“Paradise in Provo”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

This is our second time in Provo with our two kids ages 5 and 8 this time, and we couldn't have picked a better place. We didn't want to stay at Beaches -too many kids, too crowded/busy, so we did a day pass and that confirmed our decision. Seven Stars was exactly what we were looking for in a laid back, but luxurious Caribbean getaway.

Highlights:

Location: Set right on a wider, uncrowded beach on the gorgeous turquoise waters of Provo and with beautiful sunset views. Very serene and peaceful. Walking distance to several restaurants, shopping, and supermarket.

Rooms: spacious, immaculate rooms. We rented a 1900 sq ft condo with a huge wraparound terrace overlooking the ocean with sunset views. Spacious full kitchen and master bath with top of the line appliances.

Activities: We enjoyed many water activities in Provo. At the resort, we didn't use the kids club, but we enjoyed the complimentary water sports-paddleboarding, kayaking, etc., the huge pool (could always find float mats and loungers), complimentary yoga overlooking the ocean, and tennis. We especially loved watching the sunsets from our terrace, by the oceanfront bar/restaurant or on the beach as we walked to dinner.

Service: very friendly, hospitable and helpful service especially from the reservations staff (Yngrit), Concierge (Claudine) who helped us with all our dining and activities, pool and dining staff (especially James and Joann) and the water activities staff. Housekeeping service was twice a day and great. They even cleaned/bleached a huge conch shell we got from snorkeling.

I only wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Oceanfront higher floor in Alya bldg for sunset view

My husand and I wanted to have a destination wedding. We picked Turks and Caicos Islands because of our close friend's reccomendation, along with the beach being one of the best rated in the world. Picking a resort to have our wedding was a challenge because there are so many to choose from. We chose Seven Stars because of their beach location, great reviews, amenities and their customer service. We were not dissapointed. Our wedding day was so special. We had about 25 friends and family there and they also couldn't help but feel the magic of such a beautiful place. Working with Laura, the wedding planner at Seven Stars, was easy and because of her experience, our wedding day went smooth. She did some special touches that I did not expect and it made things even better. I had trust in her to take over all the details of the day and I just spent my time enjoying the company of our guests. We are so thrilled to have picked Seven Stars and to have a dream wedding. We are looking forward to returning for our 1yr. anniversary!

My husband and I stayed at the Seven Stars in January 2014 celebrating my birthday. First off, I don't usually write reviews, so this is my short review. This hotel is ideal for couples, families, or friends. It is located in an ideal location. There are stores in walking distance and close to fantastic restaurants.

Our room was fantastic.. Everything is clean, modern and totally made our trip very relaxing. The staff are great!

We loved everything!

We booked Seven Stars through Cheap Caribbean from 4/28-5/2. This was considered off season, yet our weather was perfect. There is nothing cheap about Turks & Caicos, but there’s nothing lacking in luxury here either. We were met at the airport by a Seven Stars representative who directed us to a van for $16.50 pp. Our favorite SSR employee, Lynne Stubbs was first to greet us, seated us with chilled, coconut scented towels and rum punch while checking us in. Lynn gave us a complete tour of the resort and tips about the general area on the way to our single garden view suite on the 2nd floor. Although beautiful, I didn’t care for how close we were to the ground, so Lynne offered an upgrade to oceanfront Suite 1508. Though significantly more expensive, the upgrade was worth every cent. We bought wine, water and a few apps at the grocery we walked to across the street. We enjoyed our balcony as a destination in itself. We brought a collapsible cooler, ice packs, pb&j, bread, goldfish & biscotti from home (Boston). We packed a beach lunch every day & breakfast was included. We dined once at Cocoa Bistro and once at Seven in our resort. Cocoa we did because we’d heard so much about it. We had no reservation but walked over at 5 pm. To enjoy a drink and were seated at 5:30 with no problem. The staff was young & a bit unsure, but the atmosphere was lovely, drinks were fabulous and food was delicious. The next day, we returned from the beach to find a gift of complimentary drinks for our anniversary at Seven, in our resort. Allen, the Restaurant Manager from Donegal, Ireland was so engaging we didn’t want to leave! We left for the local fish fry but turned back before we hit the gate! We enjoyed an incredible roasted beef chateaubriand for two, preceded by a complimentary seafood bisque. Our server Jayson was as much a treat as the fare provided by Executive Chef Bjorn, who graciously visited us with a taste of raspberry topped fudge at the end of our meal. We were disappointed that our 5 glasses of wine were $18 each, but even still, the entire experience was heavenly. Aside from the outstanding resort, Provo itself is Mother Nature’s Masterpiece. I read somewhere that Provo’s like being stuck in a screensaver-exactly! We swam over our heads and could still make out all 5 points on a starfish in the sand below. We would highly recommend throwing frugality to the wind and living it up in style at this absolutely fabulous resort. This should definitely be on every bucket list!

Room Tip: Oceanfront Jr. Suites in higher floors afforded breathtaking views.

This was our second stay. We definitely enjoyed it just as much the second time here. There was a plate with brownies and fruit with a welcome back card awaiting us.
Our ocean front suite faced West and overlooked the pool and the ocean. (Room 1402). It didn't feel as private as the rooms on the East side of the building, but once we were used to it, it was nice to see people walking around and enjoying the grounds. Being on this side did give us absolutely fabulous views of the sunset from our balcony.
Tip: Get a room 4th floor or higher to get an un obstructed view over the palm trees to the ocean.
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. Lots to choose from and lots of fresh fruit.
Housekeeping staff did a wonderful job cleaning up each day. Fresh towels, toiletries replenished, coffee replenished, beds made, dishes done. That was a treat to come to at the end of the day.
At the beach the chairs and towels were plentiful. The waitstaff was attentive, bringing drinks if you wished, but also leaving you alone if you brought your own refreshments down from the unit. Tip: bring along a small cooler bag to take drinks and sandwiches to the beach to eat/ drink at your convenience and to help keep costs down.
We borrowed snorkelling gear one day, which was very convenient.
We rented a car from across the street Caicos Rentals, which was an inexpensive way to see the whole island. Drove to Smith's Reef and Taylor Bay. Drove to some shopping places. Then to a restaurant at night. For only $54 daily rental it's cheaper than taxi fees and you can park right outside the building. It's an experience driving on the "wrong" side of the road!
Cons: the beautiful king size bed seemed too soft- would prefer firmer mattress.
The room right next to us was rented out for the last couple of days. It was only separated from our unit by an interior door. (We shared the same entranceway, ) We could hear conversations of the neighbours coming into our unit from under the door and through the walls.
If,and when, we come back to TCI, we will come back to Seven Stars!

This is my first review on any website and the reason I am starting now is because of how wonderful Seven Stars is and what an amazing time we had at the resort. My husband and I were married at the resort earlier this year and it was perfect in every way. We had a smaller wedding party consisting of only 15 total guests. We were a little concerned about having a wedding at a resort (and at an island) that we had never been to and knew nothing about. We knew we wanted to get married in the Caribbean but we had no idea which island and which hotel. After spending hours and hours on websites such as this one, we finally picked Seven Stars in Provo. It was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the island is beautiful and clean, and the staff at the hotel was excellent. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure that our stay and our wedding was amazing. We had so much fun and everyone who attended our wedding had nothing but the most positive reviews as well. We went during peak traveling dates, and we never had a problem getting seats by the pool and seats together (for 10-15!) on the beach. They had tons of free beach and pool accessories which was an added bonus. We were close enough to walk to restaurants off the resort via the beach or the road. There was a supermarket right across the street that had everything you could need including wine/beer/liquor. The rooms were perfect and so clean and beautiful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to get married on the beach. The wedding planner, Laura, had everything taken care of so I did not need to worry about absolutely anything at all. She had a back up plan ready for her back up plan. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was and how it made our wedding the least stressful and most romantic and fun weekend of our lives.

My husband and I had a lovely and relaxing vacation, despite the fact that it was spring break for families with young children and the hotel was full. We never had a problem finding a lounge chair in the shade on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The Deck restaurant had gentle ocean breezes and delicious food. The ocean view room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. My one complaint was with the concierge services. When we asked about a catamaran snorkel trip, the concierge recommended the hotel's trip, which was not a catamaran. When I asked about other trips, he didn't seem to know any details, and after making one phone call, said, "they won't have a trip on Friday." When I asked about other companies, he said he didn't know. I also inquired about price differences, and he had no idea about what other companies. I traveled to Greece last summer, and the concierge in Santorini was extremely helpful. I read many reviews about the service, and felt that the concierge was particularly weak. They didn't really know much about area restaurants either.

In contrast, the entire pool, beach and wait staff were extremely friendly and offered superb service. They waiters and waitresses were more knowledgable about things to do in the area than the concierge.

That said, we had a fantastic vacation.

Room Tip: All the buildings are conveniently located. The third floor rooms look over the palm trees to the oc...
