home!
