“Chillin' at Aquamarine”
Reviewed 13 December 2013

We were at Aquamarine from Nov 30th until Dec 8th on the first floor of the Sunrise. The previous reviews are spot-on. When we return to Provo, we will be staying at Aquamarine. Paula is a fantastic host and she is always available to you if needed. You see her whipping around the complex ensuring that everything is in tip-top shape. The rooms are immaculate. The bed linens are changed every day, including the comforter. She provides a small cooler which works great when taking your beer or soda down to the beach, which is right at your back door. She also provides a water dispenser machine that gives you cold purified water. You have everything available in the room to make your own meals, if wanted. The WIFI in the room worked great. The reception in the TV room is the best, but it still worked in the kitchen and bedroom. We did not try outside in the little patio area. Now, if you are looking for luxurious and pampering, then this may not be for you. If you like crowds and the hustle and bustle, then is may not be for you. But, if you are looking for a place that is extremely clean, very friendly, great location, quiet and peaceful to re-energize yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then this is the place to be. The pool is great and is perfect when you want a change of pace from the ocean. Aquamarine is located, in our opinion, in the perfect location on Grace Bay. It sits on the west end of the beach after the Gansevoort Resort which is one of the last big resorts on Grace Bay. The Beach House is east of Gansevoort. To the east of Aquamarine is the Bight city park which is nice. This is where the locals come to on the weekends (usually Sunday) for their outing to the beach. Heading west from Aquamarine, you can actually walk the beach to Turtle Cove (or the tip of it where the boats go into Turtle Cove). Now, this is a pretty good beach walk, but it is so quiet that we usually had the beach to ourselves. Going east, you walk past all of the other big resorts, including Beaches. Getting to Aquamarine is very easy also. If you pass the IGA Supermarket you have gone too far (which will be on the right hand side of the highway, we did not notice the Prather road sign and we actually did pass it). Where the IGA Supermarket is, there is a round-about, just take the round-a-about and go back and at the very first street on the right is Prather Road (there will be actually a sign for it and there is a right hand turn lane for it). Once you are on Prather road, you take it until you get to an intersection at the bottom of the hill. If you make a right, that will take you to Bight City Park and then to the other Grace Bay resorts, if you stay on the road, this will take you to Turtle Cove. Aquamarine is located on the right, right at that intersection. It is marked with a 4 and an 8. You want to make a right into where the 4 is located. To get to most of the restaurants around Provo does not take long from here. Caicos Bakery which is located down by the Seven Stars resort is only about 10 minutes away. This was our breakfast every other day. Fantastic pastries and bread. The following are the restaurants that we visited: Pizza Pizza, CrackPot Kitchen, Caicos Café, Lunch at Mango's Reef, Tiki Hut, Fish Fry at Bight City Park on Thursday night, Magnolias for Sunset drinks, Bella Luna, Bay Bistro. For a no pretense dinner and good value, Tiki Hut was great. And close by. Reviews for these restaurants will be under their respective names in TripAdvisor. We did no snorkeling or boat trips on this vacation due to getting over various physical issues. But, from what everyone was saying, the snorkeling in front of Aquamarine is great and you can actually go east toward Turtle Cove and the snorkeling there is supposed to be great also. So, you really do not need to go anywhere else for your snorkeling, you have it all right at Aquamarine.

Room Tip: The SeaBreeze and SandDunes 2nd floors have fantastic views out to the beach and to Grace Bay. We w...

My husband surprised me with a trip to Turks and Caicos for our anniversary and after reading all the amazing reviews about the Aquamarine Beach Houses, he was sold! And we were NOT disappointed! Everything about the place was perfect! Let me paint you a picture...we pulled up in our rented car and Paula was right there to greet us! She gave us a tour of the beautiful beach house and property...and it was beyond our expectations...spotless, updated, clean and just perfect! Paula had thought of everything you could need! Her staff was also wonderful! One day we came up from the beach and they had decorated the house for Christmas (we visited in December) - the palm tree even had bulbs and lights! We felt so at home the entire time we were there. Paula gave us tips on places to visit, where to grocery shop, where to eat depending on your budget, etc... - she even provides you with a cell phone to be able to call locally or just reach her with questions! The property is heaven on earth with the most beautiful beach just steps from your door. I felt like the pool, volleyball, tennis courts and BBQ grills were just a bonus! Wait - it gets better - the most magnificent snorkeling is right there in front of the property - and Paula provides you with fins, snorkel masks, noodles and so much more! There are beach chairs, cabanas, sea kayaks - you name it! We didn't want for anything! And best part of all is if you are not a big resort type of person (like my husband and I), you will LOVE it! You have this amazing beach pretty much all to yourselves. The day before we were leaving, Paula checked in with us and not only did she give us tips on the airport "experience" when departing (we left on a Saturday which is crazy busy) but John drove us to the airport! I honestly can't rave enough! The website doesn't do it justice so I will post some of our pictures. Thank you so very much Paula and John - we plan on coming back soon!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Aquamarine Beach House for the 2nd time in one year, and we were not disappointed.

Paula and John were so very hospitable and generous; John took my boyfriend out for a full day of fishing. The boys had a fantastic time, and my boyfriend caught a 40 lb grouper!

They invited us for drinks, shared cigars and were the ultimate hosts. You will not regret staying at the Aquamarine Beach House.

Paula was kind enough to arrange for a rental car when we went on an excursion to North Caicos and thank goodness she did! She also recommended a great restaurant in Middle Caicos to try out. (Daniel's Cafe.)

We can't wait for our next vacation to Provo, and we will definitely be staying at the Aquamarine Beach House.

See you soon, Paula and John!!

Imagine waking up to amazing sea sand and sky colours that hold some magic with you forever.
John & Paula are the hosts and they have thought of everything for your perfect stay.
Most has been said on previous reviews, but just want to add that after one week at Aquamarine, we did not want to leave and would have loved to have stayed longer.
There is no better place to stay

I can't use enough adjectives to describe this vacation. Paula and John are outstanding hosts and owners. Their staff was nothing short of excellent. They make you feel so comfortable. There is nothing better than walking out your door and probably 50 paces find yourselves sitting on the beach. The snorkeling is the best and the beach was pristine. If you want to have the most relaxing, wonderful, outstanding vacation... go to Aquamarine House in Provo.. I am so going to go back.

What an awesome place this was! Far enough away from the other hotels to make it feel like you had your own oasis yet close enough to walk to for the restaurants. The snorkeling was much better here than the much publicized areas. We saw sea turtles, barracuda, sting rays, an eagle ray, and a nurse shark (which I have 3 min. of video as I followed him at a leisurely pace during the daytime!) and so much more. The condos were pristine, and I am a very fussy person!
The owners were available if needed yet kept their distance. We have never had the desire to revisit other hotels/condos but, we are planning a return visit in 2014 and can't wait!

Our stay at Aquamarine Beach Houses was the most enjoyable. Our stay begun with a very warm welcome from Paula; we then walked to the local supermarket to buy groceries and ended the afternoon swimming to the reef, a short distance from the beach, just in front of the resort.
Each day, the maids were doing a great cleaning our apartment and they were very nice (the few times we were around when they came).
Most of the time, we had a long stretch of beach to ourselves.
It was really a very relaxing experience and all the people we met were quite friendly; we visited many islands and resorts and Aquamarine is definitely ranked #1 in our short list.
