We stayed in Unit 212 from 12/31/12 to 1/10/13 and were happy with the accommodations. We are not resort people so appreciated this location - a very short walk to the beach and many shopping and eating locations within reasonable walking distance. The unit has a nice kitchen with refrigerator, oven and MW and has a variety of small appliances. Both living room and bedroom have AC units but we mostly used the fans. Shineth works for BWWS and manage their units. She can help you with car rental, excursions, etc. We rented mopeds and a car from Grace Bay Rentals. You do need a vehicle to explore the greater majority of the island. You also receive a cell phone and can load minutes. We hardly used it but it was good insurance - especially when we visited North and Middle Caicos! If you are a resort person, this may not be fine for you. Small families will appreciate the flexibility of a home environment and the complex pool (was clean and neat area). We had virtually no bugs (occasional mosquito) so left the patio door open almost all the time. Overall, this was a great location for us.

Room Tip: The rooms on the 3rd level can probably get a view of the beach. I had to stand on a chair to see t...

We stayed there last Nov of 2012 for 13 days. We love the place. First time we saw it we love it already. the peace and tranquility of the place is a plus factor... The unit were in is 121, we love the view from the balcony....
Its a perfect place for a couple, its clean and newly renovated units. Shineth our personal conceirge is a really big help to us.. She's fantastic and very professional in dealing with us.
The place is in the heart of Gracebay, close to shops and restaurants.
The beach is not crowded like the other beach place and its awesome. We love to come back next year...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BWWS for the week of Dec.24 to Dec.30th. We had a great time. Shineth was very courteous and helpful, especially in helping us book some excursions and getting rental cars for us. Please let her know. I did not get her email.

The room itself was very nice and clean. The sheets and towels were cleaned and replaced everyday, which was nice. Everyone was kind and we got to know a few of our neighbors.

The daily morning muffins/croissants and coffee was quite welcome!

We will definitely be coming back!

If I can make one recommendation:

There was confusion as to which beach chairs were ours when we went out to the beach the first day. We only knew later that the orange chairs and the black chairs were ours. It would be nice if you can have a permanent sign/stand that says 'These chairs [orange/black ones] are for BWWS guests only' and have labels on them. Also, once you get more staff, to have someone go out every morning and clean/arrange the chairs/rake the sand in our area [like the other units do...]

The other minor issue, though not in your control, was we did not have wifi for 3 days, but it did come back, Shineth prompty was following up.

Overall, it was a great stay and my 2 boys had a blast. We miss TCI already. We were welcomed to a balmy 20 degrees in Chicago the other day...

Thanks again.

We loved our visit to Provo! We had an awesome New Year's trip complete with 5 days on the pretty beaches, a Vespa adventure, a dive trip, delicious seafood at nearby restaurants and a lot of reading by the pool/beach.

Tradewinds offered a great location and nice amenities (private pool, in unit kitchen, spacious room, wi-fi throughout including poolside, daily maid service, a/c) but there were a couple things that could be improved including the mattress in the master bedroom which felt very old. The TV was a big box style without a working remote (although we only watched it occasionally, it was annoying).

The unit had a beautiful porch overlooking the lush grounds and pool which was lovely. The pool was small but refreshing while sunbathing - certainly nothing like the pools at some of the fancy resorts but quiet and relaxing.

Tradewinds location can't be beat - close to lots of shops and restaurants - we loved Hemingway's seafood by the waterfront, Yoshi's sushi, and Cafe Caicos (a little walk). Everything including the grocery store is within about a 10 minute walk. You can get to lots of the other resorts restaurants via the beachfront with a 10-40 minute walk in either direction.

If you go at New Year's there are multiple fireworks displays along the beach at midnight and it's just beautiful!!

Room Tip: We enjoyed unit 222! Each unit is maintained and decorated differently so I can only speak to our u...

We stayed at BWWS December 2012 and the condo had every amenity we could want-very quiet area, patio overlooking the pool, full kitchen, coffee maker, comfortable bed, air conditioning, flat screen TV in the bedroom and living room, pull out sofa, and modern bathroom. Our condo was a very short walk to shopping and dinner and an even shorter walk to the beach. The beach area was wonderful and quiet. We WILL be back again.

Our stay at the Tradewinds, also called Blue Water White Sands was August 8th and 9th. While it was a good price, we could have spent about $50.00 more and gotten a room at Villa Del Mar or even Beaches. We will do that next time for sure.

First the pros
1. Location- just a short 2-3 minute walk to the beach. Close to shopping and grocery store.
2. Comfortable bed.
3. Plenty of space.
4. Grounds well kept. (not including the pool)
5. Shineth- the person we dealt with at the condo was GREAT! I can safely say she was one of the most kind and caring, professional people we encountered in Provo. (we didn't feel like the locals were very nice at all- she was wonderful to deal with) Shineth also acted as concierge and booked our excursion and transportation. It was nice not to have to shop around. She got us a great snorkeling tour company.
6. Cell phone. The hotel gave us a free cell phone for local calls. It would have been great if it worked but it didn't. We ended up using our own which cost more but not worth worrying about.
7. Discount on rental car with rental of condotel.
8. Air conditioning. There was air conditioning in the living area and bedroom which worked well and was nice to have.
Now the cons...
1. THE SMELL!!!! When we walked in, it stunk- We tried to ignore it but it just got to be unbearable. It smelled like there had been a cat there. I HATE CATS. I wanted to cry. We tried not to spend too much time in the condo due to the smell. We did mention the smell in a voice mail but did not get moved as we requested. In fact, although Shineth was fantastic, this was our only complaint of her- our reqest and complaint about the smell was completely ignored, never mentioned. The condo was mostly clean in appearance but the smell was overwhelming
2. The shower had mildew.
3. The shower smelled like sulphur. I think it was the water?!
4. The towels were worn, not all white and had stains.
5. The sheets were worn. They felt rough and not comfortable.
6. No beach chairs as promised. We were told we could use the "orange beach chairs" on the beach. There were NO orange beach chairs. We had to use another hotels beach chairs and hope they didn't say anything to us.
7. The washer was broken, we did a load of wash and could not get the washer lid to open. My husband had to work on getting it open just to get the clothes out.
8. No laundry soap or fabric softener provided.
9. TV did not work in bedroom.
10. Screen on screened patio did not work.
11. Pool was dirty.

It is my understanding that the units are individually owned, the unit we stayed in was 111.

Our Providenciales tips-

Unless you are staying at a resort and do not want to explore the island, we recommend renting a car. We weren't going to, but decided we wanted to explore the island. Taylor bay and Sapodilla Bay were worth going to. They are hard to find. Grab a map, you'll want it. Taylor bay and Sapodilla bay are not marked. We drove up and down the road until we realized they are just little dirt roads off the main road to get to them. Chalk sound was beatiful. We also went to "the hole" but would not recommend this. Nothing exciting. Just a hole. We wanted to go to Coral Gardens but did not have time.

Excursions- We absolutely LOVED Caicos Dream Tours. Ask for Pop and Lickey to be your tour guides. They were awesome. The snorkeling tour was worth every penny.

We stayed at the Tradewinds from 7/13-7/16 in a ground level one bedroom apartment. The apartment is equipped with a full kitchen, fridge, couch, 2 t.v.'s, 2 A/C units one in the living room and bedroom. We rented a car from Grace Bay rentals, which is right up the road. It would be difficult to get around (ie grocery store, other beaches) without renting a car. Anyone can cab it, but remember it is the islands and cabs have to be called and waited on. Right now, it seems it is off season on Grace Bay, we were one of two couples staying at the Tradewinds. The walk to the beach is about 2 blocks (as someone mentioned in a previous review). Grace Bay beach (at least now) is quiet, the water is clear blue. We stayed at the Tradewinds because it is affordable, allows you to not eat out all the time and be able to get around the entire island conveniently. I would highly recommend tradewinds for families and couples who aren't into resorts and like the comforts of home.
