“Okay if you like your food mediocre”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

It was average, but being served outside with that fabulous ocean breeze caused food to become cold before being able to finish. Overall it's okay if you don't want to leave the resort.

“Great Resort Restaurant”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

Some resort restaurants can be overpriced and not very good. The Terrace is pricey - but it was a great meal.

Reservations are required. We were given the option to select from their dinner or lunch menu - both of which had a lot of great options. I opted for the Mango & Walnut Salad and my date had the Filet Mignon. Both were excellent.

The view can't be beat.

Live music starts every night around 7 I believe, so dinner might be a little loud.

“Good Food, Great Views, and Awesome Service(if you get Jessica)”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

The title says it all. The food was good...some dishes were great, some were good. The views are out of this world. Service at first was decent, but when Jessica took care of us...everything was perfect. She's awesome. The absolute best!

“Lobster is perfection! Service hit or miss.”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. It isn't fabulous but has some solid food choices and gorgeous views. The Terrace restaurant is an L-shaped, open air place on the second floor of the main hotel building of the Buccaneer. There is a side of this restaurant that is designated as "the Terrace" and the other side is the more casual side called the Martel Lounge. The terrace side has a fancier, pricier menu, and is furthest away from the live music. It requires a collared shirt for the men, and reservations are highly recommended if you want to get seated promptly. The grilled shrimp was good, blue cheese burger was nice. The lobster was the showpiece here though. It was done to perfection and served beautifully. If you're dining with another, consider the shareable size...it is a bargain.
If you walk in for an impromptu meal, you can sit in either restaurant and order from either menu. The live music was great every night, and on the weekends people usually get up and dance. Service was spotty. First night we waited 25 minutes for a refill on our drink. Second night we sat without a waiter and watched another table who was seated after us get their drinks before us. But after we got a waiter, things improved greatly.
Btw, the hotel serves their breakfast buffet here from 7am to 10:30am, free to guests, and $21 for visitors. Great selections and hit or miss service.
