Description: Big Al's Island Grill is now open in Salt Mills Plaza. The restaurant made its grand opening in November, and offers a delicious variety of burgers and other entrees. The decor is that of a 50's diner, and will bring you down a trip through memory lane with its checkerboard design and red accents. Though the restaurant is the "new kid on the block," owner Doug Camozzi is not new to the restauranteur business. He is also the owner and manager of The Green Bean Cafe in Turtle Cove. Doug opened Big Al's Island Grill in honor of his father, a seasoned restauranteur himself, running successful businesses in San Francisco. On the Menu Big Al's offers quite a unique selection of burgers including their New Mexican Burger, the Sicilian Burger and the Smashed Onion. Fries are offered in shoestring, krinkle or waffle cut. Burgers are not the only meals you will find at Big Al's. Don't miss out on their wraps and salads, grilled chicken, fish or steak options. Gluten-free and vegetarian choices are available too. If you think you can take on a challenge, try the Slider Challenge at Big Al's. If you can finish the meal within 30 minutes, you get a free t-shirt. Be sure to stop by and visit Big Al's Island Grill if in the Grace Bay area.

After several days of eating only fish we decided to try a good old burger. They were delicious, kind of that greasy cafe style. They had many styles to choose from, including turkey burgers and buffalo burgers. I think they also had regular sandwiches as well. Try the onion rings. They were recommended and rightfully so. Good place to grab lunch when at the salt mills doing some shopping.

“Warm Island Hospitality and great food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

We first visited this restaurant in December of 2013 and loved it! We went back in June and loved it again. Fran is frantastic! Very personable! And the rum punch will knock you on your *&%. The food is excellent. The prices are reasonable for a Caribbean island. You leave with a happy heart and full stomach. Caribbean charm at its best. I'd say the people make this place, but the food is delicious too. It's the whole package. The chicken Caesar salad wrap are a great light tasty lunch. In December we had the steak with "gravy" OMG better than a 5 star restaurant. Enjoy!

“Excellent Spot for Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

Big Al's has quite a menu, including vegetarian which was great to find. They will also give you iced tap water, not only pricey bottled water! We ate there twice and enjoyed both very much.

“Jason is AMAZING!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

Randomly found this gem, and was so happy! Jason was our waiter and he is the nicest person!! I was having a rough start to my vacation and he just sat down and laid it all out for me of how everything was going to be ok and then he served me the best food we had on the island!! At great prices as well - can't beat that!

“Dinner at Big Al's”

Good burger & service in a nice environment. As usual with food on the island, it tends to be a little pricey
